The dark void felt suffocating as the timer ticked down to zero. Mellie had no idea what she would wake up to. She knew she would need a weapon. Her strength being enough to break metal, it could break through magical skin, right? She made a mental checklist with all the free time she had in the nothingness.
The first thing she did was puzzle out her options. Such as, what if she woke up underwater? First she would Swim toward surface following breath bubbles. If no breath bubbles go towards the light. If no light, she would stay still and see which way body floats and try that direction. She would then attempt to shadowalk the surface of the water toward shore, most likely dying a few times in the process.
The situation she found herself in was terrifying. First of all, she died. Twice. And she was still alive because of the ancient curse she came to this world with. She was probably not going to die. Unless she got chewed to bits before she woke up, but there wasnt a precaution for something she couldn't prevent so the thought was useless for her. Though, if being eaten was survivable, the agony she would endure being processed and shit out of a sea creature wasn't something she wanted to speculate any longer.
Thousands of scenarios went through her mind as she figured out how to overcome this. Her greatest magic was supressed. As a level 20 will user with a two day penalty, she was defenseless. She couldn't truthseeker a monster to death. Shadowalk was her only usable spell, unless Polygot would help her wherever she landed. The fact was, all Mellie could really do was wait for the timer to tick down to zero, her fear and anxiety tempered by her forethought.
5.... 4..... 3.... 2..... 1....
Her eyes popped open as she felt pain rip through her left arm, pulling at her flesh as the waves slapped at her legs. A scream ripped over the sound of the crashing waves behind them. A burning pain coursed through her left arm as she tore it from the bloody mouth of a topless zombie. The body looked lile it had been dead maybe a month. With its ears clipped as they were, the only way to tell it was an Elf was its status.
Elven Zombie lvl 12
As Mellie dodged the Zombie around the beach out of the water, her body became flush with heat. The poison from the Zombie bite ate through her arm. Her blood began trickling, into the ocean as her body flushed out the infection, attracting little glowing manabugs to her feet in the water.
The Elven Zombie lvl 12 continued to persue her, now casting fireballs at her, while clutching its stomach, angry, hungry and looking sick. It began vomiting blood while charging Mellie. Fortunately Mellies' dexterity kept the zombie and most of the blood vomit, from hitting her. Mellie pulled back her right fist to punch its head in and threw the killing blow at the creature. As her fist continued forward, the zombie collapsed before it had a chance to land.

Mellie started and looked at her fist. She looked, confused, at the undead woman. It was slumped over in a kneeling position, unmoving. The manabugs were in a frenzy in the water beneath Mellie's feet and she yipped as she began to rise from the water and was deposited on the dry sand, like they knew what she needed.
As she was set down, the mass of glowing bugs faced her as a whole, she whispered, "Thank you." And as a whole the manabugs nodded, they reached out, a manabug blob of an arm sliding around her wounded one. She held back a scream as her blood was eaten and the wound healed immediately. And with that the glowing manabugs retreated back into the ocean. All except one. It hovered in her vision until it landed on her shoulder, a three inch glowing mass.
Water Fairy, lvl 20
As she was right now, Mellie's only offense was her untested Strength from her boosted class stat bonuses. Well, that and her Curse. She would have to watch everyone she ever loved die as she never aged. Surely, it was a curse.
Since these fairies seemed friendly since they had healed her she introduced herself to the glowing blob. She looked over at her shoulder. "Hello little one. I'm Mellie, whats your name?" She whispered. Before the blob could answer a group of snarling Smart Zombies broke through the trees and began strolling directly toward Mellie. Strolling was definitely the word. If she didnt have truthseeker she may have believed they were sentient.
The little glowing ball of fairy began zipping back and forth above Mellies' head shooting a green mist at the incoming horde. Follwing behind the Smart Zombies were Dumb Zombies shambling in the hundreds toward them. Vines began choking the zombies feet and flowers began growing from their eyes and scalp. One kept frantically picking dandelions out of his eyes, only for them to grow back over and over again. Mellie began retreating toward the forest, as she heard a loud gasp come from the collapsed elven zombie.
Mary Pruitt, Brewmaker lvl 12
Mary took a long breath in as her body finished restoring her life from her unlife. For the past month she had hobbled around Plumtown eating the rotting corpses of her neighbors since the raid had left. She remembered tearing into her boss' stomach after she had turned. He had been hiding in a wardrobe and came out to help hide her. It was a horrifying memory. She always hated the bastard, but he was an honorable man to the last breath.
As her nerves began to reactivate Mary felt cold and... wet. She stood up, covering her breasts, quickly ripping her skirt to wrap them. Then she took in her surroundings. Hundreds of zombies were surrounding the girl, leading her toward the lich lair. She may not be in the group today, but she knew this tactic. She would often leave the horde to wander the forests as many Elven zombies would. The girl had saved her life with that bite, she just knew it. She watched the girl retreat into the forest, surrounded and decided to help her. She rung out her ruined skirt and fake shambled around the horde, towards her savior.
