SABERS REQUIEM
Baron Wason attacked the two knights with his strongest skill, he was really confident that they were idiots to fall behind enemy lines. Before his sword even reached, it was parried casually. With his chest wide open, he made a panicked face knowing he couldn't counter in time as the knight drove its sword through his chest. It then lifted him up with the sword with one hand and with a flick of the wrist, sent his body splattering on the wall. The sounds of wet blood splashing and bones breaking on impact made everyone nearby freeze with fear.
"They didn't even flinch, with two moves they got rid of a high silver rank" Olmar thought to himself as he also couldn't move from his spot.
Olmar and General Palmar looked at each other and nodded at the same time. The only people who could deal with these foes were going to be them.
"EVERYONE FOCUS ON THE SIEGE! ME AND THE GENERAL WILL HANDLE THEM!" Yelled Olmar as he jumped and landed between the two knights and the soldiers.
GUNGNIR BLAST
General Palmar used his skill on one of the knights, a large blast of energy was about to consume the knight before it also activated one of its skills.
ARC BEAM
Altough the energy mech was a Gold rank, the general has had years of experience, talent, and more power than a regular gold rank. The gungnir blast overtook the energy mech, which sent it crashing through the road, leaving a deep trench into the ground. Not giving it time to get back up, the general dashed to the mech with his spear. Hoping to inpale it with one swift move, gripping his weapon he thrust it with full power. The whole tip of the spear went through the mechs chest, like a hot knife. Scoffing at how easy it was to take on the enemy. General Palmar was about to pull out his weapon, when a metal hand grabbed his forearm. He tried to force the knight to let go, too bad he didn't see the punch going straight to his own chest. The punch knocked out all the air out of his body, his body bent with how much force it produced. Even his own chest armor crumpled. He was sent flying afterwards, he ended up going through a manors gate and into a garden.
"H-how are you even alive? You monster, as I suspected. That brat has allied himself with a dark power." General Palmar said while standing up, and watching the mech walk towards him while still having the spear through his chest.
While that was happening, Olmar was currently fighting his own enemy. The energy mech was standing its ground, altough it already had plenty of nicks and dents. Olmar was prepared to not do the same mistake as the general, if he was going to defeat this thing. He had to crush it completely.
"You simple puppet, you and your master are fools for challenging us. I'll admit you got the drop on me, but soon the king will send his aide and you will realize the consequences of your arrogance." Olmar said to the puppet in front of him. What he didn't expect was an answer.
"Arrogance? Fools? You may defeat me in combat, but more will take my place. Your kingdom is only the beginning for my master, you can't stop the rumbling of the war engine, simple human." Replied the energy mech.
For a moment, Olmar was speechless. Taking advantage of this, the energy mech activated its skills.
ENERGY AURA
EIGHT FOLD SLASH
"DAMMIT!" Yelled Olmar
He barely had a chance to put his guard up, he couldn't believe the knights strength just increased. One of the slashes ended up cutting through his shoulder and leaving a deep gash. When the energy mech did its combo, it finished it off with a spinning kick to his gut. A massive crash could be heard as Olmar went through an entire mansion. While in midair he planted his feet on the ground, as he slid a couple more meters before he stopped. He stood their unmoving, waiting for the knight to arrive. Soon a figure could be seen through the dust cloud, it radiated a bright blue color.
ARC BEAM
A large beam of energy shot straight to Olmar and it struck him straight in the chest, exploding him into pieces of...dirt?.
"Wait..." Said the energy mech as it looked towards the sky.
EARTH JUDGMENT HAMMER
The energy mech was crushed by a large earth hammer from above, almost completely turning it into a crushed can. Olmar wasn't done, he kept repeating his movement over and over. All the way until the mech turned to motes of light.
"Gotcha you damn monster." Said Olmar, then from a corner of his eyes, he could see General Palmar limping towards him. "General Palmar, it's good to see that you're not dead yet, I assume you finished on your end?"
"I need to retire after this, getting too old. These damn things don't fear death, even if you cut off their limbs they just say it's a flesh wound." Said Palmar.
