To the land of water-(2)

To the land of water-(2)

On the same place,

MORNING--6:25 A.M,

***

RED'S P.O.V,

THUD!

"Ugh!"

"Hey! What happened to the kid?"

"Oh, it's nothing. I just fell off the bench."

I found myself in a bit of a predicament. Somehow, I had fallen asleep while sitting on a public wooden bench. And just now, I embarrassingly tumbled off, catching the attention of passengers and workers alike!

Despite the commotion, only one elderly gentleman approached to check on my well-being. It spoke volumes about this world.

Returning to the present, the old man wore a concerned expression, evident in the wrinkles of his weathered face.

"Are you sure you're okay? Maybe we should head to the doctor, just to be safe."

"Thanks for the concern, gramps, but I'm good."

The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

"You're absolutely certain?"

"Yeah, I'm fine!"

...

I had to reassure him repeatedly until he finally relented and let me go.

I made my way to the port where passengers gathered, awaiting the arrival of their ship.

"Hey, beautiful lady, can you tell me what time it is?"

"Oh, what a cute child! It's still some time before the ship arrives."

I employed a classic cheesy line on one of the women at the port, who was peddling various items to passengers—motion sickness remedies, perfume, and the like. She responded in kind, though my charm seemed to work its magic on her.

My face must be quite sinful; I didn't even need to resort to my ultimate puppy eyes technique!

After a short wait, the ship arrived at the scheduled time.

"Everyone, hurry up and board the ship!"

The vessel wasn't massive, but it measured thirty meters in length and ten meters in width. Constructed of dark brown wood, it possessed a decent appearance.

With a maximum capacity of one hundred passengers, we were only fifty in total, including me, a lone child.

A burly man then appeared and barked orders at the passengers. His average face was marred with scars, the kind of person who could make children cry with just a glance.

He seemed like an NPC to me, so I won't dwell on his details, but he definitely came across as a bit of a jerk.

However, none of the passengers seemed to mind his demeanor, obediently boarding the ship without protest.

Observing everyone's compliance with the boss's attitude, I meekly followed suit and boarded the ship to not attract any unnecessary attention.

Once on the deck, I became captivated by the beauty of the sea, a sight I had never seen even in my previous life. Ignoring everyone else, I immersed myself in the breathtaking spectacle of the ocean.

Meanwhile, the ship began its journey across the sea towards the Land of Water, Mizu-no-Kuni.

...

To be continued...

Will he be able to reach the land of water?
