Chapter 177 Daratrine's Savagery

Fanya hissed again upon hearing her mothers words, however Bengal didn’t mind her daughter's response and only smiled.

“While I’m sure some people would find that appealing I still don’t think it will happen.” Adria replied.

“Regardless of if it does or does not happen, there is still the topic of a price.” Bengal said before asking.

“What would you ask for in return?”

Adria fell silent while she contemplated what to ask for.

“How are you feeling, Fanya?” John decided to ask while waiting for Sarah to make up her mind.

Fanya didn’t reply and just turned her head away from John as if ignoring him.

John tilted his head to the side in confusion.

Bengal chuckled before saying in her native language.

“I think my daughter feels a tad bit jealous that another female is getting all your attention, young Vincarna.”

“Mum.” Fanya said embarrassedly.

“Haha, there is nothing to be embarrassed about if you want John to show you some affection.”

Bengal replied before asking.

“How about it Vincarna, won't you give my daughter some affection also?”

“Errr, how?” John asked unsure.

Bengal rolled her eyes before saying.

“Just give her a pet, human’s like to pet furry creatures right?.”

“Is that alright? I thought tigers and other large cats didn't like humans touching them.” John asked.

“You are correct about that, unless of course it’s a friend, or in your case a bonded partner, go ahead.” Bengal replied.

“Umm if Fanya is ok with it then I can give it a shot.” John said, turning to see Fanya’s opinion.

“I don’t mind.” Fanya replied in a voice just louder than a whisper.

John nodded before he released Adria which got her attention before he approached Fanya and started to gently stroke her fur.

Fanya let out a low purr as she closed her eyes enjoying the feeling.

“Are you sure it’s ok to do that?” Adria asked in a worried tone.

John nodded before replying.

“Fanya said it was fine and she appears to be enjoying it.”

Adria nodded before she mumbled more to herself.

“Must be nice being able to communicate with animals.”

Bengal of course heard this and she turned to look at Adria before saying.

“Then why don’t we make that the cost?”

“What?” Adria asked, confused.

“The ability to speak to animals, just as Ursa Minor gave Vincarna the ability, I will give the ability to those whom Vincarna brings me to bless and I agree too.” Bengal offered.

“Are you sure that’s ok?” Adria asked.

“Of course, the ability to speak to animals might be hard to obtain normally for humanoids, however we world bosses can hand it out easterly if we so wish.” Bengal answered.

Adrai thought for a moment before she nodded and said.

“Very well I accept your proposal, for the cost of being able to communicate with animals, the orc can join us.”

“Very good.” Bengal said before two white lights shot out of her body and entered Adria's, causing her to smile.

“Thank you, lady Bengal.” Adria said while performing another curtsey.

“You're most welcome, though I ask that you try to get along with Eliphas.” Bengal replied.

“I will try.” Adria promised.

Bengal nodded in satisfaction before turning to look back at Fanya who had turned over and was now getting a belly rub .

“Ohhhh that feels nice Vincarna, a bit lower, yes there, ohhhh.” Fanya said happily.

“Wow, I can really understand her.” Adria said with amazement.

“So are you ready to go to the western continent Vincarna?” Bengal asked.

Not yet, I need to do something first.” John said as he gave Fanya one last tummy rub before moving away and pulling out the blue rank shoulders he had purchased.

If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

“What are you doing?” Adria asked as she, Bengal and Fanya looked on with interest.

“First I’m going to offer these shoulder pieces to Phanta so that it will be ready to upgrade when I hit level twenty-five.” John said before he opened his gear interface and selected Phanta.

As John finished speaking Lilastea started to float slightly in the air, the brown shaft started to lighten slightly while the blade gained a sort of sheen to it.

At the joint where the blade and hilt met a golden ring appeared around the joint.

The other end of the shaft grew a small pommel as another albeit smaller golden ring appeared around the connecting point of the shaft and this small pommel.

As the changes finished Lilastea floated back down to the ground before a notification window appeared before John.

“What happened?" asked Adria curiously.”

John then explained the new skills that Lilastea has just obtained.

“Seriously, you got a weapon that allows you to kill someone in a safe zone?” Adria asked in surprise.

“Why is it only that part that surprises you?” John asked.

“Death penalty increase is not really a new thing.” Adria began to explain.

“While I admit I have never heard of a skill grating it from a weapon, you can get a special type of poison created by alchemists that doubles the death penalty, though your skill goes above that for enemies who are the same rank or lower than you.”

“As for killing someone in a safe zone such as a city, that’s something I have never heard of a player being able to do.”

“The closest exception is for a ruler such as my mother ordering the royal guards to execute someone, only special ncps such as guards or very powerful ones can kill within a safe zone however it is very rare for it to happen.”

John nodded in understanding before equipping Lilastea.
