The three of them make their way back into the classroom, “So I’d like to kick off this discussion with a simple question, why do you want to be a hunter?” Henry says looking into Roses's eyes forcing him to make eye contact, “for three reasons the first is because of the freedom being a hunter provides”.

“The second is exploration, and getting to see sights I never could’ve and experience things that only a hunter can, and the third reason is to find a philosophy through life and death until I find as many reasons to live as possible”, Rose says with a clear determination written all over his face.

“Are you ready to die in order to achieve your goals, or will you give up when it gets too hard?” Geo Seok-ji says with authority like no other, “I am well aware of the fact that hunters must be ready at any moment so I’ve already accepted my fate and that I’d likely die young so yes I am ready” Rose says confidently.

“Rose in all my 60 years teaching here you are the 7th to give that type of response, money, fame, and honor all mean nothing unless its to achieve a goal but even then it's all a means to an end to you”

“Do you know what happened to those 6 students, “ Henry says circling Rose, “no what happened to them?” Rose curiously asks, “they all died the moment they stepped out of here and became pro hunters, the reason being they didn’t value their lives their goals took first priority and their only priority”.

“So to ensure you don’t end up like them Geo Seok-ji will be your mentor and protector,” Henry says with a clearly devilish smile and serpents eyes, “But why are you doing this,” Rose says growing weary of Henry as he knew he wasn’t telling him something.

“Well to see what you turn into,” Henry says with his gin creeping even wider, “fine but under these 2 conditions, the first is to train Teseji and the second is to help me find and collect my 31 creations I made 6 years ago” Rose demanded, but suddenly he felt Geo Seok-ji’s cold glare shiver down his spine.

“I too have some conditions for this mentorship” Seok-ji interjects, “3 conditions, the first is that you help me recruit people into my clan the Geo can, the second is that you help me exercise a devil, and the third is that you help me kill the 8 elder gods,” Geo Seok-ji says.

“You do know all of those demands are nearly impossible right, first the Geo clan was destroyed 17 years ago, second in all of the history devils could not be removed and third you may help to kill gods, they are gods for a reason” Rose shouts with fury.

“Rose, do tell me are you confident in your ability to communicate with spirits and give them physical form,” Seok-ji asks, “how the hell do you have that information?” Rose asks staring daggers at Seok-ji.

“The guild has your skills in their database and since you are a student of mine I have access to such info” Henry calmly explains, “yeah but still we all know that devils simply cannot be compared to normal spirits, they are in a league of their own,” Rose says while pacing.

“But you have a lot of potential I’m sure that by the age of 17 which is 4 years from now you can remove the curse from within Seok-ji” Henry says with the devious smile creeping back in, “alright fine I will try to meet your conditions but no hard feelings if I can’t” Rose says putting his hand out.

Geo Seok-ji shakes his hand and nods “tomorrow we will begin training”, “oh and before I forget Hendrickson didn’t die because of you he died because he used up more aura than he had and died, so let that be a lesson not to use it all or you could have a fate worse than death” Henry says with an ecstatic tone.

‘Thats a very weird tone to have when talking about death and things even worse’ Rose thinks to himself surprised, “just exactly how old are you because you said something about teaching here for 60 years” Rose says finally getting the chance to ask, “well that's a rude question to ask” Henry pouts, “well I didn’t mean to be rude to you, I jus-”, “I’m 147, so I’ve got ‌a lot of experience,” Henry says interrupting Rose from finishing his sentence.

“Damn you’re older than like half of all the kingdoms on earth” Rose shouts in shouts in shock, “crap did I say that out loud “ Rose mutters to himself, “yup you sure did and you really aren’t wrong, but that was still rude,” Henry says big smile.

Rose notices something off as if something's missing, so he looks around him to see that Geo Seok-ji disappear without him noticing, “hey did you see Geo Seok-ji leave,” Rose says confused, “oh yes, but he prefers to be all secret like, his footsteps are as quiet as can be,” Henry says.

“He is an odd fellow, but anyways, you should watch your back as the Levi family are a powerful group with many connections, and they have direct contact with many mercenary guilds, and to add insult to injury the head of the Levi estate is none other than Dawn Power Levi who is one of the most powerful knights in the world,”

“And she is part of a duo with Cromwell Steel Pendleton who was alleged brother before you were disowned and together they are around Seok-ji’s power level,” Henry says with a gleeful smile waiting for Roses's actions.

“You seem to have read everything about me,” Rose says with a murderous glare, “in two years I’ll be strong enough to defeat them, so let's cut a deal,” Rose says hoping that Henry’s curiosity will get the better of him.

“I sure like the sound of that so what’s the deal,” Henry says with a bit of a chuckle, “you somehow buy me enough time to get strong enough to kill them,” Rose says adamantly with an unwavering will, “Two years seem like a bit too much after all I’m not at all powerful in the status side, so one year and we have a deal,” Henry says with a sinister and devious smile.

‘Is he crazy, in my current state I’m probably around a hundred times weaker than them and that estimation is heavily biased in my favor’ Rose thinks to himself with many thoughts racing through his head trying to think of a way to accomplish such an impossible task.

