[DING 25000 EXP COLLECTED]

[DING 65 TIER 1 CORE SHARDS COLLECTED]

"Good harvest, but not good enough to unlock any mark 2s."

One had to know that Mark 1 androids had the same quality strength as a bronze rank human, usually the level of a well trained soldier. Mark 2 would step into silver rank, which would be the average level of a veteran soldier in this world. Mark 3 would be gold rank, elite warriors, only nobles, royal guards and kings reached this far. Mark 4 would be black gold rank, they are considered outliers of humanity and would be leaders of empires or powerful organizations. Mark 5 would be Obsidian rank, literal gods to mankind, who are worshipped, not many know much about them, only that they watch over humanity's survival. Sam knew that Mark 5 wasn't the highest level of Mechs in the game, which is why he wanted to quickly unlock as many as possible.

"Hehe the day I unlock mark 4, this kingdom with its highest being at gold rank, will be the first of many to come."

While the androids scavenged the camp, Sam approached the chiefs tent with ten units surrounding him. He ordered five to enter and report back. After waiting they came back, to inform him what they found.

"Reporting to the machine monarch, we have found 10 female goblins, as well as 5 females of different races."

Sam entered and was immediately assaulted with a sour smell to the nostrils, nothing was new to him. Blood and guts leave a worse smell, walking to a back room filled with moans of pain. He saw the five females that stood out first, three human girls around his age, two surprisingly beastkin females. All of them including the goblin woman had abnormally round bellys that moved constantly, and glossy lifeless eyes, Sam just looked at them with a cold stare and turned to walk out.

"Make it quick and painless, loot anything useful and burn this place down."

Sam knew he couldn't help these poor woman, he's tried before, only for them to reach for his service weapon and end their life in front of him. At least with this, he can end their suffering.

After thirty minutes, he summoned another 40 androids to replenish troops, since he lost six to the chief and four others were taken down by the hobgoblins. Smirking while seeing all the fresh troops saluting him made this whole ordeal worth it. With the goblin camp destroyed he set out with his troops. Once again he ordered them, before they set out to make more wooden spears. Forming a forty unit spear rear guard group, that would support from the back. A ten unit sword vanguard and a twenty dagger middle guard.

They set out in a 10x7 marching formation, combing through the forest. Tiny creatures scampered off once they saw their figures, while the bigger ones stared from a distance. Obviously Sam was in the middle of the formation, staying safe and observing the surroundings.

After a half hour of marching the small militia came upon a large wide cave carved into a mountain wall, big enough for the entire formation to enter and have enough room. Sam felt a wave of energy hit him, same feeling someone would have when hit with heat on a hot day or cold air during a windy blizzard.

[DING DUNGEON ENTRANCE FOUND]

"Just when I needed somewhere to set up a camp, farm exp, and shards."

Sam ordered the troops to advance into the dungeon, changing from a cave setting to a large stone hallway the deeper they went. They once had to change formation to 5x14 in order to have room. Not able to see in the dark, even with his bronze rank eyesight, an android next to Sam crafted a torch and lit it on fire with flint and sparks. They walked for five minutes before two shaking skeletons walked forward towards the vanguard. Their skulls were smashed instantly once they were in range. With the androids superior strength, and the Skeltons weak defense made it too easy.

"Wait, if I'm right about this, then this place would be way more perfect to set up a base. Either skeletons give 100% drop rates on core shards, or dungeons are the META." Sam thought to himself smiling.

Continuing the dungeon diving exploration, they steamrolled through the groups of skeletons, before they stopped in front of a ten meter tall wooden door. Without any prep work needed to be done, four vanguard units pushed both doors open with ease. Spilling into a wide, tall chamber. In the far back of the chamber a skeleton in light metal armor stood posed, both hands clasped around the pommel of a greatsword stabbed into the stone ground. Once the doors shut behind Sam, the skeleton knight eye sockets lit up with a red light staring up at the newcomers.

"For years, I slumber in wait for a worthy opponent wou-"

Without warning ten vanguard units closed the distance, and swung at different parts of the skeleton knight armor. Some at the legs, shoulders, or arms. Even if the skeleton could block a blade, it would still be hit. With a combined attack, it was sent flying towards the back wall. Cracks spread on impact, and soon the knight slumped over motionless.

"Damn calm down skelly, you're just a Class 2. No need to be so dramatic."

Stone started shifting in the middle of the chamber, revealing stone stairs going down.

"Hopefully no more skeletons to see if dungeons really do give full core drops."

Doing some prep work, before going down. Sam looked into the first floor gains.

[5000 EXP]

[50 TIER 1 CORE SHARDS]

With the previous sixty five he had before coming here, he had more than enough to unlock a Mark 2 troop. Willing the choices in front of him he was met with 2 brightly lit pictures.

[Hanzo mech, 116/100]

[Medic mech, [116/100]

Looking into their description.

[Description: Mark 2 Hanzo mech, strong enough to bend metal and quick enough to stay unseen. Equipped with a sleek bow built into its left arm and a katana blade. Special abilities are silent slash and piercing shot. Cost:1000 EXP]

[Description:Mark 2 Medic mech, strong enough to bend metal and quick enough to treat the injured. Equipped with energy shield and a pulse energy cannon built into the palm. Special abilities are pulse heal and boost domain. Cost:1000 EXP]

Both options look amazing, but at the moment, he had to cross out the medic mech. With the repair option, he can heal troops instantly. So far he won't need healing either, since he's constantly protected. Picking the first option, and using 5000 exp, five glowing figures manifested. Unlike the bare bones that the androids were. The hanzo mech stood 2 meters tall, wearing a black body suit and eva helmet. Incredibly intimidating to anyone who witness it in person, especially in a dark setting.