"Let's rejoin the walls, victory is almost in si-" As soon as he was going to finish his line, more than twenty energy mechs fell from the sky.
They all fell around the two men, creating craters where they landed. The two men wore grim expressions as they felt their hearts give out on each drop. Finally the last one to land was a human teen. They both knew who he was, they gave him glares that could kill.
"Hmph? Now now you two, don't look at me like that. This is your own fault after all. Surrender and I will make it a quick death." Said Sam as he watched with a smile on his face.
"The kingdom knows about this treachery you have made, even the king!" Olmar said
"Good, this will make it more interesting, watching all of you struggle till the end. Anyways, enough of this blah blah treachery, it's time to end this. KILL THEM!" Ordered Sam.
The two men prepared themselves, already tired and injured from the previous fights, they knew this was where they would fall. Suddenly a large fluctuation of space energy could be felt by both parties above them. They all stopped to stare at the two figures who fell from the sky and landed next to Olmar and Palmar. One was a tall warrior with a red and white armor set, he held a large Halberd bigger than himself. While the second figure was an old man in a fine blue and black mage robe.
"Commander of the royal knights, Lord Gustafson. HAHA! reinforcements have arrived!" Olmar exclaimed with joy. "Brat you and your puppets are done for, Lord Gustafson is second in strength to his Majesty in the entire kingdom. Lord Gustafson, this is the bastard who decided to betray his kingdom. Please end his miser-"
"Silence" Lord Gustafson said without raising his voice, but it had enough power behind it to make Olmar shut his mouth. With a deep gaze, the knight commander looked at Sam.

"4th prince of the Vanmeister kingdom, Samuel Vanmeister. By the order of his royal majesty, King Varne Vanmeister the third. He has ordered you to stop this useless war, in return. You will keep the territories you have invaded, including Viscount Olmars. Should you continue, the king has ordered for me to execute you for treason. What is your answer?" Gustafson said, with a hint of bloodlust at the end.
"Did you hear that Olmar? Tu casa, mi casa!" Sam mocked, Olmar just made an angry expression. Even though he didn't know what he said, he knew he was being made fun of. "Anyways, how nice of the old man to offer me land, but you can kindly tell him to wait for me at the capital. Cause I'm going to take everything from him and more."
"You've made your choice." replied Gustafson
LIGHTNING FIELD
Lifting his halberd towards the sky, a large vortex of dark clouds formed above Gustafson. Dozens of lightning strikes struck all the energy mechs, making sparks come out of all of them. An energy mech stood in front of Sam to protect him and was hit with lightning. Once it was all over, the energy mechs started shining with more power instead of being destroyed.
"Would you look at that? Attack!" Sam ordered.
ARC BEAM
Over twenty arc beams shot straight towards the four men. With the extra power, the beams were much more powerful than usual. Before they hit, the old mage joined the fight as well.
DOME DOMINION
A dome barrier protected the four men, even with the protection, cracks started forming around the barrier.
"Gustafson, distribute the teleporting crystals!" Yelled the old mage.
"His majesty's orders were to execute the traitor! Even if we die, we must follow the kings decree!" Gustafson replied with conviction.
The old mage just sighed and replied with an angry voice.
"You fool! Your strongest attack just made them stronger, the General and Viscount are half dead. If you also haven't noticed, his army has already overrun the walls. Soon we won't be fighting twenty, we will be fighting an entire army, at the end you will only make his conquest much easier by dying here!" Exclaimed the old mage.
After some reluctance, Gustafson passed the teleporting crystals. Sam didn't like this one bit, seeing his troops arrive in mass he ordered them to join the fight.
"I want that barrier broken, don't let them escape!" Sam yelled in frustration.
It was too late, all four men disappeared before he finished his sentence.
"Keep running away, soon their won't be anywhere to run. Fucking teleporting crystals, that thing is a cheat item." Said Sam, as if his items and things weren't the same as well.
