I was the first to wake up when the first rays of sun hit the valley. Without waking up Aphrodite, I went to the secret ambrosia stash to check how it was progressing and saw that there was a portion there already, so I scooped it up and ate it immediately. It was the most divine and filling breakfast anyone could ever hope for after a night as perfect as the last.
Despite the description of the hexagonal prismatic ambrosia cell tower saying that it generated one portion a day, I figured it must mean every calendar day instead of every twenty-four hours since the portion was available at dawn. This would be a lot more convenient than I’d thought since we wouldn’t need to wait on top of it to scoop it and reset the timer, but rather just remember to make the round at least once per day.
I closed the hiding place back up and made a mental note to bring my companions here to see it and let them know that they should take the ambrosia as well before we started making stashes of it. I then headed as silently as possible toward the door of the house so as not to wake them up, taking my daily work clothes out of my inventory and getting dressed before stepping outside.
The grass of the valley glowed a vibrant pink under the still weak sun, and it was almost completely covered as far as my eyes could see by sleeping men and women of all races. Humans, elves, dwarves, catfolk, and more were snoring a morning symphony across the whole settlement. Most of them were still holding a mug in their hands and, more often than not, they were sleeping in the arms of another. All in all, it looked like it had been one damn fine celebration to kick-start the majestic future of the clan of Zeus and Mount Olympus.
Over the next few hours and after everyone had woken up, the people who wished to move into the guildhall on top of the mountain were added to our ranks. We had so many new applicants that we reached capacity pretty soon and had to make a list of people who would be able to move in once our housing projects had been built or upgraded to the max, since I didn’t want people moving to the valley without homes to go to.
Still, it only took around thirty minutes before those spots were also filled and a second waiting list was formed for people who would be able to move into our clan hall once it had leveled up again and the number of housing projects could be upgraded and more of them built. In fact, the flow of people was so large that Aphrodite thought that people may be coming back for a second or even third time, putting different names on the list in order to sell the spots down in Dion.
After the mortals who were responsible for this procedure started scanning the names of the applicants, it was revealed that nobody had come for a second time. The large numbers were down to new people, who were already moving to Dion, adopting me as their one true god and then using the portal to come up here and petition for residency.

This was, of course, more than flattering for me and great for our guildhall but there was no way we would ever be able to finish if people kept coming to add their names on the list. And making men and women wait in line for hours to put down their names was only going to piss people off. Thus, Aphrodite commanded that the portal be shut down temporarily while everyone who had managed to cross through it already got documented. Once this was taken care of, the portal reopened again, but the massive crowd that flooded the clan hall was disappointed to hear that even the waiting lists had now closed.
Seeing the thousands of people now roaming around the valley at the top of Mount Olympus made me think that it was high time we had some workers to control who entered through the portal, as well as controlling the amount of people visiting. Artemis was quick to take on this task, putting a few of our most powerful warriors on each side of the portal and ordering them to document everyone coming in and out, not allowing more than fifty percent of the number of permanent citizens to enter as guests. Then we just had to make sure that those already up here who couldn’t move in for now actually left.
I would have thought that getting people to go down to Dion would have been difficult but once our citizens resumed their construction projects and the carving of the gigantic dragon carcass, many were quick to leave. Still, a few of them stayed but when asked to help with building and repairing the clan hall, most of them left. Those few that decided to stay and help would later be treated to a good meal and sent back home, since we had announced that those who weren’t a permanent resident of the settlement would no longer be allowed to sleep here.
Another item on the housekeeping list, which I decided to act upon personally, was the fact that Aphrodite, Artemis, and I were now living in a small mansion without anyone to take care of the daily household chores. For this reason, I put out a call for the best household helpers among the people gathered, recruited them, and had them move into our place. After all, we had more than enough rooms, even after turning some of them into libraries, workplaces, or training grounds. This way, we wouldn’t need to worry about cleaning the place, stocking it with provisions, and whatever else the running of a household required.
So the hours went by and the clan hall became stronger by the minute. The MP pool the guild core was sitting on was still in the billions and I couldn’t wait to see what marvels I’d be able to build and command once we reached even higher levels. Now that I wasn’t pressed for time and buying everything on MP, I could take my sweet time and grow the guildhall in a way that would be more efficient in the long term. And being a god was all about the long game.
By noon, all of the dragon’s organs had been harvested while the majority of its meat was neatly packaged and stored in extra-dimensional preservation crates in our storage building. But not before I was able to look at some of the most important harvested goods.
