Steven grinds his teeth back and forth as he realizes that he is at a slight disadvantage here. Steven might have been an excellent fighter before but that was in a past world so he doesn't know the strength of people in this current world.

"Guess now is a better time than ever huh?" Steven says before beginning his attack.

Ducking low with his shield protecting him from the ranged fire, Steven sprints towards the man in golden armor at a break neck speed.

With his sword reared back, Steven stabs forward towards the man's chest but to Steven's surprise it misses. The man in golden armor spun around Steven's attack and has his sword raised in the air while being right in Steven's blind spot.

TINK!

Good thing Steven has a shield though because he is able to react quickly and block the slash coming for his nape. In return to the attack, Steven turns with his left side to where the man in gold armor is and outstretches his shield in a fashion that would be called a shield bash.

Having a speed that isn't normal for the average human, the man in gold is caught off guard and recieves a powerful bash directly to his helmet that causes a sickening crack to be heard.

The man stumbles back a few steps and Steven instantly turns his attention back to the hunter with the Heavy Bow Gun, who was reloading during all of this. Steven quickly pulls out a few balls of leaves with a nice present inside and aims his slingshot.

Aiming directly in front of the man who has finally finished loading in a new clip of ammo, Steven squeezes the trigger to his sling and a puff of white spores explodes infront of the hunter.

The puff of spores seems harmless at first but soon the hunter's vision becomes blurrier and blurrier. The cloud of Sporepuff is used to blind anyone inside of it and prevent anyone from seeing in, but Steven already had taken a mental note of where the hunter was.

Quickly closing the distance between the hunter and himself, Steven readies his blade into the air and slashes downward and upward at the same time, hitting the same spot with the second slashes. A warm liqiud splashes his person as Steven can tell he cleanly cut through the mans flesh even though his blade is blunt.

"Ahhhhhhhh!" the hunter screams as he falls backwards and lands on the ground with a large gash spouting out blood in his chest. It is not fatal for now but will be if not treated soon.

Steven doesn't have time to think about what he has done as footsteps quickly approach him but unfortunately he is still in the cloud of Sporepuff and cannot see anything that is not 2 feet away from his face. Steven has something over every other human on the planet though, extremely heightened sense that is equilavent to a high rank monster.

A golden blade brushes past Steven's face and manages to slightly scratch Steven's cheek. In retaliation, Steven dashes forward and does a horizontal slash at nothing but his sword ends up catching something extremely hard and sturdy.

CHINK~!

Steven's blade rebounds and a shockwave is sent up his arm. Luckily, Steven manages to keep ahold of his sword even though the force of his attack was unexpectedly sent back at him.

*Tch*

Steven clicks his tongue and does a handspring backwards and as he lands a blade pierces the ground where he was standing. Steven can see the sword before it hits him but the sword is so long that he can't see its owner through the Sporepuff.

Lifting his shield to his left side, Steven manages to block an attack but another attack comes from his right afterwards, giving no room for Steven to think. Steven raises his sword and meets the blade with his own.

'These attack movements, it is like he flows like water! No matter how much I to stop it or diverge the path of his sword it still continues to flow and adjust to my movements. Hehe, what an interesting fellow and weapon.'

Steven is sick of being on the defensive and has had enough time to grasp his opponents battle prowess. No it is time to think of a strategy to counter this man's attack pattern, but that might be as hard as trying to move a lake with just a single cup.

Good thing Steven's cup is the size of his potential, making it the size of an ocean.

The reason for Steven's sword bouncing of the opponents armor before wasn't due to a lack of power or even the dullness of the blade, that just meant it is overflowing with power that means he can charge his Impact Phials.

Sticking his sword inside of his shield, Steven squeezes a contraption and the power that is filling his sword is directly inserted into the shield and stored. Knowing what this means, Steven knows that he has 5 shots to win this fight with the power of the second stage of his weapon.

That stage is axe mode.

With his sword being the hilt and the shield being the head of the monstrous axe, Steven prepares himself mentally as this is his first time trying this stage out.

Not wanting to waste his shots, Steven tries to dash out of the Sporepuff so he can actually see his opponent. As he reaches the end of the cloud though, the downward swipe of a sword stops his path and forces Steven to jump backwards.

The swipe causes a major gash to form in the ground and Steven can see the familiar gold sword and its owner as the slash was so strong it caused waves of air to push the Sporepuff away from the man covered in golden armor.

With a swipe of his sword, the mud that was on it flings off towards Steven and hits him directly in the chest. Readying his axe and actually having eyes on the enemy, Steven smiles under his hood and his eyes become full of anticapation with a hint of bloodlust.

'Though this was to protect my first contracted monster and to do someone a favor, I am actually enjoying myself!'
