El dropped Ajesh at an old cabin, and Sanzang Ethan and Thea threw Lysander on the ground. “Why is he so damn heavy!?” Thea exclaimed in anger. Sanzang walked outside, breathing in the fresh air. “How did you know about this place?” he asked El. “I was a nomad before the falling star.” He explained. “This is one of the places I lived in.”. Ethan walked around, and was clearly impressed. “We should go into the city, it’s almost dinner time,” Sanzang told El. “we’re gonna have to stay here a while.”. Before he could walk out the house, Thea grabbed him by the arm and dragged him inside. “We can’t go out or stay here. They clearly know where we are.”. Sanzang and Thea started to argue, and before they could start a fight El interrupted. “There’s a car in the back that can fit a lot of people. If we can work on it, we can leave the state.”. “Alright, that's our plan, but where do we go?!” Ethan yelled, annoyed that he had to leave New York. “There’s a city that’s been rising in the past 20 years, we can go there” Thea told Ethan. “I was raised there, we’ll be safe.”. “How did you get here then?” El asked. “I know what city you're talking about, it’s like 1 state away from here!”. “Someone drove me, but then they died.” She told El, looking sad while saying it. “Alright let's work on the car!” Sanzang said, before running to the garage. They all went, and after a few hours Lysander woke up. “Oh my back hurts so much” Lysander yelled, shaking his long hair and bangs, messing them up. Ajesh woke up from the yelling. “Woah, my arm’s alright!”. “Yeah, Novas naturally heal if they aren’t hurt for a long enough time. Even faster for us.” Lysander told Ajesh, hitting his own chest while saying so, throwing up water. “Oh I got water in my lungs.”. “Why are you acting so differently? You could’ve killed me right now!” Ajesh yelled. “I couldn’t. You’re as strong as me. Besides, I respect you. We’ll have a rematch one day, but today is not that day.” Lysander explained. “Who’s the King of Novas?” Ajesh asked. “Elias, one of the five Old Novas, Nova of Zeus.”. Just as he said this, El walked in. “Elias was a rash one, I’ll give him that. Lysander, do you even know what the Old Novas want to do?” El said. “No, they just took me in after learning I’m a part of the Nova Trinity.” Lysander answered. “They want to unite the heavens and Earth, causing all Novas but themselves to be wiped out.” El told him. “Well I don’t want that.” Lysander told him in surprise. “We just finished repairing the truck and are going to leave the state. Wanna join? You can sit in the truck!” El joked, chuckling at his own joke. “Nah. I’d prefer to go my own way. Thank you for telling me, Old Man.” Lysander told El, before walking out the cabin, hitting his head on the door. “Rude guy.” Ajesh said, hiding his laugh. “OVERSIZED SHIRT DUDE AND OLD ARMLESS GUY COME ON! SANZANG AND SPEAR GIRL ARE ALREADY IN” Ethan yelled. “That’s our cue. Don’t worry, you can sit in the front. Sanzang and Ethan are sitting in the back, and Thea in the middle.” El said. “Alright then. I need a break from fighting man.”. Ajesh got up and went to the truck, joining everyone, and then they left.
