The Time of Magic
Magic a mysterious force that was the driving force of many wondrous and unusual things. It was also the fuel of many unique evolution's, one of them being humans themselves. Created from a species of ape, magic in the air invaded the pores of the most talented allowing them to think clearer and more complex. Human apes though were not the first nor the last in the line of the newly evolved species.
Right around this time other magical creatures were also taking shape, the smarter species seem to benefit the most from this evolutionary time, animals who lived in communities.
Many strong ones were created, and our poor black colored wolf with orange eyes was nowhere near the top of the food chain. He was one of the smarter wolves so the magic affected him greater then the rest, there were only a few other wolves like him, but they had a more aggressive/greedy personality. That was their downfall, they thought they could challenge the lions, tigers and bears and other such creatures at the time. It ended in their deaths leaving only one original wolf left, but the black wolf couldn't do anything either. He was smart enough to avoid these clashes and simply waited it out, after all, he knew when wolves were the strongest and that's when he would make his move.
Ice Age finally hit and it was brutal. No species was spared, all of them suffered trying to survive the brutal cold and limited resources. It quickly wiped out many of the once-proud Originals that were the first of there kind, but not all, after all being the strongest they had priority over all others with what limited resources there were. This, of course, led to fighting among each other as the years went on and on with no end in sight of the cold. The wars also grew more brutal for food, the carnivores of course started to resort to eating each other at a faster and faster rate, yes even cannibalism.
However, there was an exception to all of this, one species that thrived in the cold, the wolves.
The last original wolf, the black wolf with orange eyes, gathered the remaining wolves together making a giant pack of 54 wolves. In the beginning, he made sure to use his pack for fast hard strikes, while avoiding the main force of the others. As time went on, seeing the others weaken more and more, he began to start his campaign. With the spark of power from magic, he could feel the urge to do more, be more.
His alpha instincts took hold as he controlled the pack. No more waiting, no more hiding, this is the time of the wolf and he was going to make sure to take it all.
The ice age lasted for far to long, it gave the wolf plenty of time to kill and feast on all the other originals that were born during the magic awakening time. (the shift from nonmagical world to the magical world is what set off the ice age.)

Feasting on the other Originals infused his body with more magic than ever before, sending his body into an evolving frenzy, his power grew significantly as well as his size. He was now the size of a horse in wolf form, he also is now officially a shape-shifter gaining his 8ft tall werewolf monster form. (later he learns as a shape-shifter he can turn into a human form, and also a human/wolf hybrid form. lookup noblesse werewolf to see.)
His powers now include super speed, strength, and the ability to change others into werewolves from a bite, the ones he changed were made into alphas. He also has a mating bite (which he hasn't used yet) which mark and make loyal those he wants for mates, his mating bite gives them all the same werewolf forms he has with half his power. He now has pack power - his power grows as his pack grows and he can no longer die unless all of his pack is first killed and then you have to destroy the heart and brain at the same time. (The pack is equal to all werewolves created from now on, also he can use blood suppression.)
The ice age lasted way too long, over time his pack dwindled, of the 53 wolves under him, now only 8 survived. He turned them into werewolves like himself, making them far stronger because they started as wolves like him. Consisted of 5 males and 3 females which split off and went their own way, our black wolf at the time was basking in the glory of being the best and thought all those were beneath him, so he didn't care about it and let them leave as they pleased while he trained alone in his new power.
....
As the centuries came and went, the pack grew as they spread across the world, but they weren't the only ones. Humans finally came into power and started building all over the world and spreading as well, this led to conflict with the magical creatures. Wars broke out, however, the humans of old became quite efficient with magic, especially the women. Spells were created and waged against the magical creatures. With their power on the rise, they started wiping out most magical creatures, who had to eventually retreat away from the world and hide.
Time went on and humans grew, but with most magical creatures being wiped out, as well as the humans destroying more and more of the planet, magic started to weaken more and more as time went on. The once-powerful magical humans became weaker as well. With human societies growing and becoming more complex with governments and politics popping up, the men in power became corrupt. Thinking the threat of magical beasts is over, they thought they no longer needed the witches, so fearing their power they waged a religious war on them cutting their numbers to near extinction along with the beasts.
Now as time went on the vast majority of humans forgot and think of it now as nothing more than fantasy stories with which to enjoy a good read.
