Hello everyone!
Sorry that I haven't been uploading chapters lately (since August), but the main reason for this is because I've been busy writing up a backlog of chapters on my Patreon. Currently, all my subscribers (paid) have access to the FULL first book and only my Tier 4 Patrons (20$/month) have access to the beginning chapter of Book Two. I've set up a writing goal of mine to attempt about 1,000 words per week until the book is completed (which is roughly 140k words long for the second book) as to not burn myself out of writing this story.
What most people do not realize about writing Lord of Creation or any story is that authors take their time to come up with their story's outline to get a rough idea on where it should go book by book (if it is in a series) or just how the entire book should be as a standalone. I'm personally not very talented in writing complex stories, but with over four years of drafting and dropping certain stories, I can say that Chaotic Reality is--essentially--the only true project I've enjoyed writing over the course of an entire year. Most of you who have read the story--or those who just bothered to read up to the currently released chapter on Royal Road--might realize that there's a LOT of plot holes or missing information.
This is intentional.
If you are like me--who enjoys reading and writing stories--you'd know that every story should grab the reader's attention right from the start. In the Prologue of the first book, it is meant to help set the stage for the entire story while introducing the male lead (not the main character of course). Not all stories should start with doom and gloom, but this one does promise on introducing this complex multiverse as best as it can.
Now, why are there some plotholes? Well, its meant to act as "loose threads" to tie back into in later books in this series. I can't just wrap up the entire story in one book now, can I?
This means that we will be seeing Earth, Altaron, and a whole lot more throughout our wild ride in Lord of Creation, but not all of it will be told in this project. If you have bothered to read the stuff in Cruxborne Legends, you'd know that I have plans on telling stories told in different viewpoints.
We still have Loxus Arelius' story to tell, Markus Reeves in Cruxborne Legends, and some other characters that have not yet been fully introduced. I plan on even telling Ethan Smith's story in another (future) project too considering that there is a lot more for me to do in my own multiverse setting (akin to the MCU or DC comics).
Did you know this text is from a different site? Read the official version to support the creator.

Going back into the plothole thing for a moment, I still haven't fully explained the Magic System in this series, have I?
Well, as is very standard for Gamelit/LitRPG stories, the magic here is easily quantified.
Wrath of the Storm Lord (introduced in the early chapters of Chaotic Reality) is a Storm spell--which is part of the Elemental schools of magic. Elemental magic relates to the three forms of elements: Fire, Ice, and Storm.
As for the spells (the schools and their sub-schools will be explained in the story), most spells in the Neophyte tier (aka Tier 1) do not hit above 100 points as a base. To put things in perspective (while also using a popular spell as reference), using the Killing Curse from the Wizarding World franchise would only deal about 100 points of damage to anyone with 10 Vitality. Any higher from 10 and the spell would not be able to kill them instantly.
A fully-grown adult [Human]--a Mortal Race under the classification of the Eternal System--has a full stat board of 10. This gives them 100 years' worth of lifespan as well as points of health to withstand any form of damage. Any spell from any school of magic has the capacity to be lethal based on the base points of damage plus whatever boosts/buffs the caster has applied.
As one levels up (or even trains) in this multiverse, they have the ability to evolve past the initial base of their races. With these growths, everyone--from the Mortal Races to the Elder Races--is capable of becoming far stronger, but with growths come dangers.
Higher levels of magic--or any form of combat really--has the ability to essentially deal greater amounts of damage with higher expenses. Magical spellwork gets more complex, melee combat starts etching into techniques with various weapons, and Ranged combat (aside from Magic) utilizes more powerful weapons.
Even the monsters people would face everyday--Human or otherwise--become more dangerous through their evolution. An example of this would be Xaradel's [Vil'thrum] race as introduced in the Prologue.
Essentially, the more resources you put into your stats/abilities, the more powerful they become.

To finish off this little side chapter, I'll announce that the remaining chapters of Book One will be going live on Royal Road throughout December 2023 and January 2024. In February 2024, I hope to start putting out Book Two's chapters onto Royal Road (after a sufficient backlog is built up).
I'm also hoping to have my story picked up by a publishing firm (that I trust) or end up going the route of self-pub. I hope you all do enjoy how Chaotic Reality will end and how the second book begins...
Thanks,
- Kyen Syr
