Sera stretches herself in Vey’s arms as she wakes, and plants a kiss on the underside of Vey’s chin as she feels her mate hug her tighter. She wiggles her body a little, signifying to Vey that she is fully awake now, and she kisses him again. This time, she feels Vey’s hard teeth ‘kiss’ her back(really just a forceful push against her lips using rock-hard bone), and as Vey’s arms release her, she stretches. Sera pauses mid stretch. Something… feels different… Sera realizes the sensation, or more specifically a lack of a specific type of sensation. I’m… not cold? Even slightly? Truthfully, what brought about this realization is something Vey probably already noticed himself, so the fact that Sera just noticed it herself means it probably happened in her sleep.
For a few months now, she hasn’t felt the cold of the dungeon’s air. That is not the same thing as her body not being cold. For example, and the topic of her confusion right now, is that when she went to bed without a blanket, as expected, her nipples were hard because of the cold. But yet, now, even as she brings a hand up to her left nipple, and pinches, and aside from the wholly expected and slightly arousing sensation, the sensation of her areole being hard is missing. The truth is painfully(and slightly pleasurably) clear. She’s cold, literally, in temperature, but her body is having absolutely zero reaction to it. She blinks again, and turns to Vey.
“Love… did you notice that while I was sleeping?” Sera shifts her body as well and makes a show of cupping the breast, sort of ‘pointing’ it at Vey. Vey’s eyes shift from watching what she was doing to settling on her gaze. “I mean… check… they’re not hard… They’re usually hard from the cold… I…”
“I can see that the middle part isn’t pushed out, if that’s what you mean.” Vey answers calmly, and brings up a clawed finger to her chest, and pushes the flat part of his index finger into her tit. Aside from the obvious embarrassing and lustful emotions that she summarily ignores, Vey’s touch provides ultimate confirmation that she isn’t going crazy.
“It’s called… Nevermind. But yeah… Wait…” Sera stops feeling herself, and switches to feeling a different part of herself. Namely her arms, as she observes that she doesn’t have bumps either, despite knowing she very much did when she went to sleep. “I’m… a bit weirded out by this… do I look different to you? With your sight? I’ll check my status.”

“You… Have a small amount of negative energy in your aura now, sort of like the zombies.” Vey answers as Sera processes the information, then processes the system notification she missed.
“‘Title Earned… Lich Loved… subrace is… undead… monster…” Sera shivers as she pieces together the disparate parts as a tempestuous mixture of emotions begin welling inside of her. “Vey… I’m… like you, now. I’m a monster, as far as the system is concerned. An undead monster. I even have Undead Endurance…”

What would’ve been the start of morning productivity is instead a morning cuddle session, though a less happy one than the night prior’s. Vey understands why. If Vey suddenly woke up and was classified as an Elf because he spent so much time hanging out around Sera he would be similarly confused, shocked, horrified, excited, and, though he’s not sure if it’s exactly the most relevant, clingy. Sera has cried a little bit, but seems to have mostly calmed down and accepted her transformation… or whatever it is that has happened. Vey isn’t going to let her go until she’s truly ready to, though.
It’s been a long time since he’s heard her cry like that and for so long, and it’s the first time he’s been both here, able, and wanting to help her. Vey allows himself a bit of wishful thinking, that if he’d known better, when she was first brought here, he’d have killed that necromancer and hugged her immediately, but alas, here he is, in that same bed with her, she’s naked still, and crying still.
But she’d been mumbling a bit to herself, and though she does let out some stifled sobs from time to time, Vey thinks her attitude is actually quite positive. Most of the things she’s said were more like statements of fact as opposed to self assurances, and Vey isn’t going to correct her saying that she’s a monster, if that’s what the system thinks she is too. He did correct her saying that she was an ugly undead, albeit he did that nonverbally with a ‘kiss’ on her forehead. After that, she’s admitted that she’s just an undead, and with her charisma of eighteen, most definitely not an ugly one. Her blessing is also apparently revealed to her as well. [Beauty of the Foreverqueen]. Vey isn’t going to argue that she is indeed beautiful, he spent a decent amount of the previous night contemplating that, in fact. That she has a blessing admitting it is…
As for the reason he thinks she’ll be fine, the idea that she’s a monster is apparently the only part of this she doesn’t like, the idea of being an undead is something she’s apparently ok with. She’d even said(albeit jokingly) that they could be together forever, if she was a proper undead instead of just a half- or quarter- or whatever she is.
He squeezes her chest to his, and feels her legs wrap over his own to ‘hug’ him that way too. The end result is that for all intents and purposes, the only way their bodies could get closer is if she shoved her head under his rib cage instead of shoving her breasts into it.
“Do you feel ok?” Vey asks hesitantly, and gets only the feeling of Sera shaking her head ‘no’ as a response. “Do you think this somehow changes things for us?”
“I… It’s just a lot at once. I’ll manage, in a couple hours I’ll be fine. A day at most.” Sera’s response is honest, because she cannot lie to him, so Vey responds by easing up on his embrace. “Do you think I’ll be able to evolve? Like a monster? Do you think I could be a white or red or blue elf?”
Vey chuckles at that, and lets her pull away. Instead of pulling away, however, Sera climbs over him, plants her left knee between Vey’s legs, and straddles his left leg. Vey lets her find his hands with hers, and take them. He also makes note of how she playfully shakes her breasts from side to side, and starts leaning herself downwards.
“... Before you ask, having an aura of negative energy and being technically an undead hasn’t made me magically develop sexual arousal.”
“Damn! I thought I could at least get you to play along for a little...” Sera scoffs, and gets off of him, with a huff of what Vey feels is safe to identify as disappointment. For what, he simply isn’t sure. “It’s not always about doing anything… At least, I think… It’s just fun to tease you…”

