I went down stairs half awake, because of some lowlife waking me up early, to my doorbell.”Maybe I should make them wait longer,” I said with a morning voice while walking in slow motion toward the door.
*Ding Dong* *Ding Dong*
Who the hell is ringing my damn door when I see this guy imma-... Not do anything, I thought when I swinged open the door. There stood a woman I wouldn’t have been able to describe, because my body went limp and my brain dull. Her face and body was alluring while her silk smooth black hair flowed with the wind as if she was an angel coming to collect me, causing even my jaw to drop thinking why the hell is a girl like her here and especially waking me up! Even as I was aggravated a smile became of her face and her eyes sparkled somewhat making all of it go away bit by bit.
“Hello, my husband”.
“Wrong house,” I nervously said, shutting the door at light speed. “Wait, Emmanuel” she shouted before I closed the door. I became even more confused, who the hell is this girl and why won't she let me sleep

“Who are you? And please hurry up I'm a very busy man” which was a lie but it could get her to go away. “It’s me Stella, I called your mom. I was coming back to get married earlier on. Did she not tell you?” My soul left my body ready for the taking, as if God was there ready to accept me.
“Can I come on in?” I snapped back which was a shame but life must go on. “S-Sure come in,” As I walked behind, the smell of her shampoo changed the house’s scent to flowers. It made me feel as if I was running in a patch of lavender. The smell somewhat made the confusion I gathered dissipate, before she began talking again.
“So you just have to sign these papers… Or do you want a proper wedding with all our family and your loving fiance sitting here in a wedding dress?” Stella said with her face bright red in anticipation. What is she talking about, Why am I the only one who doesn’t understand, Mom you knew this and didn’t tell me.
“Stella start from the beginning. How did we decide to get married when I didn't even see nor agreed to anything?”. She looked similarly confused as if I spoke a different language or asked her to state pi. “Emmanuel dont you remember the day before I left the country? The day you took me out for my last day”, the last day before she left for 3 years. “Wait, Stella you mean the day I drank so much I didn't even know how nor if I got home at the same time.”
“Yes that day, I remember it clearly. You said when you come back Stella let’s get married that's what you said, I thought it was a joke so I ask many times but you kept insisting, so I promised to come back” When, Why, How the hell could I have said that, I’m an idiot, no an imbecile maybe both.
“Are you ready to sign the papers, you did promise, and I kept mine, are you going to break the thing that held my hopes high for years Mr Everett”. Tears started coming from her eyes, which were most likely forced but still what could go wrong signing these papers. I knew Stella since we were in 1st grade, I don't see a reason not to sign the papers and marry her, it was and still is my fault. “Ok i’ll sign the papers Stella as a promise to my old friend and intoxicated me.”
*Signing papers with 2 minutes of thought for a lifetime commitment wasn’t the smartest thing I could have done, but to this day I still don't regret it, As it worked out I think.*
