Chapter 8: Went Home

Chapter 8: Went Home

As my Mother drove the both of us back to my apartment, I couldn’t but remember my old life, past friends, my now wife. What happened in the years we split. After I met Luna and Lucas and started working at their fathers company, I had no time for the joys that this world offered. I’m grateful for-

*Snore*

I retorted my words as she snored and drooled all over my shoulder.

Didn’t she sleep last night. It was eleven in the morning.

As mom pulled into my apartment parking lot, she turned back as I tried waking Stella.

“Are you sure the two of you can live in there normally”

“Yeah we’ll be fine, plus I don’t really have the time to try get a new place right now”

“If you want, I'll happily let both of you live with us.”

I silently shook my head immediately denying my mother’s offer, whilst taking our bags out the car with an unconscious person standing outside, waiting for me.

“Bye, Mom,” I said as she drove off. Then I turned to Stella.

“Ready to head home?”

She silently nodded at me with her eyes drooping from exhaustion. I took her by the waist and walked up to my apartment.

Looking at it now, I never really left my place. Was I really that much of a shut in.

I opened the door, and walked in with a half awake Stella, putting her to lay on the one person bed I had.

“Now where do I get to sleep?”

I stood in the middle of my definitely spotless room. It wasn’t as bad as I left it, maybe somewhat cleaned. Before I could ask questions I still needed someplace to sleep, even if she’s my wife, that bed’s too small for two people, how could I make this work, do I just sleep on the floor.

“Water… Please”

I heard a raspy voice, asking for water. Then when I saw my pleading wife, I understood why.

“Here drink this, are you sick?”

I said as I handed her the filled glass. As she drank the water I realized she wasn’t even awake. She was still half asleep. Her eyes half open, her hair tangled as if it were wired headphones left on a bed, and the most obvious source to my conclusion. She kept speaking gibberish. It somewhat sounded like a s⚫ms 4 character having a conversion inside the game.

“… Emmanuel come closer, hehe”

I heard her call for me so I instinctively gathered closer to her. As I became arms length she started talking once more.

“Please, don’t leave me again. I miss you, come closer. Don’t go”

“What are you dreaming about?”

She then threw both her hands over my back and locked me into a bear hug, once again. After a few simple codified techniques she managed to get me on the other side of bed, unable to move nor have room to sleep. I slowly started thinking she had some background in martial arts.

“Why does this situation seem too familiar”

*

“Life’s so great”

I got off my bed, preparing for my daily routine. As I got up rays shone through my window, birds chirped while they flew through the morning breeze. As I sat down to enjoy breakfast, I started hearing my neighbor making a ruckus next door.

“Guess Emmanuel came back, wonder why he’s so loud. He didn’t even come tell me, he had come back even after asking me to watch over his apartment.”

“What could he be doing, It’s getting louder inside there. I think I should go ask him.”

I opened my front door and walked a few feet over, the closer I got the more I heard what was making a noise. It was a high pitch scream forming at random. But I never saw him ever bring a girl home. Why would a woman be inside his apartment now? Did that bastard go on a trip and get a girlfriend, I thought we had a pact?

There was no time to think, I just holstered the bravery I saved up for the situation at hand. Swiftly opened the door to seeing the situation in its fullest.

“Emmanuel what’s going, on…”

What the hell happened inside this room, It looked as if a tornado ran through and disappeared.

“Stella, Stella kill it. Kill it!”

“Oh alright, would you shut the hell up already”

Someone wasn’t being murdered, except Emmanuel’s manhood. As he stood on top of the bed waiting for, this woman I presume her name was Stella tried to kill a bug.

“What's… Going on?”

“Huh”

“Oh, Stephan”
