Breaking into the clearing, Mellie could see the rescued humans washing up in the river with Robert and Mary. She smiled at all the good she had done that day. It may have been foolish to feed the zombies her flesh what she couldn't deny how happy it made her to see the people alive again. As she walked up to the river's edge Henry Sampson, one of the 1st zombies she turned human, smiled and dragged her in the water with him. Seduction lvl 9!
Everyone laughed, washed and prepared for the journey to Marningville. Mellie explained that she had to detour on the way to visit an old family friend somewhere east. The group accepted her explanation, if not sadly, happy to have assistance out of their dire situation. Henry Sampson sulked all day, but after a day full of sweet words, thoroughly enjoyed Mellies' bedroll that night.

As the morning came, so did Mellie before she kissed the handsome soldier goodbye and left for the Church with Mary at her heels. Robert was sneakily following behind them, in a comically loud fashion, against their wishes for their protection.
As the women walked up to the ruined fortress of a church, Mellie was feeling overwhelmed. If she couldn't find our answers in the Church then she didn't really have any direction. She had to find the demonkin and find out why her blood was so special. Also if there's demonkin, where were all the demons? As all this was running through her mind she heard a dumble and a slap as Robert's face fell and hit the mossy floor. That's when she realised they were standing on bleak moss and the elf and herself had immunities. Quickly, Mellie use truthseeker to find herbs to counteract the bleakmoss.

Well that was beneficial! Mellie took note not to underestimate that plant though. When she retrieved that sample, the thing did sting her and she hadn't even noticed until she read through her analysis. Mary and Mellie got to work boiling the snodgrass to feed it to Robert, hoping to save him. Alchemy lvl 2!
The logic was, the snodgrass would make the bleakmoss react like asthma medicine, then he could top it off with a health potion, since they had the vine anyways. Alchemy lvl 3! Their idea worked, and an embaressed Robert came around.
"Did you at least get poison resistance?" Mellie sighed.
"Minor poison resistance." He grumbled.
"Come on." Mellie said, aware that he would no matter what she said. Mellie followed the dragging feeling coming from her stomach, instinctually bypassing the crumbled remains of the entrance of the Church, uncovering a hole in the ground under a massive stone slab. She held it up as they entered, to Roberts astonishment, and closed themselves in the dark underground room.
Mary flicked her wrist and lit up the room as Mellie followed the pull down one corridor and then the next. When they finally stopped, they were outside an enormous set of double doors, with a giant rune carved into them. She took a deep breath, exhaled, slapped her hand on the door looking up at the large rune, and... nothing. She looked over at Mary, reaching for a knife, while holding up her firey hand. Robert just stood there with wide eyes as Mellie cut her hand and pressed it to the Rune.
As her blood touched the edges of the rune, golden traces ran along the rest of the symbol, lighting it up, making the room rumble as the doors slid open, dissappearing into the stone walls. Inside there was a stage, with five circular runic formations in the front. On the walls were maps of demonkin settlements from when they lived in Nort, as well as locations of the strongholds they were building. Mellie snagged the map.
There was a third map everyone was focused on, of a fourth continent. It was only an outline, with no cities or roads or scenery noted. A fourth continent that no one here seemed to know about. And it seemed it was on this planet.
"Has the whole world been explored?" Mellie asked the group. "Just assume I lived a very sheltered life. You'll hear much stranger questions." She explained.
"Yes. All the land has been mapped from here until the ocean drops off." Robert happily answered.
"Ocean drops off? What do you mean?"
"Like where the land ends and it falls off into the space waterfall." he explains
"And people have seen this space waterfall?" asked Mellie, speculating.
"Of course not." Robert explained, warily. "The really dangerous monsters live out there. And no one wants to go over the waterfall."
"Robert, what shape is the world?" Mellie asked curious.
"Square of course" he explained, looking at her like she was crazy.
"Uh huh" she said aloud. She wasn't ruling it out. This was a magical world. Maybe they had magic atmosphere and magic gravity. If the world was basically just a manablood explosion then anything is possible. So maybe this continent on the map was under the waterfall. Or maybe the world was round as it was supposed to be and no one could get passed the monsters. This wasn't her world. The only way to find out was to explore and ask questions. She grabbed the maps and stored them in her bag.
"Hey Robert, do you know storage runes?" Mellie asked him, smiling at her realization. "Yeah I'm pretty good at them. I haven't figured out manastone blood conversion ritual but I'm close. "If I could get you the blood could you make a real life bag of holding?" She asked, excitedly.
"Well I don't know runes that give sentience but I'm an apprentice at spatial runes. It would be a smaller space than if you had a master do it. It depends on the blood quality fueling the runes though." He explained while undervaluing himself, blushing nervously.
Mellie smiled, tossing him her bag and a vial of her blood, "Well we will just have to work you up to Master then, huh?". She explained. He held the items in his hands with reverence as he looked up at his savior. And then he did the thing. You know the thing.
Robert clutched the vial in his fist and dropped to his knees, and Mellie got another pledge.