After the soldiers who surrendered were captured and locked away, he did the same thing as in Bryxton. He rallied the people behind his cause, bringing this county and the next county's to come into his cause. After he noticed that he received more than 90 million exp from the battle, he asked for Nostromo to pump out 100,000 mark 1s and 2s. As well for the lab to produce another batch of bio gobs. This battle didn't make him suffer much casualties from his mechs, but he did lose almost all bio gobs. He waited another couple of days for the reinforcements. In the meantime he settled a temporary government, back at Bryxton the build bots tore down all the old rickety buildings and have started making proper homes for the common folk. The benefit of taking over a county is also the resources, he has been looting the vaults of the rich nobles and city lords.
[623 TIER 3 CORE SHARDS COLLECTED]
"I can get way more tier 3 core shards by looting the county's. If 2 county's can give me this much, still 18 more county's won't be enough. Nostromo, contact the energy mech next to Christopher, and ask him if he knows about any dungeons nearby." Sam said. After a bit of waiting Nostromo informed Sam about what Christopher knows. According to him, the next neighboring county actually was built on top of a dungeon, and that dungeon has 4 floors. "Fantastic, excellent job Nostromo. Also start the Mark 3 base upgrade."
"Mark 3 base upgrade initiated, time for completion 23:59:10"
With that settled, Sam was ready to rev up the engines to continue his conquest.

POV King Varne
Deep in the heart of the Vanmeister kingdom, an enormous city with five large rings of walls could be seen. The more they went outwards, the thicker and taller they were. The outside wall already reached 200 meters, and a thickness of 90 meters. An enormous city like this kept a total of 3.5 million inhabitants, and at the very center an enormous castle with heavily fortified black walls with red accents could be seen in the center. In this very castle, inside a large throne room several people were kneeling before a grand throne made of gold. A large golden statue of a phoenix loomed over it, creating a intimidating feeling. Sitting on this throne an extremely handsome middle aged man, with a dark red mane of hair and a scar running through his right red eye. He looked at the men kneeling infront of him with a look of indifference, he could tell some of them were quivering.
"So, which is it? Some of you have said that this son of mine has allied with the Kalimbor empire, dark arts, or the Dwarven kingdom. You can all run your mouths, but not produce results." King Varne said with a voice full of authority. "Old man Vince, what did you think about my son's troops?"
The old mage who's name was Vince, lifted his head and looked straight at the king, not minding the heavy atmosphere in the room.
"Your majesty, while I was inspecting the enemy forces with my magic. I noticed that none of them gave off life signatures, so they really can't be from the Dwarven kingdom. I've personally seen their creations, they use soul magic to attach a soul of a dwarve into their golems. No matter how advanced the Kalimbor empire is, even they lack behind the dwarves in golem knights. Now that leaves dark arts, but even my most powerful detection spells didn't find a trace of dark powers in these things. The only thing I can think of, is that your son may have found a powerful secret technique or artifact in the ruins of an ancient empire. If so, we have to capture him to make him lead us to these ruins and make him turn in what he has found. If he is already this powerful, imagine what your majesty could do with this power. Even the Kalimbor empire would not be able to compete with us." Explained the Old mage, with a look of greed in his eyes.
"Interesting, that does make everything much more explainable. As expected of the royal court mage who served my father. You may all leave except for Vince and Gustafson, prepare yourselves for the coming war. Please call in all my children into the room." King Varne ordered.
After General Palmar and Viscount Olmar left, they felt relieved to have gotten away alive. If it wasn't for his majestys quick reinforcements, none of them would have been alive. Although it still hurt Olmar's pride to have lost his land, at least now he can enact revenge. While they were leaving, they saw the princes and princess passing through and lowered their heads.
In the throne room, the kings children entered one by one. The one in the lead was the first prince, Varne Vanmeister the fourth, an exact copy of his father except for the scar. Behind him was the second prince, Romain Vanmeister. Unlike his older brother he was still muscular, but on the leaner side. After that was the third prince, Admond Vanmeister. Also unlike his older brothers he was much thinner, with a short wavy hairstyle which made him more of a man of intelligence and with a sharp gaze. Last but not least was the first and only princess, Angela Vanmeister. Since she was born from the second queen, she had vibrant orange hair. Her figure could alure anyone, in the kingdom she was an unmatched beauty. Altough in most kingdoms a princess would be used as a form of union between two houses or kingdoms. Here the Vanmeisters allowed anyone to compete for the throne. Once they all lined up in front of the throne, they bowed to their king father.
