The starter

In addition to ensuring the smooth progress of the project, Kemuri also had to tackle a sudden 3-hour crash course to familiarize herself with the terminology and ecosystem of her new position. It all went over her head. Afterwards, she made her way back home, feeling exhausted. As she walked, under the moonlit evening, she noticed a frail-looking woman crawling on the ground, moving away from an alleyway. Kemuri passed by her without making eye contact, but then the woman called out, "Kemuri..." Kemuri halted in her steps. "Please help m—" the woman pleaded. A tall, muscular man had her in a chokehold. "Let her go," Kemuri shouted. The man turned to face Kemuri, his artificial eye reflecting the streetlight. "Listen, girl, if you don't want to get hurt, I suggest you leave."
