We walked to the cafeteria and occupied an empty after collecting our lunch.

" Since the introduction's out of the way, why don't we get familiar with each other's abilities? I'll go first, since I'm a Poseidon blessed, I can create and control water and I can talk to aquatic creatures although extremely limited" Mia spoke after we were comfortably sitting down with our food.

"I was chosen by Prometheus, so I have the ability to manipulate flames / fire in any way I like" Blaze said, creating various shapes with the small flame he created above his palm.

"Umm, I can shape destruction into any form and use it to attack or defend. I can create arrows or shields that can destroy anything it touches or that touches it" Amara said.

'Is that how she actually speaks or is she just that timid?' I couldn't help but think.

"I, the great Huo Jun, can create clones that of myself. I can also summarize Jingu Bang for now " he summoned Ruyi Jingu Bang (the monkey King's staff or at least a look alike).

It was finally my turn to speak.

"I'm blessed by Thanatos. I can create constructs from shadows and I can also hide myself and others in the shadows which makes me impossible to be detected " I said.

With the introductions of our powers done Jun suggested we moved to the combat room to have a little spar to familiarize with the teams abilities.

"While that's a good idea, the test is barely a day away and we don't want to tire ourselves out before facing the monsters " Blaze said turning down Jun's idea.

"B-but we have to know what the other is capable of so we can create efficient plans " Amara spoke up making her point.

"How about this, we can just do quick demonstrations of our abilities" I suggested and to my surprise, they agreed.

We moved to the combat room in which everyone demonstated what they could do.

Like she said, Amara could shape destruction into anything she wished just like my shadow constructs and whatever those constructs she created touched, it would be completely erased. But the draw back of her ability was that she can only create so much constructs before she runs out of mana.

Jun on the other hand could create clones identical to him by ripping off a few strands of his hair. The clones are just as powerful as Jun and they each also have their own Jingu Bang. As for the staff, Jun can make it extend, shrink, heavy or as light as he wants it.

I thought most of Blaze's skills were already known to me,but apparently he can coat parts of or his entire body with flames, create exploding flame clones identical to him and also create flame constructs.

Finally, Mia. She could create water constructs and create a water bubble that's almost impenetrable.

With the demonstrations done and a leader chosen (Blaze, since he was more experienced than us). We called it a day and decided to rest up for the exams.

The sun was hardly even up and we were currently standing in a huge room, a few meters ahead was portals glowing blue. This was the controlled portal room.

My only doubt was, how the hell did they move them all in this room, there was like ten of those things in the room.

"Alright, I hope you're all ready to jump right in?" Michael asked beaming but before the students could reply, another group of students led by a lady (who I'll assume is their teacher) walked in.

Some of the students from my class looked a bit annoyed, even abit aggressive. I turned to look at Michael but unlike the students his expression looked mostly normal save for the constant twitching of his lips.

I turned to look at the lady and her students again. The lady looked pretty young (maybe around her mid twenties?), she had raven black hair and eyes. She had a beautiful face and the structure to match.

"Michael, I didn't expect to meet you here. I thought your class would give up on the test since it might get too dangerous for them" she mocked as soon as she arrived close to us, I think these two have some sort pf beef.

"My class would do just fine Luna, yours on the other hand look greatly under prepared" Michael replied not wanting to stand down. I could've sworn I saw sparks flying between them.

Before the banter/ mocking could go on any longer, a voice spoke causing us to turn to the entrance.

"Great, you're all here" Kyra said walking towards us. The memory of the pressure she (Nyx) exerted on me the last time surface and it gave me goosebumps.

"Since you all look prepared to enter, I'll just give you a quick rundown of what you need to know" Kyra spoke again looking at every one of the students gathering here.

"As you already know, you'll be entering the portals in teams of five. Each portal will be occupied by a single team and the choice will be random" she paused and looked at us again. This time, I felt her gaze linger on me a bit longer than it did the others.

"In these portals, you will encounter monster which, although relatively not dangerous, can kill you if you don't take them seriously " I shivered a bit hearing her words.

She was right, we would be facing actual dangerous monsters who could potentially kill us and I already experienced death once, I'm not looking to go back anytime soon.

"Each team will be given a 'give up' button. Pressing that will allow your teachers to know you're in danger and rescue you but that also means you forfeit the test, only the points gained befor that will be counted" she concluded and her assistant, Abel who I didn't even notice, was the one who gave each team leader the 'give up' button.

"Good luck to you all and Don't be prideful enough not to call for help when you need it" she said with a smile and turned around to leave.

"Alright, you've heard mostly everything from her. Work together as the team you are and pass the test with flying colors. Good luck" Michael said to us as each team prepared to enter their assigned portal.

I couldn't help but feel nervous. I've always seen portals for TV or from afar but never really got close to one.

But today, I'll enter one and even get to fight monsters within.

I sighed a little and walked together with my team to enter the portal.