"Father, it is so wonderful to see you in good health and strength." Angela said with the sweetest voice anyone has ever heard.
The other men just looked at her in silence. One staying stoic, the other one annoyed and one with a calculating gaze.
"Enough, I have called upon you all to give my final choice on who will be inheriting the throne." King Varne was no fool, he knew his children were just putting up facades to please him. Just the same way his siblings did to win the throne decades ago.
All of the royal princes and princess, waited on bated breaths to see who has been chosen.
"I will choose my heir on whoever can complete this one task successfully. The task is to defeat your brother, Samuel Vanmeister. After that is done, you will bring him back alive. If he is killed, you will be disqualified and disowned as royalty." Announced King Varne, the look of shock was shown on every one of the royal siblings. "I am sure you have heard of your brothers actions these passing months, I will bestow upon each and every one of you 100,000 troops. Whoever brings him back alive first, will be my heir. Any questions?"
The first one to snap out of it, and process the strange request was the first prince.
"Father, I have indeed heard about the traitors actions. If it weren't for the shortage in my troops, I would have came back with his head already. Yet you request us to bring him back alive, after all he has done?" The first prince asked.
"Your brothers actions are not entirely his own, he has been forced to walk this path." King Varne said, as he swayed his gaze on the second prince. The second prince shivered as his father kept his eyes on him, while he talked. "Someone has put a knife to his throat and killed his mother. Now he believes the kingdom is the culprit. He must be judged by me, his own father."
The rest of the siblings looked at the second prince, understanding what their father meant.
"Any form of cheating will be an immediate loss, understand that anything in these lands is under my watch. Do not disappoint me, now go!" Proclaimed the King.
With another wave of bows, the royal siblings left with many plans in their heads on how they will capture this bastard brother of theirs. One thing that they all shared was a look of greed in their eyes.
Once King Varne was alone in the throne room with his men, he excused himself to his study. He arrived to a room filled with a large exquisite desk, surrounded by bookshelves, furniture, and a large portrait of himself behind his desk. Sitting on a large comfy chair behind his desk, he was going to reach for a piece of parchment until he heard glass ringing. He turned to see an average man in good physical condition, who donned a large coat over himself. The man was simply serving himself a drink by the mini bar, seeing the man caused King Varne to stand up immediately and kneel.
"Lord Gilmar, how may I be of service?" King Varne exclaimed, sweat covering his forehead.
If anyone in the castle were to see this scene, they would have thought they fell under some illusion spell. For those who knew who this Gilmar fellow was, they would know he wasn't one to be taken lightly. After finally pouring himself a drink, Lord Gilmar turned his attention to Varne.
"Enough with the pleasantries kid, I'm just passing through." Lord Gilmar said.
"Forgive me for saying this but how could a visit from one of the high table elders, ever be a simple visit." Varne said with worry.
"Hehe don't worry, im not here to punish you. You are one of my favorite after all, since you're so close to black gold rank. When will you finally go to seclusion and break through so you could join us Obsidian players? This king business has been holding you back for the longest time." Said Lord Gilmar
"I have already prepared to make a breakthrough Lord Gilmar, I just need to finish on choosing my heir soon. One of my children has been misbehaving lately, so it has lead to some complications." Replied Varne.
"Now that you bring up that brat, he has been getting the attention of the table members. We know he isn't working for one of the other races, if he was though, he would be long dead. By the order of the high table, we can't intervene to stop him. It is natural for their to be competition, just as long as one of the big players don't get involved. So do your best, don't be like your father and get killed by your own son." Lord Gilmar said, putting his glass down.
Before Varne could say a word, the man was gone. Leaving him alone with his own thoughts and emotions.
