The King Reveals Himself

The King Reveals Himself

They all went inside and sat around. Ethan was reading his copy of Journey to the West, Sanzang was hopping around the house, and Thea and Ajesh were sitting with the old man listening to his story. “I was searching for an ancient ruin 20 years ago.” the old man told “with some of my friends. Then the star fell right next to us, and we woke up in a cave. We had no idea we got here, but we had that feeling that I’m sure you felt when you first figured out you had these powers.”. “Overwhelming happiness and hyperactive energy?” Ethan asked. “No,” replied the old man. “Confusion and tiredness.”. “My friends grew corrupt with this power. They didn’t think they were mortals with godly powers, they wanted to play god.” The old man explained. “I’m lucky I got away with just a lost arm. I was the weakest of all of them.”. Sanzang finally talked, jumping down from the roof. “Alright that’s cool and all but you haven’t even told us your name! You could be a wanted criminal for all we know!” Sanzang said to the man. Before the man could say anything, “You ARE a wanted criminal Zang’!” Ajesh yelled. The old man just said “My name is El, and I have to go.” The old man got up and started walking to the door. Before he could leave Ajesh grabbed him by the back of his collar. “You have a head God. You can at least show us what you can do.” he requested. “I would, but I don’t have anything to show. To show you the full extent of my abilities, I’d need a rod around 6 to 7 feet tall.” Sanzang ran up, carrying a 6.5 foot batten. “Hey…I kinda broke this off the roof and I have no clue what to do with it.” Ajesh snatched it out of his hand. “Thanks. See El? Now show me what you can do.” He handed El the batten. El took it and held it. “Gungnir, manifest.” The batten transformed into a spear with a blue glow. He took the spear and stabbed it into the ground. “Form, Asgard.”. A land with golden houses everywhere, fountains formed around everyone. And behind El was a fortress with gold pillars. “This is the fortified home of the Aesir. Asgard.” Everyone was stunned, not knowing where they were. Sanzang was the first to speak up. “Where the hell are we? We were in an abandoned warehouse a second ago!”. El calmly answered “to outsiders it looks like we disappeared. Head gods can manifest their domains, or heavens.”. Ajesh looked ecstatic about this information. “Alright old man, if I know one thing about heavens, it’s that I don’t belong in them. I will wreck this place on a whim.” Ethan told El. Everything dissipated, and El fell to the ground. “It takes a lot of energy to maintain this place.”. “Alright oversized shirt dude, can we fight now? I want that fight.” Ethan asked Ajesh. Just then Ajesh walked outside. “Does this place have a demon problem? There is a lot of Chaos here. You guys feel it right?” Ajesh asked them. Everyone but Sanzang nodded. “Yes. We should check that out.” Thea responded, walking outside with her spear, “Spear of war, manifest.” transforming it into a gold spear glowing with red. Ethan jumped out. “I know Chaos Soul. I partially pull soul energy from it.” Ethan pulled out a toothpick “Ruyi Jingu Bang, manifest.” Transforming it into his staff, and increasing its size. He put the staff on both his shoulders, and holding his hands on it, walking towards the energy. El sat down, and yelled at Sanzang, “Why are they the only ones walking! Come on, move it!” Sanzang replied “I don’t know what we’re going to fight! And I don’t have a weapon!”. El yelled back “Your brother walked into the problem, why didn’t you?”. “Fine,” Sanzang said, walking outside, stretching. “I’m blaming you if I get my ass beat!”. Outside there was a dragon made of black and crimson energy, with a ton of demons following it. “Ooh that’s not good. We’re completely outnumbered.” Sanzang said. “Not true.” Ethan said, pulling out a few hairs from his head. He blew them into the air, and they all transformed. “That’s how you made the clones?” Ajesh questioned. “Doesn’t matter how he makes them, at least we aren’t outnumbered anymore!” Thea yelled. They all attacked. Ethan and his clones were easily fighting the demons. Ajesh was blowing them up with no issues, walking towards the dragon. Thea was jumping from demon to demon, ripping them apart with her spear. Sanzang was dodging the attacks, running towards the dragon. One of the Ethan clones yelled at Sanzang “What the hell are you doing? You can’t fight one demon let alone a dragon!” Sanzang smiled and said to the clone “Can’t be too hard right?”.
