We went to Pirad. I dreaded this part. It hurts like a migraine, but worse, and Ben will hurt more than an Earthan would.
My hubby just laid on the table and smiled at me. “O, I am happy to remember every moment with my bae!” His poor family lost 3 of them on diplomatic missions, all on Esteerr. Neasem's there now. A lot of things happened this morning! Esteerrians, Zbbat and Aryllans signed a peace treaty? The 3 major slaver groups!
Greg's green eyes, bluish-green, filled as he held his hand out. It was pink like my favorite color of rose, and smelled like it. “Breathe this, Ben. It'll help.”
“Eae yeo, Greg!”
Fa held Ben's hand. He was still pale. “Molly, are you well?”
But our minds were connected. Fa had already been recloned, and had the telepathy of a Zbbat, too! I didn't let him see what I just found out, somehow.
Pirad put his hand on my head. “You can help him share faster. I apologize that my hands are so cold—”
“And I apologize that my hand is almost warm enough to make you shiver, too!”
His yellow eyes snapped open wide. All three sets of orange pupils spread out in the green irises! “You can see this?”
“Pirad, I see a lot more than that. How do I stop? I'm not supposed to know all this stuff!” This morning--Ray and Suma are Councillors, and I saw a lot of that. And bad people are watching!
Ben didn't know how, and he'd had all these advanced courses he took with Eap to learn fine telepathic control. I had his skills. They weren't enough!
I cannot help with what I cannot see. Molly, you have Gifts even I do not know. Perhaps the Council above ours sees that slavers have tech from higher levels and offers help, through Adia, and through you. Merely concentrate on other things.
I nodded. All five of my first clones came to me. We're identical sextuplets, now! But he made clones of me for all the Rainbow satellites, 25 of ‘em!
“I'm Lia. You can tell me how to run things in Rainbow MarKu. I'll help you, Sis! I have all of your skills.”
“Wow, thanks, Lia! Will ya find Harmony before—”
“I'll grab a diplomat and go find her today. I have a list. Oh. Ishmarel’s on his way to be recloned. We have to wait until his clone can do that. I'll go talk to Alice! But there’s plenty of others!” She picked all the ones I would've picked! Ran off. A diplomat was already in my school today and brought Juju and her sister, who led a DS Team, here. I saw ‘em across the ship.
Another one sighed. “I'll go to school for you. Actually, with our new skills, this might be fun! I'll pick people at school who might wanna escape like we do.” We swapped some ideas.
Mark and Toni took her hand. “We’re Elshar and we’re going to stay in the house. Want to live with us? Tan got approval!” Oh, a couple of their clones!
The other three didn't want to be our ages. “Can I start over? You wanted a younger sister. Toni wants more kids. One of Angel's clones wants to be younger, too. We can be best buds like you an' Angel.”
Angel's clone was holding her hand. I kissed their foreheads. “You don't have to have permission. Just ask Pirad.”
But Angel's clone shook her head. “Let's check with my mom first.”
“Okay!” They ran to Toni. I laughed. The other two went with 'em. She was very glad to have them! All four volunteered to have genetics of the four babies Toni lost. Mark was very excited, but when the girls went with Pirad, Toni got teary. They went into their bedroom with another of my new sisters. They're going to MarKu, so their new kids'll be safe.
Then, I heard Jen’s upset! Ran out there. I got to know her well, ‘cause her husband’s Ye~’s favorite poet! Oh, he’s still sharing memories and can’t help her.
Pas ran over with me. I had to sing healing on him. “What’s wrong with—Jen? It’s all right. These memories are hard, aren’t they?” She was hugging Ryee! Wow, she’s diff now!
“We went to mines! I—”
I got in her mind. Listen, you can’t do this. There’s too many Yeff and not enough healers that know Yeff healing. Calm down. Think about something else. Ryee’s bringing Yeff. Look at ‘em. They’re happy. I can stay in your mind--
Please! I need help, and Doug’s not finished!

She went to a mine with Ryee, Derees and Vonn. This was before the Yeff all went to slavery! Her memories made me shake, but they made all the Yeff sick! Ryee just wanted to show her they’re okay, to comfort her, but they all saw their futures! Shocking! I never knew you went through all that! I’m sorry!