But before he even realized it he had agreed to Henry’s conditions, “great now put her there” Henry rushed to say as he puts his hand out forcibly shaking his hand swiftly, ”well you may skedaddle out of here now” Henry says hurriedly, “alright geez” Rose says walking out of the classroom.

Rose makes his way out of the school where it is far noisier as the school is next to the city square, ‘crap what the hell did I get myself into, it feels like I just made a deal with the devil’ Rose thinks to himself pacing faster and faster while biting his thumb, his green eyes filled with worry and doubt.

In order to clear his mind and get away from the noise, he activates his stigma and creates a small yet fast twister’ launching him above the school, his cloak fluttering in the wind as he lands on the school roof, yet no one in the bustling streets seemed to notice him.

“I wonder what Teseji’s doing right now,” Rose says to himself, suddenly he begins laughing hysterically, “Teseji is quite an odd nickname it literally means flattery she is definitely an odd one, her real name is Tengoku Sengoku Jingoku, meaning heaven earth and hell, she has very strange yet accurate names” Rose mumbles trying to keep himself entertained.

“Cromwell Steel Pendleton, my supposed brother, we will meet again and when we do I will savor my time by slowly killing you as retribution for what you did to me, and then I will kill your beloved mother and sister, and also your benevolent father, and then maybe your wife, your kids, heck even your friends, and I will enjoy every moment of it,” Rose says indulging in his twisted fantasies, laughing all the while.

Rose crouches and starts clawing the roof, teasing himself with the thought of killing the entire Pendleton family, grinning ear to ear, “yes I will kill them all” Rose mutters his eyes showing nothing but sinful bliss, indulging in all his dreams of the most extreme, his clawing becoming more and more savage, his green eyes glimmering at the thought, and his red hair standing on edge.

Not being able to find her Rose instead traces her aura to find her, ‘bingo there she is, she seems to be talking to 2 others, and they seem quite powerful, slightly more powerful than me’ Rose thinks to himself trying to spy, suddenly he senses one of the presence of the other person behind him.

Rose immediately stands up and turns around getting into his battle stance, Rose sees a girl who seems to be around 15 with short blonde hair glaring at Rose, “You’re pretty good you know not everyone can sense aura so well so far away, and keep their aura hidden at the same time” she says with a smile.

“But of course, you tried to spy on me and my friends so I just need to kill you,” she says slowly walking toward Rose, Rose prepares by activating his stigma but this time the green and red spiraling marking seemed more random and chaotic, and the spirals looked as if they were slowly crawling across his body.

The girl does the same and activates her stigma with bright golden spikes appearing on her face and arm.

“Seeing that you appeared here out of nowhere, I take it you teleported’ Rose says circling her, “bingo you guessed right,” she says calmly before lunging at him with fury in her eyes. Still, Rose held his position without budging an inch, the girl went in for a barrage of punches with them being much faster than Rose could comprehend.

Yet all of her attacks missed some landing narrowly off the mark, the girl instinctively jumps back confused and angry, “What the hell did you do” the girl says with confusion and bewilderment. Rose ignores her and continues his defensive stance.

The girl continues on the offensive trying to hit Rose with a mix of punches, kicks, and headbutts, and with each attempted hit Rose her attacks got faster and her attack patterns got more chaotic, yet not even one attack had hit him, and through all this Rose sands perfectly still making direct eye contact with her.

At this point, the girl is furious and agitated, “so are you willing to hear me out” Rose says calmly, sitting down on the ground, one of his legs curled up, “alright fine, explain yourself you despicable perv” the strange girl remarks, “well I’m Rose, Teseji’s childhood frie-” before Rose could finish his sentence he feels something hard against the back of his head.

Before Rose could even realizes it, he feels his face drag across the cement roof, leaving scratches and bruises all over his face, Rose quickly regains his bearings and jumps back up, he turns behind him and sees another girl that had appeared without him noticing.

She has vibrant purple hair done in pigtails, her modified uniform including a long skirt reaching down to her ankles, “it sure took you long enough, this brat did something to me” says the blonde student, “You really are dense, this poser is using spiritual ability and you’d need to be far stronger than you are now to even touch him without spiritual power” The purple-haired girl explains.

‘They must’ve planned this, but how, maybe it’s an ability, and why do they know about spiritual power’ Rose thinks to himself, “what's this talk about me being a poser” Rose asks trying to calm down the situation, the purple-haired girl puts her hands out and suddenly her body separates and she rapidly multiplying like a food born pathogen.

She continues to spread and multiply till hundreds of her piled up, but then all her parts fused back together into a single being, “why should an imposter like you be asking questions” she says as if she was speaking many times over at once, Rose could sense immense amounts of bloodlust oozing out of her, ‘what is this feeling I’m afraid, she actually wants me dead’ Rose thinks to himself, his eyes filled with fear and having the urge to run.

‘Kill them, kill or be killed, let me kill them’ Rose thinks to himself, but he tries to fight these thoughts, its as if an outside force is in his mind, ‘I feel powerless no matter how hard I try’, Rose gives up his resistance, “I don’t care what you think of me or what you say of me, it doesn’t matter to the dead” Rose says with a large cruel smile.

