Molly's Miracle Colonies
Rainbow Head Injury Center

Rainbow Head Injury Center

Pirad smiled. “I sent a ship with one of my clones to Titan. You showed me how two escaped in disposable ships, in the other future. He sent a slave to organize a revolt using similar methods. They will not know of this. I also established a lab there.”

But, I saw it working. “Pondaiash, Diplomat Of Elshar Zheiea and Cam Ta Of Ishah Elshar Colony, TS Inspector, were in two disposable ships, this morning. Maybe you should send diplomats to Leyla Steffenhagen and Marilla McPherson in Tullahoma, Tennessee.”

“I beg, let me go to Pon!” Asha, Diplomat Of Elshar Zheiea came running. I hugged him.

“His people won't be home for two hours. They went to do laundry. Let’s go get Olie!”

Ry’nao frowned. “Molly, Tan says there is a problem with seeing individuals in the facility.”

“Well, I healed people at school and nobody complained! Let’s go do the same thing at Rainbow Head Injury Center! The director’s still there, ‘cause it’s only 4 and she doesn’t get off work ‘til 5. She’s very happy you got her that van. I think she’ll talk to us.”

Asha smiled, big! Watched Ry’nao’s face. They brought Tan Links, the lawyer who helped me today.

He smiled. “I shall go with you. People saw the presentation at the UN where Pas healed children this morning. His clones have been very busy helping people who have terminals already. I think there are no barriers now, my liege.”

He bowed, but Ry’nao stopped him. “I do not expect anyone to bow if it gives them pain, Tan. Go, with my blessing!”

“Danke sehr!” His blue eyes watered.

All of us dressed differently. I had jeans, my cobalt blue long-sleeved T-shirt, and my purse. With my white healers’ robes over that.

Tan had his neat navy pin stripe suit. His blond hair was neatly combed, but it won’t stay that way for long, the way he worries it.

Asha wore his blue DS uniform with sash full of sparkling pins. I still expect him to talk like an Earthan because in our future, slavers trained him that way. So nice to see him in his diplomat persona. His clone is eager to take over for him, but he’ll have this last, nice mission.

We ported around the corner of the red brick building. Then walked in the front office.

Laura was talking to Miss Riqueti. “They got us a van! Why can’t we ask for more Hoyer lifts?”

Asha knocked on the open door. “We are happy to supply whatever your facility needs, but I brought a healer to demonstrate Zheien healing to you. This is Molly, an RN licensed in the state of Georgia.”

I walked up and shook her hand.

She frowned at Asha. “A kid can’t be an RN!”

I stuck my hand in my purse and came out with my wallet card. Handed it to her. She frowned until she read it. “You may have the license, but I don’t want to hire you.”

“Miss Riqueti, I am not asking for a job. What I would like to do—you know about SETI, right?”

She sighed. “Everyone has been talking about it, but I am too busy working to watch a news report.”

I duplicated a Unified terminal for her, and handed her the green cube. “What’s this? A fidget?”

“I am a terminal of the Unified, and I can help automate many tasks.”

She startled. “It talks?”

“It’s a computer you can think to, and it can make things. Server, repair Miss Riqueti’s chair, please.” I noticed that it sat crooked. People get bad backs from chairs with sagging springs.

Her brown eyes opened wide! “My chair got warm!”

“You must have a backache. Think of how you feel, and it’ll do something to help. But, it can help expedite paperwork, all sorts of administrative things.”

I looked at Laura. Put a cube in her hand. She got the memory-sharing stare. Oops. She was one of my best master healers in Rainbow!

“I can repair every piece of equipment on the premises, right now. Want me to do that?”

Miss Riqueti pulled at a brown curl. Nodded.

“Please repair all the equipment in this building now.”

“Equipment repaired.”

I smiled. “Now, I want to show you how I can heal people. See this?” I waved for my sleeves to be short and pulled my right one up. White skin covered my pink skin about to where the sleeve came. I poked it. “This is an aandat. My friends gave me one, for free, and they brought enough for every man, woman and child on Earth. I will never have a cold or COVID again. Want one?”

