"Y-Yes sir!" (Mav)

Mav stumbled a bit on the way over to the crystal. I don't know if she's a little clumsy or just nervous. Maybe a bit of both?

She placed her hand on the crystal and was also enveloped in a bright white light.

Oh! Her hair turned into a golden blonde! It was the normal blood red before. This kind of reminds me of a certain warrior race in my past. She honestly looks like a dark elf at the moment.

Hmm...actually. I think she really turned into some kind of dark elf. Her ears grew longer and ending with a point. She has a cool awakening right there.

Mav steps over to the summon circle with a look of conviction in her eyes. Her nervousness seems to have been blown away with the awakening.

Upon stepping into the circle there was again another flash and in the middle of it stood a pitch black silhouette.

What's that? It looks like the shadow of some kind of ninja. A Shadow Ninja? Do those even exist in this world? I've never heard of it in any of the books here, and that's saying something considering we as a race like to hoard knowledge. I doubt it even has blood in it so that method of attack is out the door for poor Mav.

"Ha!" (Mav)

A smirk sprouted on her face. Also, I've only heard her speak once but that little chuckle was deeper then before.

A quick change in her stance and she was leaning forwards towards the floor with her arms outstretched and palms facing down.

"[Holy Orders Twin Blade!]" (Mav)

Two golden magic circles began to form on the ground under her palms. As soon as the hilts of the swords formed she immediately grabbed them and sprinted towards the shadow ninja.

The shadow ninjas hands extended and two swords were also formed.

So it could adapt? That's a dangerous monster she's up against.

The shadow ninja also sprinted forwards. The moment the two where within arms reach of eachother they both swung in full force. Mav slashed left and the shadow went right. The clash was deafening! When the two separated there was a slight distortion left in the air.

Spatial distortion!? If anyone normal would have been caught up in the clash it wouldn't have been a pretty sight. What's with these two's power? Does the summoning ritual summon something that's about where the summoners level is?

"Hahahahahahaha!" (Mav)

Mav looks like she's having a good time as she once again goes in for another bout with the shadow ninja.

After a few more space distorting clashes the shadow ninja starts turning into some kind of mist. The mist rises and begins blanketing the starry sky black.

The tribes men around watching begin readying their weapons while starring at the now blackened sky.

"[Holy Maiden Pillars]!" (Mav)

Mav shouted out as four silver pillars sprouted from the ground at four corners around her.

"[Great goddess of creation heed my call and grant me your power if only but a moment. I offer you my servitude in return]!" (Mav)

The dark clouds adove roll and thunderous sounds ring out as black lightning begins discharging from the clouds.

Mav started glowing a blinding golden light as the black lightning clustered towards the middle.

Then with a thunderous explosion the lightning launched towards Mav.

"[Sky Splitter Beam]!" (Mav)

A brilliant golden light centered around Mav's converged hands sprouts out and shoots like a laser beam.

A flash of white light was all I saw before I was sent flying away a few meters before rolling to a stop. All I could see was dust and fellow tribesmen in similar circumstances as me.

When the dust finally began to settle I could start to see the aftermath of that fierce battle. There, in the middle sitting on the ground was Mav. She looked exhausted but from the looks of it, she seems to have won.

The shadow ninja was motionless on the ground. At the same time Mav's golden glow faded away as she went back to normal. She stood up and made her way over to the shadow ninja.

"Mr. Shadow, you are now under my command!" (Mav)

Heeding her call, the shadow ninja slipped into Mav's shadow becoming one with it.

After a brief smile Mav lost consciousness and collapsed on the ground.

There was a brief moment of silence before the tribe began cheering and offering applause and praise. I too was one of them. That Mav sure does have a lot of power.

But better yet, that was my first time seeing real magic! It was a glorious fight no less! I'm looking forward to what else this world has to offer!

Father walked over to the sleeping Mav and gently picked her up.

"A glorious fight worthy of praise for this little one! Hahaha, I expect great things from you!" (Epimir)

Father looked content as he handed Mav over to her parents, and then walked back to the middle.

"That was a terrific battle! Now that things have somewhat settled we will now begin the last ceremony. Now Dijmir, if you would please step to the crystal." (Epimir)

"Yes sir! I mean father...." (Dij)

Dammit, it's harder then I thought to stop saluting.

I walk over to the crystal and after a quick breath, place my hand on it. The crystals light wrapped around me and with it I could feel myself being wrapped in a warm blanket. This must be the feeling of magic! Or rather, mana. It feels like I could use it already but a transducer is needed for that.

As soon as I thought so, I felt a burning sensation on my back!

"Oh shit!" (Dij)

Before I could even turn around I found myself in a colorful circular space while feeling like I'm constantly falling.

"Fuck! Did that damn tattoo really turn into a portal!?"

That's right, the tattoo that's been on me since birth has changed into something. Ah, I guess I should have expected this. I mean, I was told from the beginning of what my requested power will do. I just kind of forgot about it after these five long years.

Haaaa... Do I really have to wait an entire day for this to wear off? Days are 40 hours for fucks sakes!

The damn portal turned into my damn body so it's not like I can take it off.

It's been several hours now so that weird feeling you get in your stomach has gone away. So now it feels like I'm just floating. I might as well take a little nap.