"Now this is some serious sci fi shit, look at your body suit. You can't even tell your all wires and chips in their, exp well spent."

Ready to head out and with five Mark 2 hanzos, he was feeling giddy for the next level. More stone tunnels appeared on the second floor, only cobwebs covered almost everything in sight. Two hanzos now scouting ahead and leading the formation, above on the ceiling hiding, a black carapace spider, the size of a medium sized dog waited to drop on its victim approaching. It's black pearl eyes turned to glee once it saw the hanzos walk below and dropped. At the same time, always hands on their blades the hanzos swung together in an arc above them, slicing the spider into multiple pieces. All of this without looking at it and flicking the green blood off the blade, back into the sheath.

Not fully convinced yet, Sam waited till they got to boss room.

An hour later and they got to the boss room.

"YESSS!!! they have a 100% drop rate, I've found my first farm spot! I wonder if this has to be due to the higher concentration of mana."

Quickly checking the spoils all the way to the second floor boss room. Their were a ton of Class 2 stalking spiders, ended up losing eight androids.

[78000 EXP]

[157 TIER 1 CORE SHARDS]

All together he had 84,000 exp saved up, and another 100 shards to unlock the medic mech.

[Medic mech, 173/100]

"Unlock, summon 23 hanzos and 10 medic mechs"

The dark hallway was momentarily lit up with 33 figures, once it was over he checked out the new unit. Medic mech stood 1.5 meters tall, wearing a white body suit and a green visor helmet. Red crosses adorned his shoulders and two big ones on the front and back. Almost the complete opposite of the hanzo fit.

"Not bad, now I can save up points from repairs, let's move out!"

Entering the boss room, they were met with a giant class 3 brood spider mother, the size of a car. Letting a loud hiss to the intruders, immediately a wave of spiders descended from the walls around it charging towards the mechs.

"Medic mechs activate your boost domain, spear throwers start firing at will!"

Ten medic mechs activated their AOE skill, a light blue dome that would spread 20 meters around them boosting speed, strength, and heals damage. With the extra area effect skill the androids spear throw was twice as effective, easily tearing through the spiders. A close combat battle soon happened, with mechs stabbing into spiders and spiders jumping onto units while using their sharp mandibles to bite into the mechs. In the far back the brood mother activated her skill, a glowing green liquid stream struck 5 androids, their bodies melting at a visible speed, after taking enough damage they disappeared.

"HANZOS FOCUS THE BROOD MOTHER!"

A team of ten hanzos wall climbed around the spiders, slashing at any enemies in their way. Jumping off the wall and activing their piercing shot skill with their bows mid air, all ten shots penetrated the brood mothers eyes, leaving it blind. Afterwards they landed, using their silent slash skill, hacked off all eight legs off making the main body drop to the floor. Helpless and desperate the brood mother used her skill to spray the acid at anything in front of it. Too bad the hanzos prepared for this and quickly stabbed into the main body from the sides. Hissing and Screeching turned to silence, the brood mothers squirming went still. Cleaning up the remaining spiders took less then five minutes. Casualties were at only twelve, being only androids who fell in battle.

[10000 EXP]

[DING 1 TIER 2 CORE COLLECTED]

"Yessir! at this rate I can keep farming the 2 floors and building up my forces."

A stone slab slid open, revealing a set of stairs. By the pattern he's noticed, first floor had Class 1 and Class 2 as a boss, floor 2 had class 2 and class 3 as a boss. Although the hanzo and medic units can handle it. It will take a lot longer than before and he was already feeling the mental fatigue, ever since he woke up in this world he hasn't slept. A medium sized chest appeared on a stone platform next to the brood mother. Looking inside, it was filled with 3 small hand sized bars of gold, jewels, and some potions that had a green bubbling liquid. He immediately put all items into his inventory tab and started making his way back up into the surface of the dungeon. It was already dusk and getting dark out, so he decided to get moving while their was little light out.

"Ten hanzos spread out and watch the surroundings for any intruders. Androids start collecting wood, build a fenced area around the entrance and get some rabbits or whatever you can hunt nearby. Medics repair any units that need it."

Sitting down on a rock, Sam checked how much he made during the battle. He wasted 33000 on the extra troops, leaving him with 51000 exp. He gained another 70000 with the big boss room. In total with both floors he garnered a massive total of 153,000 exp. This was not just a simple number, if he were to use it solely on androids he can have 306 to summon, 153 hanzos, or medics. Inhaling a breath of air, he knew this is the way to go moving forward. He summoned a 120 androids, 40 hanzos, and 10 medics. As soon as they spawned he gave them tasks to do.

"225 units in one day, although it's looking easy. Just to unlock the next row of Mark 3 mechs will take 1000 tier 2 core shards each, soon I'll experiment how long it will take the dungeon to refill its mob monsters."

Sam laid down on a makeshift bed the androids made for him and fell asleep staring up into the sky.
