Chapter 8.5: Surrounding Perspectives

˜Leyla's Perspective˜

My name is Leyla. I have a happy family with my mother, my husband, and my son.

Recently, my son has been acting strangely. Or maybe he has been acting like this the whole time but I just noticed.

Every day, my son would rarely come out of his room except for morning practice. Because of this, his skin is bleached a pale white. Although he looks like thin, with his already girly looks, he looks like a very beautiful girl.

When I'm in the kitchen, I can hear some noises from his room. Sometimes, he would without warning start celebrating. Other times, he would be so silent you would think he was sleeping. But that was impossible. I check every night and he sleeps a lot, and everytime I visit he's awake.

Really, what does he do in that room of his. I keep feeling fluctuations of the mana flow from there, but it's so small that I long ago dismissed it as my imagination. Besides, the fluctuations seem to come off that hair of his.

That skill is the only reason he keeps his hair long. It makes him have really long and straight hair.

˜Dai's Perspective˜

My name is Dai Esemanteiv, or it used to. Now my name is Dai Voilong.

Every morning, I teach my son and three other kids how to train their bodies. I work with another man named Leyland [G] who is the father of the three children.

Every day, at 6:00 in the morning, they would do various physical exercises to improve their stats. Then we would cultivate ki and afterwards learn the skills of a tracker and hunter.

On the first day though…

It was a beautiful morning. The sky was clear, the air was fresh, and the screams of children were loud.

The four kids were currently doing a simple obstacle course to determine how far we can push them. I won't say what the obstacle course is like, but I will say that we added something to encourage the kids.

Oh, I see my son. He's currently running away from those level 11 dogs I released earlier.

For these level 1 kids, they are an unbeatable wall that they have to overcome. They have to run through the obstacle course and avoid the dogs at the same time. If they're too slow, they will get bitten by blunt iron teeth.

Oohhh, Soula just turned around. WHAT!!! He just used a ki attack, and his movements. It seems he has an incredible talent for hand-to-hand combat. I'll wait till he grows up till I teach him.

Now, what about the other kids? Rudy picks up a stick. He seems to swing the stick with force, but doesn't notice the dogs behind him. He might have some talent with a greatsword. Ruka tries to fight with her fists, but soon she gets overwhelmed. Runa tries to throw rocks. Even though she hit places like an eye or leg, the straw enemies don't care. It seems she got overwhelmed as well.

It seems the one with the most battle potential is my son. This will be an interesting case. Lets see how they will handle the training.

˜Ruka's Perspective˜

My name is Ruka [G]. My family is part of a famous clan. Because of this, I'm the strongest 5 year old around.

Or I would be if it wasn't for that pretty boy. How can a boy like that be prettier than me. I can't accept that. I will surpass him.

Several months have passed.

I have battled against my siblings and the pretty boy. HAH! He barely wins or loses against me. Now I really am the best.

We are training in the Salty Lake Forest right now. We easily kill all those weak monsters, and this is the middle ring. I bet the BOSS isn't even that great.

So the next morning, I sneak off. Rudy catches me, but I manage to shoo him off.

Ok, let's kill him.

...huh? Why is it so hard? The four of us could beat level 13 monsters easily. Oh yeah, I'm alone. No matter, it's just a little harder. I can take it. Huh, how did more appear, and now I'm surrounded.

Then three guards come out. They start to defeat all of the mean crocs. I started to have hope.

...and then the BOSS came.

...several minutes passed. Rudy came somehow, but the five of us won't make it. We can't defeat the BOSS.

Suddenly, hundreds of arrows came from the edge of the core area. It's the pretty boy!

Then I noticed that all of the monsters surrounding us were defeated. I wanted to go thank him, but the BOSS started to chase after him.

One of the guards took us away, while the other two went to help the pretty boy.

I hope he's ok.
