"Genesis Sync"
As John said those words his eyes started to close and just before he entered sleep, he thought he heard Tia's voice say.
"Welcome John Michaels, we have been waiting for you."
When he opened his eyes again, he was in the familiar white room and Tia was in front of him with a small smile.
"Welcome John Michaels."
"Hello Tia, and please just call me John."
Tia tilted her head to the side before she said.
"Very well John."
"Welcome to Genesis, all you need to do is choose your character name and you will be sent to the central continents starter village."
"Are there any restrictions?" John asked.
"Not really, you just can't have a name already chosen for obvious reasons."
John thought for several minutes before he finally decided on.
"Vincarna" (Translations: new-made, renewed)
Tia showed a surprised look before smiling and saying.
"The elf word for renewed, very fitting."
"Very well Vincarna, welcome to Genesis."
As she finished speaking John's vision went dark before a moment later, he found himself standing on grass in a clearing in the middle of a forest, the clearing was empty except for a male elf that was asleep on the grass with a hat covering his face to stop the glare of the sun.
As John turned to look around his feet made a small noise as he stepped on the grass which seemed to alert the elf.
He sat up and the hat fell off his head before yawning and looking to see who just arrived.
"Huh?" He said in a surprised tone seeing John.
"A human?" he asked no one in particular before looking around to see if anyone else was present.
When he saw no one else he turned back to John and stared at him for a few minutes before saying.
"Hey human brat, I think you took a wrong turn at Stone-mist Castle, you're on the wrong continent."
"This is the starter village for the central continent, right?" John asked unsure.
"Starter village? Never heard of it, our village is called 'Yesta Village' and is right over there." The elf replied pointing behind himself with his thumb.
"The elvish word for beginning." John mumbled to himself, before saying to the elf.
"Then I am in the right location."
"Not possible, we have never had a human enter our village before."

"It's true, I have special permission to be here."
"Hmm, who gave you special permission? Special permission would mean you're special yourself and you don't look special to me." The elf said, eyeing John up and down.
"From Tia."
"Who? Never heard of no Tia before."
"Err." John said as he realized the NPC'S probably don't even know there not real people created by Tia.
"Apologies, I mean an elf friend named Tanelia directed me here." John made up quickly using Tanelia's name since it could be shortened to Tia.
"Hmm, don't know any Tanelia either, but you don't seem like a bad sort so whatever, go on your way with you." The elf said before laying back down and putting his hat over his head.
"Are you not supposed to guide me or something?" John asked.
"Not you no, I'm supposed to help those of the central continent, a random human walking around here is not my concern."
"Sorry but can you please help me out here?" John asked but the elf just ignored him now.
John kept trying for a few minutes but all he got was silence from the elf.
In the end he decided he should just head for the village since the elf had already pointed out which direction it was.
Along the way John recalled what the three elves had told him in the medical room while his access band was being updated.
Essentially it was just some common knowledge such as the command words that he lacked the knowledge of since he had never really researched Genesis since he figured he would never play it.
"Let's see I think it was."
"Status" John said after which a window appeared in-front of him with his character status.
[Name: Vincarna]
[Race: Human]
[Title: None]
[Class: None]
[Level: 0]
[Exp: 0/100]
[HP: 100/100]
[MP: 20/20]
[ATP: 5]
[END: 4]
[Stat Point Breakdown:]
[SPI: 5]
[WIS: 2]
[STR: 5]
[INT: 4]
[VIT: 4]
[Stat Point Allocation: 1 point to each stat on each level up]
[Skills: None]
John looked over his very basic and ordinary starter stats and remembered he was told that players got 1 point in SPI, WIS, STR, INT and VIT for each level up.
The calculations for Genesis where rather simple (because the author sucks at maths)
1 point in SPI gave 20 HP.
1 Point in WIS gave 10 MP
STR + weapon attack = ATP
INT + Spells attack = ATP
VIT + (DEF / 5) = END
ATP - Enemy END= Damage to Enemy HP
END - Enemy ATP = Damage to Player HP
There were some other factors in the game such as elemental resistances but since John did not have any of those yet he did not think too much about them.
"Gear"
[Current Equipped Gear]
[Chest: Common Shirt]
[Rank: Common (White)]
[DEF: 0]
[Legs: Common Trousers]
[Rank: Common (White)]
[DEF: 0]
[Feet: Common Shoes]
[Rank: Common (White)]
[DEF: 0]
"Well at least I am not naked."
"Inventory"
[Gold: 0]
[Bread x 5]
[Water x 5]
"At least I won't starve or die of thirst either." John mumbled.
By this time, he had reached the edge of the clearing and saw a small path leading further into the forest, he surmised it would be better to follow the path than walk aimlessly through the forest, especially when he did not have a weapon.
As he walked through the forest, he heard the sounds of the branches and twigs swaying in the wind and the sound of animals running around while birds sang up above.
Rays of light filtered through the canopy above now and again.
As he passed by a stream, he looked to the side to see a deer drinking water before he carried on down the path.