She stared at it. “How big is it?”

“It covers where a T-shirt and shorts does. You’ll never need a bathroom again, and if you need to open it, do this.” I dragged my fingernail down from my shoulder and it curled away from the cut. “To make it flat, do this.” I patted it down where I cut it and it was smooth again. “And, we Earthans get telepathy in most cases. That’s how I can heal things.”

“Telepathy? You can read my mind right now?”

She was thinking about how she would fry chicken tonight for supper. I fed that back to her, and I was in the kitchen chopping vegetables for it.

“Wow. Yes, I would like one!”

She startled and looked at her feet, under the desk. “Oh, my! It moves?”

“Just until it gets to where a T-shirt and shorts would be, and it never moves again that you can tell. Don’t worry. Your terminal can give one to anyone who wants one.”

“Anyone? People in my facility?”

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

“Yes! As long as they are able to ask for one.” Mr. Links sat beside Asha, in two chairs.

I didn’t sit down. “Would you like me to heal your back? I only need to touch your head and see how your body feels.”

Poor thing looked really overwhelmed! But, she nodded. “Okay. What do I have to do?”

“I’ll just touch from your forehead to the back of your head, then sing healing.”

It didn’t take long. She was in pretty good physical shape for someone with a desk job. Tired, and her back hurt. I sang a quick healing and she smiled.

“Oh, that feels better! Can I learn that?”

“Sure! It usually takes 2 or 3 days to get telepathy. I got it this morning, which is really fast! So I took lessons from Healer Pas. He has a bunch of healers ready to heal everyone in your facility that we can. May we start?”

“I think we must get permission from their families first.” She smiled. “I will—oh, it can call them? And, it knows what I wanted to say?” She giggled.

Laura looked up. I touched her mind and she smiled. Go get Oleana. If she can ask for an aandat, we can give her one.

I want mine now!

Hers plopped onto her white nurse’s shoes. She stifled a scream.

Miss Riqueti laughed. “Oh, Laura, you look like I felt! Now I don’t feel it, just as Molly said!”

“Hurry up! I can’t walk with you on my feet!” Laura talked to the white mass.

I laughed. “Try walking! It should part.”

She moved a foot and it did. By now it was halfway up. “It’s not as heavy as—but I might scare folks. I’ll wait a bit. But—wow! I’m doing my vitals and charting! Even with the ladies in the TV room! And, I have holos of myself doing it so I can talk with ‘em. This is great! I can give the meds, and—Mrs. Smith can’t keep it under her tongue now! My terminal ported ‘em into her stomach. Oh, that’s funny!”

Mr. Links frowned at her. “You should not discuss your patients here!”

Laura turned very red in the face. “You’re right. I’m sorry.”

He smiled, and she looked less guilty.

Laura looked down. “I guess I’m ready to go see my patients now. Can Molly come with me?”

“Not unless a relative gives permission. I’m sorry. But, you may give terminals to people.”

She smiled. “Okay, Server, give everyone in this facility a terminal! Show them a holo of me showing them how to use it.”

I heard echoes of Laura’s voice, telepathically.

I also felt Asha’s mind reaching for Oleana’s. And, she walked up here. Her terminal steadied her. No walker.

“Oh, hi, Oleana! You found your way up here!” Laura hugged her.

Then, she saw Asha. Stared at him with her blue eyes wide. He got pale. They got married in the other future. She was a teacher at a middle school near her and fell off a ladder—boys scared her? They got suspended.

Mr. Links explained a lot of the legal stuff Miss Riqueti’s terminal could help her with, so she missed it.

Laura looked worried. “Asha, are you okay?” All the yellow in his skin is white now.

“I am well, Laura. May I call you so?”

“I don’t mind. When I have my break, can I call Jo?”

“Eae! He will be very happy!” She married him. Ryonne~’s brother has heart problems. Pirad’s helping him, though.

Laura pulled Oleana into the hall and sat her on the sofa visitors used. Asha moved with ‘em.