Not your fault, Molly. Suma’s here. She can help me. So glad! She was my Rainbow therapist and helped so many people!
I wrote a quick prog and tried to copy the prog we had in Rainbow to help people calm down. Suma helped me modify it, and her dad did, too, but Cornelia saw us and helped more. So glad to see Cornelia and Marc! They had great programming skills and used ‘em expertly to make these progs even better than they were in Rainbow!
He was a diplomat who got horribly injured in the other future, on Rhaech. Where Kenneph is now! One pair of their clones went to help him. Be~saech ran to us, Ye~’s best prog instructor.
And Jen saw Goes and even hugged him! “Jen. I remember you. Penny!”
She came walking out of their room. Wow, she’s young! Didn’t look like she felt good. But she smiled a trembly smile.
“Are you unwell, Love? You remember Jen, eae?”
“H-h-hi!” She doesn’t have telepathy yet. Why have I got it? They’re recloned, too.
Jen tried to calm down, but tears kept flowing. She’s got telepathy because she just got recloned. Suma tried to pull her away from our Zheien friends, who were looking pale. She remembers a lot of traumas that they had, too.
“Jen is much upset! Perhaps she had more trials than even my Yeff!” Ryee put a hand on the back of my head.
Goes looked shocked, brown eyes huge. Took her off her feet. “Let us go to her chamber! This is too much for her, Ryee! Suma, Penny, come!” They ported to her bed. Outside, Yeff cried! I felt awful! I helped Pas calm people.
Huih was one of ‘em. He was cold!
“Pal, you need to rest—”
“I am violate! O, Molly, I am filthy—”
I hugged him. Brought Pirad. Showed him how he can dim memories, or remove them, without hurting him. He nodded, and I let Pirad take over. He hid himself from anyone who wasn’t familiar with him.
Huih calmed down. “Will I yet remember Leah?”
“You will. Look, she’ll be crying in this bus stop at 6:15 pm. Want to go meet her? Take a diplomat—”
“I wish to go alone, Molly. She is shy.”
I tagged M’Naga and Be~saech to monitor him, and Ao~. I worried, but he talked to Ao~, who’s been out trading among us Earthans today. Maybe he’s scared he’ll frighten her.
Pas took Angel’s arm. “Sing, Daughter, your voice calms.”
“What should I sing?”
“Emotion drives healing. Sing that which pleases you, and your emotion will please all who hear.”
“Okay!” My friend pulled her dark hair on her shoulders and got that look of concentration. Stood tall with her feet shoulder-width apart. She began with an amazing bass falsetto. Schiller's "Ode To Joy," from Beethoven's 9th Symphony.
O Freunde, nicht diese Töne!
Sondern laßt uns angenehmere anstimmen,
Und freudenvollere.
Freude! Freude!
Everyone on the ship watched her. Several Elshar traders got light eyes and wrapped up their trading! Takes a lot to make ‘em do that!
Freude, schöner Götterfunken
Tochter aus Elysium,
Wir betreten feuertrunken,
Himmlische, dein Heiligtum.
Deine Zauber binden wieder,
Was die Mode streng geteilt;
Alle Menschen werden Brüder,
Wo dein sanfter Flügel weilt.
As she sang, she spread her arms wide as she sang about the soft wings of the Daughter Of Elysium. I could imagine her as some sort of healing bird! I waved a long, white dress on her with lots of sparkly trim. And a breeze to make it billow on the floor.
I felt Zheien with mind pain relax. Every Zheien who heard her got relief! And, when she finished all three verses, they still had relief!
“You gotta sing to Jen! C’mon!”
She looked scared. “But Molly, I think she just wants to be alone.”
“Do you know there are a lot of Zheien diplomats on this ship with bad mind pain—uh headaches? It went away when you sang!”
Pas paled! “Let me see her! Surely she has injury, to heal so many!” He checked her, but didn’t find anything wrong. “O, such a talent you have, and a very rare one! I ne ever knew of one to heal mind pains so easily!”
“Really? Oh, Molly, let’s go! All my life I wished for one talent, just one, that was good! This is too easy, ‘cause I love to sing!” We ran in Jen’s room.
Angel was nervous about being in there with a king and a first prince, but she sang, and their smiles made her forget their rank. I left her in there with ‘em.
