I am now 5!

It's been a tough journey to this point despite my age. That's mostly due to father making me hunt some monsters on my own sometimes on our hunting trips. My first kill was a Yellow Morningstar. It's a yellow bear that's as agile as a cat and covered in spikes. It was over three meters big but father thought I could take care of it since in terms of difficulty it was only ranked an E with F being the lowest and SSS being the highest. I ended up luring it to a collapsing temple and made it cave in by making it attack certain structual supports. I was small enough to hide in a hole while father dug me out. Needless to say he was furious with my recklessness but it quickly turned into jubilation upon seeing the now dead Yellow Morningstar.

After that, father would let me handle monsters from time to time. I have to say it was a thrill! Demons sure do love to fight huh?

Since I'm five now, there will be a ceremony held today so that I could awaken my magic. I will be able to use regular magic after, but I'm really looking forward to using Blood Magic. It's ranked SSS in terms of rarity and power since you could potentially defeat anything that's alive once you've learned how to control it. It's just perfect for me since I actually studied medicine while I was in the military.

On a sad note, my sister Ceri will be leaving on her journey tomorrow. She's already 15 but she waited for me to turn five so that she could watch my awakening. She'll leave after that but she still doesn't want to tell me what her goal is. She asked me mine to which I simply replied 'to look around'.

Anyway, I should start getting ready.

After putting on my clothes for the day, I head down to the plaza of our village where the ceremony will be taking place.