“Woi, Sera and I are leaving the dungeon with Sheo squad tonight, we will be back either in the middle of the night or in the morning. Lead Dragon squad in the defense until we return.” Vey issues this standing order, and Woi bows before responding.
“As you command, Glorious Leader. And victory to you, Queen.” Woi bows again, this time to Sera.
Honestly, Woi being the most intelligent of Dragon squad was a surprise to Vey, but he supposes it makes sense. The crossbowman’s job is quite literally to call the shots for the archers, so possessing more intelligence for that role is to be expected. Vey turns to Sheo squad, and mentally commands them along. At some point when Vey wasn’t paying attention, Sera managed to detach herself from his side, and is now ‘talking’ with Squish and the rest of Zombie squad.
“We’ll be back in a bit, alright? Help Dragon squad guard the place, and I’ll teach you all how to make more stuff when we get back, ok?” Sera’s words seem to inspire the zombies to obey the instruction similarly to Vey’s own command link, which is just as strange as it always is when he sees it. Stranger, is Sera ties a little brown cloth, her own handkerchief, into Squish’s hair like a bow.
“Ready to go?” Vey asks, holding out a hand for Sera as she walks over. She takes it, and picks up her two swords from Sheo.
“Yeah. Let’s go kill some humans.” Sera’s chipper tone of voice is mildly wrong to Vey’s ears, but the fact that she giggles afterwards quiets the nerves it rattled. “Hopefully there aren't many of them… I want to level up and scare them off, not wipe my home town off the map.”
“Well, we might have to do that eventually… Unless you can live up to the ‘Queen’ title and get them to become subjects or something.” Vey’s joke prompts a laugh from Sera, but a dead serious reaction from Dragon squad.
“Long live the Glorious Leader! Long live Queen Sera!”
Vey mentally sighs, and checks his prepared spells one last time.

The plan is simple and familiar, with a slight variation in strategy. [Shadow Way] covers an area in magical shadow, and lets Vey and a few other creatures pass through it, so they will use this to get close. Then, Vey will open with [Fog] and [Web] as usual, and after that, all that’s left to do is kill everyone. Granted, it’ll be a bit more complicated than that, but that’s the gist of it.
For her part, Sera’s plan is also fairly simple. [Stonesword], [Chill Touch], Appendage Crusher, and then simply butcher everyone she comes across as she makes her way to block the villagers from joining the fight. Her idea is that by ensuring no one runs to go get help, she can make sure that the only people that die are those unfortunate enough to already be at the watchpost.
Sheo squad’s role is similarly simple, the melee fighters are Sera’s guards, the archers and crossbowman are Vey’s. Their orders will be to kill everyone not of an undead race, indiscriminately. Vey is able to give orders like that now, without making things complicated, due to Sera’s newfound status as one of the undead. Vey thinks the way her ears twitched happily when he explained that is a good sign.

Marietta jolts upright as her latest vision subsides. That fucking skeleton! She shouts internally, trying to shake off the intense phantom pain in her chest and head. So, being an [Untouchable] lets you just ‘decide’ to fuck with me from the future, is that it? Fuck you.
The experience of watching the future from the body of a zombie was strange the first time, and the feeling of the person she was watching from being killed, like had happened with Violet those months ago, is also weird. The feeling of a zombie she was watching from being torn apart while a supposed god-killer told her to kill herself for trying to spy on their future was a bit…
She shivers, and reaches for the glass of water on her nightstand. She knows that, inevitably, because she’s seen that future, it won’t happen exactly that way. That’s not exactly good news, since the news that this [Untouchable]’s potential future self is both aware of not just someone spying from the past, but that it’s Marietta specifically is very, very bad. She’s under the assumption right now that the skeleton, wherever it is, doesn’t know about her now. She’s also under the assumption that the moment one of her ‘visions’ from what is currently her past happens, the skeleton will know.
That’s terrifying, but she does have some information. Granted, the fact that Crimson Mists AND Edora’s Hand are currently nowhere to be found or heard from right now means it might not be enough, but she does know exactly where that bastard will be going the moment it reveals itself to the world.
She has absolutely no idea why, but that skeleton seemed hellbent on tracking down and annihilating the Cult of Undeath. It seems backwards to her, an undead of that power hunting down a cult that would probably worship it as a child of their god, but it does give her a lead. She reaches for her bell, and goes to ring it, but finds her hand stopped by her maid.
“I will fetch your supplies, Princess Mari, and I will inform the Duke that you are busy dealing with prophecy related matters and won’t be giving any speeches today.” The maid today is Matilda, one of Marietta’s favorite maids for the sole reason that with some minor illusion magic she can serve as a body double(not to mention her voyeurism).
Marietta doesn’t respond to her, and instead sinks back into her bed for a moment, and covers her eyes with her hands. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuckfuckfuckfuck-
“Thank you, Matilda.” Marietta replies softly, and receives a similar lack of response.