I sat on Asha’s other side in case he needed healing. Rubbed the back of his head. Awful mind pain. Angel was singing to someone, so I listened and let Asha listen while we waited for Oleana to finish seeing memories. His mind pain vanished! Pas discovered her new talent—without telepathy—that when she sings, anyone Zheien with headaches feel better. So she’s technically a healer and wears white robes. Oh, Pas is teaching one of my clones and Angel’s helping.

Oleana startled. “Asha!” She went to hug him but Laura stopped her.

“Not yet! Molly wants to give you an aandat—”

“Yes!”

She released hers and it crept up. Then I saw her points and sang healing.

“Oh, that’s better! I don’t want to stay here another night! Asha, please, take me with you!”

“I will, Olie! Laura, may I take her to our embassy?”

“Let me see—oh, my, you’re lots better! I’ll put in a request to your doctors. I ordered lots of tests to send them results. Oh!”

Laura’s phone buzzed. “Hi, this is Nurse Laura. Oh, hi, Dr. Matheson. Yes, she’s right here. Oleana, Honey, this is Dr. Matheson—”

“I want to leave! My boyfriend’s here and he says I can live with him! Yes, I’m an adult and I am able to make my own choices about where to live. I want to leave now. There’s a lawyer here—”

Mr. Links ran to her. “I am Tan Links, a lawyer, and you have the right to choose to leave. They cannot force you to stay.”

“Good, so I am exercising my legal right to leave. Thanks, Doc!”

Olie gave the phone to Laura. “Yes, I will put her statement on her chart. Thanks, Dr. Matheson. Bye.”

“That’s it! You’re all signed out.”

“My house! Medicaid took it? But, my fish and my octopus—” She sobbed.

Asha put an arm around her and they went out the front doors where a purple limo waited. “O, I am sorry. We bought many fish and octopuses today, so you may have your house, and as many pets as you wish to put in it.”

Laura brought me people, and other healers waited up front. Holos of her brought others for other healers. With this mega-telepathy, I could heal people when other healers couldn’t. I taught some of ‘em something they didn’t know, but for most, even Pas, I had to do it.

We ran out of people who could give permission. By then, a lot of relatives had come, the ones who were local, and they saw us healing people. Most of ‘em were eager for their relative to be next!

So, several of us went with the relative to the person’s room. All the young people had a good bit of improvement, enough to live at home again.

Then Bets’ aunt came in. She was skeptical of our healing, but finally saw someone she knew get healing and agreed for me to heal Bets. Aubus stood by, waiting.

“What are you here for?” She stared at his blue sash, with lots of pins.

“I am Aubus, Diplomat Of Veheirea Gtu Pei. I wish to give you, and Miss Ball, a Unified terminal. Have you heard about SETI and the treaty in the United Nations?”

“I don’t believe in all that alien gibberish! But, I did see a miracle, and I want my niece to get healed. Maybe she’ll be a bit more grateful that I’m giving her a place to live. You know she sneaked out to go to that Christmas party at her school and look what happened! She got raped and beaten up! If she minded me, she wouldn't be here!” She pulled at her dark curls.

Laura brought Bets and helped her sit on the sofa.

“I don’t want to talk to her!” Bets shook all over.

But, Auntie saw a holo of her. Several underage girls had to marry Zheien today, and they were recloned, and in every case, one of the clones volunteered to live on Earth as an operative. Maybe Bets’ clone might do this for her.

I hummed and her shaking stopped. “You won’t have to if you don’t want to! Your terminal will talk to her for you. Go with Aubus now. Your stuff’s in your terminal, from here and your room in her house, and anything she got rid of.”

“Even things she threw out—oh!” Bets is an emancipated minor, so Tan assured me, legally, she can leave. That happened before she decided to live with her aunt. Her holo will stay or maybe go home tonight.

Aubus took her out to a waiting purple limo. Are all the embassy limos purple? That thought amused me. Must be Thordes driving—yep. To Earthans, they looked Black, but I could see the purple skin.

By then, we’d healed all the ones whose relatives came. Laura had her break for an hour, for supper.
