Rebekah changed to a black floral velvet sweater with pink flowers and light blue jeans pants, Nevan changed back to his usual as they lowered themselves down in front of her New Orleans home.
Rebekah- "Nevan I know you don't seem to care much about humans noticing you, but we've learned to live keeping them in the dark so as not to draw the entire race against us at once."
Nevan- "Relax no one noticed us, it's still dark, hardly anyone around to notice and you, my dear never need to be worried again about anything, who cares if the humans learn of us or not, you know at one point they all knew of us."
Rebekah rolled her eyes- "Yeah and from what you told me, it was war."
Nevan laughed embarrassingly at that while scratching the back of his head.
They walked through the door into a small tunnel-like entrance before being stopped at the entryway into the courtyard by an invisible force.
Nevan put his hand out and started testing it before he heard mocking laughter coming from inside.
Niklaus sneered- "Please, I don't know how much stronger Finn has gotten, but I can assure you, even before his recent upgrade it can be close to impossible to easily break a barrier he's planned out so well."
Rebekah looking at Nevan choose not to ask him for his help as she saw the irritated look on his face.
Rebekah- "Nik, do you know what he's planning? What mother is planning?"
Niklaus skeptically looked at her before he had a funny thought- "Rebekah, you should be more worried about our father." giving her a nasty grin.
Rebekah paled, she still had a lingering fear from all the running they've done to get away from him- "Father?! Elijah never said anything about that."
Niklaus- "It must have slipped his mind, he's not exactly at a 100%, I was wondering how it would be nice for you to show our new friend his In-Laws."
Nevan not liking his girl looking scared, took her arm and showed her out,- "Sooo, want to talk about it? Or would you like me to go find him and bring him to you on his knees?"
Rebekah hearing this visibly calmed down as she remembered who her husband was and who she now was,- "That's not necessary, I don't want anything to do with my family anymore, I only care for Elijah and Hope, the rest can be forgotten."

Nevan skeptically asked- "Do you really mean that?"
"I don't know, but I am tired of it, come let's go shopping," she said as she pulled a now depressed Nevan along.

When daylight came so did Davina as she waited at the barrier entrance to try and help Kol out.
Kol came over with a smile when he noticed, happy to see her smiling back.
Davina- "Don't worry, I'll get you out."
Kol- "I don't know love, this could be tricky, Finn was a lot stronger than normal, he must be channeling something and you no longer have the ancestors help."
Davina frowned not liking his negativity- "We can't just give up." she said as she placed her hands at towards the barrier trying to bring it down. Kol's life was at risk should he remain in there with the vampires who were slowly starving.
She soon threw her hands back in frustration at not even the slightest success, looking towards Kol who looked concerned,- "Come on, do you have any ideas?"
Kol- "We can try channeling a link between ourselves to temporarily remove it, but it'll be risky, we'll likely only have one shot and it won't last long."
Davina grinned- "That's all we need, let's do it." raising her hands to line up with his they started to channel the power.
The vampires within the barrier were vulnerable to sunlight despite their daylight rings. They were watching from the shadows as Kol and Davina worked.
Niklaus was also watching and waiting, unlike the vampires who were stuck, he could move freely in the day because of his hybrid status.
They chanted, closing their eyes and concentrated on the link they were slowly forcing through the barrier. Then the wind picked up as they neared the end before it blasted away from the barrier as they finished.
Davina started moving her hand closer to check, "Davina wait!" Kol yelled still worried it might be up and she would get hurt.
Davina smiled as her hand touched his making him smile back, they succeeded in bring the barrier down.
Niklaus zoomed forward and grabbed Kol throwing him back into the courtyard as he held Davina from running to him.
Kol shocked- "What the hell?"
Niklaus- "Sorry brother, but you'll have to stay here, Davina needs the motivation to help find a way to break the spell for my friends still trapped, wouldn't want them to stay that way after all."
Kol angry- "Nik that isn't necessary, we'll help you."
Niklaus just about laughed at his noble statement- "You'll forgive me if I don't believe you, you haven't exactly been very loyal as of late."
Davina screamed as she felt the barrier go back up- "No! They'll kill him!"
Niklaus evilly grinned at her- "Then I suggest you, hurry up and find a way to get this barrier permanently down."
The vampires who were feeling hungrier as time went on, at a faster rate than should be happening, were eyeing Kol as he carefully stood in the sun.
Davina gave a pleading look towards Marcel who gave her nod that he would protect Kol before she was dragged away by Niklaus.

Finn at this time was growing frustrated at not being able to find the white oak stake, so he devised a spell that would trap his brothers mind inside a creation of his, that would allow him to slowly peel away their secrets while also giving his barrier spell time to run its course for the upcoming festival.
He didn't know where his promised allies were but they seemed to be in no hurry to get here.
