Chapter 36: Humiliation Returned (1)

When the portal shone, we found ourselves in a hot and burning room. In front of us is a narrow stone bridge without handrails connecting two cliffs, below us is a boiling hot lava.

I spotted the bleeding Keaton on the far left, on the other side of the cliff, no one even tried to heal him. I wanna explode in anger but a part of me understands the situation. The Wyvern continued its rampage, trying to be handled by Polestar and Valentine.

From the inventory, I took out a bag and pulled out a carpet this time. I get why Aladaine loves magic carpets. I told my knights and Theo to jump on and we flew across the bridge. From the distance, everyone is struggling to fend off for themselves, the huge Wyvern is in front of us- but none seemed to notice us yet. I will go for a surprise attack and go immediately to Keaton.

I made Selek control the carpet as we accelerated on speed to the Wyvern's back. When I was about to jump, the carpet suddenly moved, making me lose my balance and face-planted on the carpet. I glared at Selek.

"Ahh, I'm sorry, Master. It's my first time riding this thing" He said, raising both of his hands up.

Theo prepared his weapon, a new Bow I lent him. Drio and Efren draw out their new swords and prepare to jump down. I thought about charging in behind the Wyvern's head. So, I took out my explosive stones and threw it over its head.

"Explode" Five stones exploded making the Wyvern surprised by our sudden appearance. Ahh, not just the Wyvern but also-

"YOU! WHY ARE YOU HERE?!" Prince Polestar asked like he was seeing a ghost- shocked. The others were surprised too .

'…Speaking of a literal devil.'

"Why? Are you surprised?" I arrogantly asked, looking down on him.

Like a surfing board controlled by Selek, we rode the flying carpet while letting Theo shoot the Wyvern and while avoiding its fire breath. I saw how surprised the faces of those who laughed at me before- Polestar was outraged. And that made him do an idiotic decision, he charged in without thinking.

"THAT FUCKING BASTARD! LOOK OUT!" I snatched the handle from Selek and immediately flew downward to stop Polestar, when I noticed the Wyvern's wing was ready to hit him…

"YOUR HIGHNESS!" Sir Devon shouted and ran after him to stop him- none of us reached him and like in slow motion, Polestar's body flew away after being hit. He was about to fall into the boiling lava, when I caught him with the carpet.

I huffed in disbelief. "You're too idiot for a Prince! You know that?!"

*COUGH* *COUGH*

Polestar was coughing blood. I didn't bother to be gentle to him so I shove the Type SSS healing potion in his mouth.

Selek landed us on the ground and Drio while Efren went down to fight alongside the others. Theo didn't go down, and remained there with Polestar's wounded body.

I ran towards Keaton's side as soon as possible. My hands trembling at the sight of him. There's a large hole in his abdomen, and on the ground where he lay he already has a pool of his blood. It was only a matter of time before he died due to blood loss and organ failure. I slowly poured the potion on his mouth and whispered to him to swallow it. He's trying to maintain his breathing. It was really slow but his heartbeat was fast.

My gloves got soaked in his blood, my germaphobe didn't attack because of this situation. I removed my gloves and threw them but it was now my bare hands that got soaked in blood… my head hurt just like before and the flash of images started again.

"Don't die, please please hold on." I cried when the image of little hands covered in blood overlapped my bloody hands in my vision. "Ack! I'll save you no matter what-"

I held my head and tried to smack it. This isn't me. This isn't my emotion. Just what happened to the original Tania to experience something like this? I'm certain that this is hers, am I starting to unlock her memories? But fucking hell! It hurts like shit! Do I need to undergo this hell every time I get a portion of her memories?!

When my pain subsided, I rechecked Keaton's body and surprisingly, he's near a complete recovery. Both Polestar and Keaton are unconscious so I put them inside the healing knapsack I brought with me. They will focus on recovery with it.

