Molly's Miracle Colonies
Friends’ Worlds

Friends’ Worlds

“Is it hard to build a Victorian?” Mark smiled and ran a hand through his blond hair. His blue eyes were lighter than Angel’s and on the gray side.

Ryee waved up a design screen. Showed Mark how to manipulate it with his mind. Soon, he had a pretty house on it. He borrowed ideas from homes on the Internet, but made changes that pleased his family. “When we arrive, there are many places you can put it.” He waved up holos of where the Earthan Colony will be, near Oshfah. “If here ne pleases, there are other climes —”

Toni clapped her hands. “Look at all the flowers! And that lavender sand! It’s beautiful! Will my flowers from here grow there?”

Oesha ported to us and showed many beautiful flowers that would grow there, some that could not survive in Georgia. Many of these were from Hawaii, Madagascar, and the Rain Forest. He waved many flowers and plants from Ireland into Maura’s account, including shamrocks! He’s Luc’s boss. When she gets through sharing memories, she’ll be delighted.

But, then, Goe came and showed them MarKu. When Angel knew I was gonna live there and saw the replica of Piedmont Park, they decided to go there! Any plants everyone wants will grow on any part of these worlds! Belle looked worried.

“Look, it only takes 4 mins to port from MarKu to Ye~. We can still get together a lot!”

She smiled again. “Thanks, Molly!”

Meg, Tom and Brian ported in with—Ryee? Oh, his clone! I jumped up and hugged them all! Anne, Austin—I never met him! Sam, Marlie and Jason! Anne married Cevit Ion and they revived the kids--

“Molly! Oh, Molly!” Meg hugged me and cried.

I hugged her back! “Oh, what’s wrong? Are you all right, Meg?”

“I—I’m your aunt! I’m not like your mother--”

“It’s okay. Take a deep breath. Wow! I’m happy to have one nice relative! Maybe that’s why I felt so close to you in Rainbow. I—kept busy, so I didn’t have to think! The Pedersens didn’t come with me in that future, but they’re coming to MarKu with me--”

“I want to go to MarKu!”

Tom put his huge hands on her shoulders. She’s short! “I liked MarKu. Brian, want to move there?”

“Yeah! Where’s Jog Sa? Is he there?”

Ryee shook his dark-curled head. “Jog Sa left MarKu with his parents to go to Ea~, which is perhaps as far as Earth to Mars, and slavers took their ship. This was three months past. All of MarKu mourns, for his and his parents’ skills are great, and many know them.” His sorrow rumbled on us.

He sighed, and it rumbled harder on me. “In our treaty, we stipulated that any slaves who come to Earth will have ships to ferry them to Rainbow Colonies. Ne will stay in Earthans’ homes. Too many died because of Elshar slavers, who infiltrated the agencies. Elshars and Areonians may live on Earth safely, so there may be agencies for them.

“They’re coming! Jog Sa, Venn, Ches and Sees, and a lot of other people rescued on Earth!”

Everyone got happy!

“Basa is here. Fidd and Hil are on MarKu, safe with their families. Venn, Ches and Sees delivered aandats with Mayb~ and are lost.”

I looked up and Basa hugged Meg. “Mom! O, I am happy to have an Earthan Mom. Fa is here with me, but my mea died in my sa Kae’s birth. If you wish a Zheien son, I am available.” He smiled.

Brian giggled. “All right!” He started to do a high-five, then jerked his hand back. “Oops, I’d better not do that.” Basa took his hand. Poor Brian got red in the face, so Basa hugged him.

“Hey, we can share Aunt Megan!” I hugged Meg again.

“Can you come live with us?” Meg sobbed.

Angel shook all over. “I thought she was going to come live with us.”

Ben put his arm around me. “Friends, Molly and I married, and Angel, you and your parents have rooms upon our embassy. We all live together here. You are all welcome to join us. Molly and I will live in MarKu when we marry.”

Megan looked at him. “How old are you?”

He paled. Neon green eyes and blond curls. She studied every detail. “Aunt Megan, I am 15, but work as diplomat beside my fa, Lineas. I am Binneas.” He bowed low.

“But she’s only 12. How can you marry someone so young?” I heard her thoughts. I can’t think about all the male members of our big family. Ben paled! What do normal families do?

“Aunt Megan—may I call you so?” He reached his arms out and she hugged him. Nodded. “I love Molly. She is now 18. I can nae explain how this happened. You must understand, Molly has aandat and has telepathy. She can easily lose, and with that, she loses worlds filled with all kinds of people. You know how many she saved in Rainbow.

“She can borrow capacity from my mind for healing. I will nae dishonor her.”

Megan nodded. “I’ll support you! Molly, your work is and will be important. You save a diplomat, you save whatever treaty he might be working on that might affect a lot of worlds! Gince saved Kenneph, and he saved fifty!”

“Thanks, Aunt Megan! You’re the best! Kenneph is on MarKu now! He did save 50 worlds with his treaty! His wife’s very happy!” Even though several worlds were destroyed by the bad guys. He still got hurt. So sad.

We had a group hug. “Can I call you Ben, Nevvy?”

He giggled. “Eae!”

Meg had black hair. Like Mom’s. Like Aunt Mabel’s. The same narrow nose. The same large eyes that even I had. And smile lines at the corners of her eyes.

“I know your mama didn’t say anything nice about me--”

“I don’t care!”

“I—Toni said you didn’t want to talk to me.”

When did I say that? Maybe I thought she’d be mean, like Aunt Mabel. But I only knew Aunt Mabel when she was sick. People get that way, sometimes. “I’m sorry, Aunt Meg. I was just—scared.” I waved up a self-cooling cloth and wiped her face. She smiled.

Tom hugged me, too. “Welcome to the family!”

Brian’s brown eyes got huge! “We’re first cousins! That’s lit!”

I laughed. “Yeah!” Even he hugged me! We were friends in school, but now, we’re family! Love it!

Mom’s age, maybe a bit older. Once I saw a picture of three little girls and a boy. Was that Meg in those?

Waved up a plan of MarKu Earthan Colony. “See this? Goe promised us a replica of the entire Beltline! With all the parks! And a skating rink!”

“Really?” Several teens gathered around.

“Oh, hi, Liz! I know you and Doe’ll probably live in the palace, but I bet a lot of people want to live on the Beltline, but it’s too expensive. Not on MarKu! Houses are included, food--”

“Yeah, he promis’ us soul food!” A Black fella jumped around. Meg laughed.

“Oh, yeah, Lamont! You and Kawar and Missy’ll have everything you need, including the latest Black fashion, y’all! Clothing formers, ethnic wear, costumes like for Halloween, all that’s included, too.”

“Can we have a Black city?”

“If you want one, I’m sure—Doe, what do you think?” Liz looked at her husband. So happy to see them healthy and together!

Doe smiled. “I spoke with my fa, who is Herda, King Of MarKu. He asked us to provide whatever our Earthans wish! We plan for many cities, and we have space.”

Lamont laughed. “Good pun! Space--” Almost all of us Earthans laughed. I think we embarrassed poor Doe, but he smiled. Like his brother Goe, he has dark curls and brown eyes. Thinner, though.

Meg raised a hand. “I am a City Archaeologist, but I also trained as a healer in that other future. What should I do? Does MarKu need someone to look for artifacts, or have you done that already?”
