Chapter 111 Mess Hall

Chapter 111 Mess Hall

“Nice time for some loot.” Sarah said with a smile before walking over and touching Sogs corpse.

“Oh yeah, all the good stuff, my lucky hands that all men love.” Sarah cheered as Vulxis and John just rolled their eyes.

“So I suggest the The Ring of One goes to Vulxis since that is the only thing useful to her then me and John roll on the other two items.” Sarah suggested with a smirk.

John rolled his eyes before saying.

“Yeah because we know what will happen, come on let's get it over with.” To which the girls giggled before they all rolled.

Both girls cracked up in laughter as John just slumped his shoulders in defeat before looking around the room for the records they needed for their quest.

Once the girls had stopped laughing and joking about how bad John’s luck was on loot rolls they started to help out.

It did not take them long to find a collection of five books all left neatly together on a shelf that read ‘Sales Receipts’.

As Sarah picked them up all five vanished and the three of them received the same notification.

[Quest Update]

[Recover White Tiger Bandits Records: 5/5]

“How are we supposed to show all five to whoever we hand this quest into? I mean we can’t all have five unless we go together.” John asked, causing the two girls to giggle again.

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.

“Most dungeon quests don’t work like that.” Sarah said before explaining.

“When you first entered the dungeon you got the quests automatically, the same applies for when you finish the dungeon, all the quests end when the dungeon does and you will either pass or fail it and get the corresponding reward or punishment.”

“Only certain quests like the white tiger require it to be handed in like how you have to return the tiger to the Emerald Enclave, once you do that and hand the quest in to complete it then we will also get the quest complete notification.”

“Ah ok I understand.” John said with a nod before all three left the room and crossed the hallway to the other door, they noticed that this one had been left open and as they entered the room they found nothing but wooden crates and cages dumped around the edges.

On the other side of this room however there was another door and they could already hear the sound of talking and laughter coming from it.

“Venison again at last it’s been too long.” One voice said.

“Agreed, it’s about time you gave us this again Kan, how long have we been asking.” Another voice said.

“Shut it you lot, you know I can only serve you what gets brought to me, so if you want venison more often the catch some fucking deer.” A third voice presumably belonging to this Kan replied.

Sarah pushed the door ajar slightly allowing them to see inside the next room which turned out to be some sort of basic dining hall.

There were tables and chairs set up across the room and what looked like a basic kitchen against the back wall.

There were seven bandits in the dining hall sitting at tables while eating, drinking and talking while an eighth presumably Kan was working in the kitchen area.

“Eight normal enemies and one veteran, however it’s just a normal veteran and not a boss this time.” Sarah said.

“Same plan as before with AoE.” Sarah stated as the other two nodded in agreement.

Vulxis slowly pushed the door open slightly wider so they could fire their spells into the room and get the drop on the bandits that were chatting completely unaware of the three intruders in the doorway.

"Chain Lightning"

Unfortunately since Alas the chef was all the way at the back in the kitchen there attacks never reached and damaged him.

“OI BASTARDS YOU DARE TO START A FIGHT IN MY MESS HALL, BOYS KILL THESE FOOLS.” Kan yelled as he pulled out his bow before coming out from the kitchen area and firing arrows at Vulxis since she was the furthest into the room at the time.

No one had attacked Kan yet so they had not generated any agro and he just attacked the closest.

“Wind Blade,“ Samblar said.

“Rapid Fire” Wegub said as he shot off five arrows at Sarah.

“Earth Shot.” Alas stated.

“Rapid Fire” Ralad copied Wegub as he also fired off five arrows at Sarah.

“Rapid Fire” Kan also fired off a volley of arrows but hit for far more damage because of his higher stats.

“HOLY CRAP” Sarah said with slight panic in her voice before saying.

“My HP just dropped from one thousand one hundred and twenty down to three hundred and seventy five.”

After Which she downed a health potion.

“Mine just dropped by three hundred and fifty from that boss, that rapid fire skill hurts when it's from higher level mobs or multiple of them, it’s a good job it has a cooldown, though for some stupid reason it’s only five seconds.” Vulxis stated as they charged their attacks again.

Since rapid fire had a five second cool down and the normal attacks of the two sorcerers did not do much damage, all the ranged bandits started to charge their next attacks while the melee classes tried to slowly close the gap.

“You know your frost attacks are kind of broken with how they hinder your targets.” John stated.

“That’s why I always liked frost.” Sarah said before explaining.

“While at rank one the damage is the same for all basic spell attacks like my frost bolt or your lightning bolt, as the rank goes up the damage starts to differ, those with additional effects like chilling the enemy or placing a dot on them do less raw damage than a straight attacking spell.”

“Also as classes rank up they gain access to new skills or spells, the melee classes will get more intercept skills or ways to resist or remove my slow effect while I will get new spells that have the chill effect so I will have to juggle my attacks more to make sure melee classes stay chilled.”