For the second time in my life, in this world I'm in, this is also the second time I disregarded my OCD for the sake of survival. With my bloody hands, I ran once again to the carpet with the healing knapsack. I entrusted it to Theo while he controlled the carpet, we flew facing the Wyvern and avoided all its fire breath…

Sir Devon and sir Valentine's knights, charge and stab the Wyvern on the lower body while dealing with it's spiky feet. While Yoren deals with the tiger using Amelia's divine beasts with several knights joining forces. Jullian and Venter took charge for commanding Polestar's and Keaton's platoons.

I dealt with the fire breathing, and wings of the Wyvern. I took the reins from Theo and assigned him to target the face, especially its eyes for a moment.

*GRAAAAA!*

"It's done Captain!" Theo announced and took over the reins.

"Come forth the flame: Fire!"

I pointed the crystal on its face, the force was enough for him to step back a little. It jerked in pain and breathed fire everywhere just like before. Swinging its wings everywhere, making the fighters down there get caught up. I ready my water stone and aimed for its throat.

"Come forth the falls: Water!"

A strong blast of water gust towards its face and throat and it kept up for 15 seconds. I can feel my immature muscle fibers ripping on my shoulders to stand the force.

When the water stopped the orange glowing throat of the Wyvern disappeared- this is my cue. I jumped from the carpet to Wyvern's throat, stabbing it with all my strength, I slid down after and drew a line that opened its belly. The Wyvern roared, making the area shake like there's an aftershock from the earthquake earlier. The Wyvern flapped its wings and it made me and the fighters with me fly by the forced wind and rolled on the ground.

"Look! The ground under the Wyvern is collapsing!" One knight said, pointing at the feet of the Wyvern. Then it fell on the boiling lava.

"STEP BACK EVERYONE!" Sir Devon yelled when the cracks trailed down to where we were. All of us ran away. The carpet flew beside me with Theo and the healing knapsack on it.

"Hop on Captain!" Theo offered his one hand and I accepted it. This carpet is adjustable, it can hold up to a thousand people at its maximum.

I put my hand on the carpet, "Expand."

The carpet became wide enough for everyone, I told Theo to get close to the running knights. Sir Valentine and Sir Devon, first pass by.

"Come on! Hop on now" I reached out my hand and helped them up, when they got on, they also helped others to get on, while other knights who had enough energy to run jumped on on their own.

Same goes to Commander Treso. We managed to help them up and leave no one behind before the ground collapsed. Theo seemed to be having a hard time controlling the carpet, so we crashed to the next ground where it hadn't collapsed yet. We rolled down and crashed.

I ran without minding that pain on my shoulder. The tiger is about to give birth! But the twin tailed-tiger can't live long at its current state.

"STOP!" I yelled and blocked myself to the incoming blow from the spirit beasts, they stopped.

"What the hell…? Get out of the way!" Yoren shouted, surprised.

'I won't! you son of a bitch!'

"NO! It's already weakened! Why must we kill it?!"

*moans in pain*

My heart leaped when it moaned in pain, it's on labor.

"It will only attack us again if we leave it!" He argued, "Get out of the way!"

I shook my head and I saw the knights behind him coming. Only Efren, Drio, Selek and Theo knew why I was protecting it. Amelia has a serious face watching me at the back, the others are clueless.

"No! It's giving birth- we must wait." I firmly said and the bystanders curiously murmured to each other.

Why aren't they saying anything?! Did they also want the Tiger to die?! I don't understand, Dearby said it was a divine beast so it's worth protecting!

Divine beasts are above Spirit beasts when it comes to magic and strength. Unlike the Spirit beast that came from the Spirit world, the Divine beast came from Georana's nature, hidden away. They are sometimes the guardian of nature, spring, fall, summer and winter. It's because their powers came from nature itself that it is the purest mana in this world.

They are more superior and stronger than Spirit Beast, as of now, none of them knows the value of Divine Beasts aside from that Lady at the back, who only studied and researched all her life about summoning it and me, who have read the book.

I look at the cloaked Amelia standing far from Yoren. I know she also wanted to save it, it was a divine beast after all.
