CHAPTER 1412 DO YOU WANT TO HAVE A CHILD WITH ME
Jerry had no choice but to hold the kid's hand and take her to a nearby candle shop.
He bought a few sheets of white paper from the shop owner and drew adorable little animals on the paper with a pen. Under his skillful hands, two sheets of paper with doodles were transformed into a paper pinwheel.
As the pinwheel began to spin, the animals on the paper looked like they were running, seemingly incredibly adorable.
The beautiful pinwheel instantly brought a smile to the teary-eyed little girl's face. She exclaimed, “Wow, it's so pretty! Sir, you're so skillful with your hands!”
The kid happily walked away with the pinwheel in hand.
However, Charlotte was unhappy. She got jealous and told Jerry, “You have to make a pinwheel for me too, and it has to be prettier than that brat's!”
“Fine,” Jerry reluctantly agreed.
A few minutes later, Charlotte received a beautiful pinwheel with a cartoon version of herself. She was extremely satisfied.
After leaving the candle shop, Charlotte saw the kid with her hair tied looking quite smug as she showed off her pinwheel to her friends.
Charlotte deliberately walked over to the kid and waved her pinwheel before the child, exclaiming, “My pinwheel is even prettier than yours.”
Under the gaze of the kid's wide eyes, Charlotte proudly walked away arm-in-arm with Jerry.
Jerry felt mixed emotions from her antics and commented, “You're a grown-up. There's no need to be jealous of a three or four-year-old child, let alone show off on purpose. You're really something.”
“I want to because you made that pinwheel for her,” Charlotte retorted. : text © owner.
She wrapped one arm around his waist and hid from the wind inside his coat. Suddenly, she looked at him and asked, “Why are you so gentle with that brat? Do you like children?”
Jerry said, “They are quite adorable.”
“So you like them.” Charlotte rubbed her chin against his sweater and asked sweetly, “Do you want to have a child with me?”
His arm around her shoulders tightened slightly, and he looked at her. “Are you serious?”
“Just kidding!” Charlotte burst into laughter.
Charlotte had a privileged upbringing. Kenneth and Jessica each had a good married life, and Charlotte loved her niece, Sasha. However, she did not like the idea of marriage and was even less interested in having children.
A person's life was up to them. They could lead whatever kind of life they wanted, and life could be
enjoyable without children too.
Charlotte liked that Jerry exclusively doted on her.
Jerry knew she was joking, but her answer still hurt his heart. He raised his hand and gently ruffled her hair without saying anything.
After descending Mount Cokrekyo, the couple found a restaurant to have lunch at.
There was a subway in Baykeep that led to Xedells directly. The trip would only take a few dozen minutes. Charlotte wanted to shop in Xedells, but Jerry said that the malls in Baykeep had everything available in Xedells, so there was no need to make an extra trip.
Charlotte thought he just lost a loved one recently, so he did not want to go back to Xedells so soon. Therefore, the two of them strolled around Baykeep.
Around eight in the evening, Evan sent a message to Jerry, inviting him to hang out at the bar.
Charlotte took the initiative to help Jerry accept the invitation and even changed into a new dress she had just bought. She put on beautiful makeup, and her eyes were so captivating. They seemed to contain stars and enchant anyone who saw them.
Jerry checked her out and commented solemnly, “Are you coming with me to the party, or are you going to find a new boyfriend for yourself?”
“Don't be jealous. No man can compare to you,” Charlotte coaxed him.
Evan did not like to play around too much. Each time he hosted a gathering, he only invited those he got along with or the club members, as they all knew each other well.
When Charlotte arrived, several other ladies were already in the private room—some charming, and some looked sweet and innocent. As soon as Charlotte entered, her beauty instantly became the focus and outshined other girls.
In the private room, a man whistled and praised without sounding too flirtatious, “Lottie, you look even more beautiful than last time.”
“Thank you.” After taking off her coat and hanging it up, Charlotte's gaze swept across the faces of the girls in the room, but she did not see the one she was looking for.
Charlotte sat down next to Jerry and took a sip of his cocktail.
Then, she turned her head to look at Evan. “Where is she?”
