"You're not like other men." Melissa said.
"How so?" John asked.
"You don't act like the usual powerful men I meet." Melissa said.
"Maybe because I'm not powerful and never have been, it's my girlfriends that are powerful." John replied.
Melissa giggled before saying, "I see what Adria means, you really don't understand the unique position you are in."
John just shrugged at his response, making Melissa shake her head before continuing, "you also don't speak to me like other men?"
"What do you mean?" John asked as they continued their search.
"Well the men I meet normally fall into one of two categories." Melissa explained. "First is my fan category who get all happy and hyper when meeting me or are two shy and nervous to string two words together."
"The second is the noble category who either think they're above me or only they deserve to be with me."
"You talk to me like a normal person, like a friend."
"Well you are my girlfriend's best friend, so by extension your mine unless of course you have had a hidden agenda on getting close to her." John replied.
"Only the one you know about." Melissa said immediately.
John nodded before continuing, "I'm afraid I wouldn't class myself as a fan since I was always too busy in my life before I met Sarah, I of course knew who you were and occasionally heard your music but that's about it."
"You've never seen one of my movies?" Melissa asked curiously.
"I haven't watched any movies since I became an orphan, which was before your acting career took off." John replied, surprising Melissa.
"Really?" Melissa asked in surprise before adding, "We need to fix that."
"You make it sound like we're going to be seeing more of each other in the future." John replied with a smirk making Melissa blush slightly.
"As for the second aspect, I'm not a noble." John finished with a shrug.
"Good thing too if you ask me." Melissa replied, "Though that will change when you marry Adria and the other girls in the future."
"I suppose it will." John commented in agreement.
"So how did you know I was a half-elf?" Melissa asked curiously.
"Secret." John replied simply.
"Aww come on." Melissa replied.
"Perhaps I will tell you after you prove trustworthy." John replied before he stopped dead and looked in a certain direction.
Melissa was about to respond when she saw how John just stopped and stared in one direction. Following his line of sight she saw through a gap in the forest trees a large majestic looking stag with large silver antlers on top of its head.
"It would appear we found what we were searching for." John said in a low voice.
"We found it so quickly," Melissa said in surprise. "I have spent weeks looking, sure I have also been busy with work but still."
"Are you complaining?" John asked with a smirk.
"Of course not just surprised." Melissa replied before asking, "So what's the plan?"

"You're a higher level player, isn't it normal for me to ask you that?" John asked back.
"I guess, but you're the party leader." Melissa replied with her own smirk.
"Let's inspect it first." John suggested before thinking.
(Divine Eyes.)
[Name: Silver Deer (Veteran)]
[Monster Type: Balanced]
[Gender: Male (Stag)]
[Level: 100]
"Another level one hundred, though this time it's a veteran." John said.
"You are able to read its stats?" Melissa asked suspiciously.
"I can." John confirmed.
"I guess that explains how you knew I was a half-elf." Melissa replied. "Your inspect skill is obviously of a higher level than normal so it allows you to see the stats of much higher levels and also hidden information."
"Something like that." John replied dismissively.
"Still that priestess said that only someone at the god level would be able to see my true race." Melissa mumbled more to herself. "God level….. able to see levels far above normal…. God level…. Blessed by the Gods."
As Melissa said this she turned to look at John in shock and bewilderment before asking, "It's you? You're the one who was Blessed by the Gods and got a god skill causing the world announcement?"
"Figured it out did you?" John replied since there was obviously no point in trying to hide it.
"But how?" Melissa asked again in shock. "As far as I'm aware the few people who have received a god tier skill in the past are all top level players who had to do a ridiculous number of quests to earn the gods favor."
"Even then that's just speculation since no one is stupid enough to reveal how they managed to get a god tier skill."
"You just answered your own question," John replied. "Why would I be stupid enough to reveal how I received it?"
"And yet you know you doubt plan to tell Adria and you other lovers." Melissa replied.
"Most likely." John replied.
"So I would learn the truth if I joined the harem." Melissa asked.
John turned and looked at Melissa before saying, "If that is the reason you want to join the harem, I will never allow you to join so don't even consider it. However since Adria still considers you her friend I will give you one piece of advice."
"Even if you do join the harem and learn how I managed to get the god skill, it's unlikely you will ever be able to repeat it."
"Why not?" Melissa asked.
John turned back to look at the stag before saying, "That's all I will say, it's up to you if you believe me or not."
"Now how about we get what we came here for."
"Am I allowed to help you kill the silver deer"? Melissa asked.
"The only restrictions I have are that I have to do it in my white tiger form and that no magic can be used, so as long as you stick to physical attacks we should be fine." John replied.
"So what's the plan?" Melissa asked.
"I will sneak up behind it and initiate combat and draw its aggro, after the fight starts you can start attacking." John explained.
"You sure you're going to be ok?" Melissa asked with concern, "I know you basically beat that doe on your own but the stag as a veteran will have double the stat points of the normal doe."
"Only one way to find out, I will just have to try my best not to get hit."" John replied before asking, "Any restrictions on your class mission, or do you just need the antlers?"
"The mission description just says the antlers, though when I spoke to my trainer I got the impression that the better the condition of the antlers and the more grand they are the better result I will get." Melissa replied.
"What do you mean by more grand?" John asked.
"From the research I did into stags, it seems that the higher the monster's tier the larger and more magnificent the antlers are." Melissa explained.
"Hmm I see." John replied. "Well let's take this veteran on first and if the fight is not too hard we can consider searching for an elite."
"You don't need an elite for your quest do you?" Melissa asked
"No, there was no stipulation on the rank of deer I killed." John replied.
"Then why help me even further?" Melissa asked.
"Because Adria still trusts you and I trust Adria." John replied simply before asking, "You ready?"
Melissa nodded as she looked at John for a few moments as if she was considering something before she retrieved her bow and a quiver of arrows as she said, "Ready when you are."
"Ok wait till I make the first move, stealth." John said before turning invisible.
Since Adria was now in the same party as John she could see a blurry silhouette of him as he stealthily approached the stag.
(He moves just like actual tigers I have fought in the past.)
John carefully snuck up on the stag that was standing in a small area of the forest that was free from trees and eating grass while occasionally looking around as if searching for threats as its ears twitched every now and then.
As John stealthy got closer the stag that had been eating some grass suddenly looked up as its head turned to look behind it in John's direction as its ears twitched again.
John froze in his current position and did not dare to move as he had clearly been noticed somehow.
However since the stag was twitching its ears and roaming its eyes around it clearly did not know exactly where John was.
(Shit, I guess my level is too low to stealth any closer, it must have heightened sensors because of its veteran rank.)
(I guess I will have to go with plan B.)
John stayed where he was and didn't move as the stag continued to look around and only after a few minutes of not finding anything did the stag lower its head and return to eating.
As the stag lowered its guard John made his move.