Rose leaps at the two girls and attempts to attack them, but the purple-haired girl retaliates and blocks his strike, and the blonde girl pouches Rose before he could land on the ground, he is pushed back, landing on the ground.

“Here my calls, spirits of darkness and blood, I crave the power to crush my enemies relentlessly, I offer my dagger as a vessel for your unholy power, heed my call” Rose shouts with a deranged laugh, “a mortal dare asks for the power of I the black moon spirit, for I am the sphinx of the black quarts sphinx, what can a human offer me,” says a mysterious female voice.

“Oh sphinx of black quartz, judge my vow, I will provide you with an adequate body the moment I have everything prepared, made with real flesh and blood, “ Rose says to the spirits, “what ‌is he rambling on about, let's just rush him” the blonde girl shouts, “shut up and wait let's see what happens,” says the other girl.

“I accept your offer mortal, I shall lend you my strength,” says the unseeable sphinx, suddenly Rose's maniacal smile resurfaces “Three kills in one day, I really am a lucky guy,” Rose says lifting his grey coat revealing a plain short dagger.

Rose swiftly unsheathed the dagger, but what came out of the small sheath was a full-length long sword, the blade was as black as night and on the base sword there were black quartz crystals which is spreading down his arm with crystals slowly rising out from his skin ripping his clothes.

“Don’t do anything rash May, we are no longer fighting for info, we’re fighting for our lives” says the purple-haired, “do you really think I’ll let him go after threatening us?” says the blonde girl, the purple-haired girl snaps and shouts “shut up may, just listen t-”, suddenly Rose lunges with incredible speeds and knees the purple-haired girl in the face.

Rose’s attack leaves a noticable mark on her cheek, and the impact forces her head to the ground and grinding her head hard across the ground leaving many scratches and bruises, Rose lands in front of May “thats revenge for what you did to my beautiful face” Rose says with a creeping smile while clutching his wounded face, “oh and purple princess, your head probably hurts like hell right now, and if you even move your concussion will get worse, so if I were you I’d stay still and get some good sleep” Rose says with a gleeful smile.

“Your name is May right, well that doesn’t matter now, show me your full power,” Rose says while glaring daggers at the blonde head, “you aren’t just fighting for your survival but also your friends, so keep that in mind,” Rose says circling May like a bird of prey, May with fury in her eyes she teleports behind Rose and attempts to punch his head, but Rose reacts fast and catches her blow from behind him and pulls her above his head and slams her to the ground hearing a meaty snap sound the instant she makes contact with the ground.

“Why did you hurt March, tell me you bastard,” May says rising from the ground and stumbling toward Rose, “are you actually asking me this, you’re the one that attacked me first, and even when I tried to negotiate you took advantage of me and surprise attacked, you freaking idiot” Rose shouts, May takes the opportunity to go for a strike but this time she puts all the aura she could into the attack her fist glowing a bright radiant gold as a burst of light flashes blinding most in sight.

Rose couldn’t see anything but he didn’t need to as he could keenly sense her aura so he guarded it with the black quartz blade, and when the light quikly dissipates and Rose goes in for the killing blow, feeling the blade slide through human flesh like cutting butter, ‘this feeling of destroying such human vessels is so addictive, I just want to drown all my the blood of my enemies’ Rose thinks to himself feeling his heart beat uncontrollably out of his lust of blood.

“Oh my why would you try to kill an honor roll student,” says a high young adult voice, “so you finally show your self Henry, so why are you interfering now,” Rose says noticing a large gash across his chest with small black crystals beginning to protrude out from his flesh.

May collapses to the ground behind Henry, “well a little birdie told me that you may get in some deep trouble and we can’t have that, now can we” Henry says pointing to the purple head and May, “well I can guess who told you, it was Geo Seok-ji right” Rose say smugly, “you are correct but how would you know that unless you’re, … no that can't be” Henry says backtracking his words, “It’s simple I knew that at least one of you would keep tabs on me after all my life is quite valuable to the both of you” Rose mentions knowing full well of his value.

“You damn brat, don’t let this go to your head” Henry says with an irritated smile on his face, the crystals in chest growing larger and larger seeming to get under his skin, “so are you going to do something about the wound” Rose says leering at the perculiar crystals, “oh, yeah it actually hurts a significant amount “ Henry says cheerfuly pointing to his wound, ‘then why not do anything about it’ Rose thinks to himself.

Rose hears faint steps emminatating from a door wooden trap door leading to the roof, “pretty sure there are people coming up here” Rose says causiously, “oh yes I’m aware” Henry says as he shoved his hand into Roses face knocking him to the ground, Rose could feel a bitter powder dissolve in his mouth and he salavates uncuntoulably as he instinctively swallows.

Rose quickley gets up and tries to spit out the powder but it was too late, “what the hell was that powder poisoned” Rose shouts as he turns to Henry with and fearful and puzzled look on his face, but Henry just continues to smile watching Rose stumble toward him, Rose could feel his consciousness slip and his thoughts become sluggish.

Rose could feel his body fall to the ground, Rose could barley see nor think, the last thing Rose sees is Henry talking to some people, then everything fades to black.
