I woke up the next day feeling sore all over, the spar must have done a number on me. I took a shower, dressed in the Academy's uniform and went down to the cafeteria for breakfast.
It took me only a few minutes to get to the cafeteria and ordered my breakfast. I looked around for an empty table and spotted Mia sitting with Blaze.
'I probably shouldn't disturb Blaze's moment with her' I thought but before I could turn back, I heard Mia's voice.
"Hey Alex, come sit with us" She raised her hand signalling me towards them. Blaze didn't seem to mind so I could only sigh and move towards them with my plate.
"Were you trying to avoid us Alex" Mia asked as soon as I sat down.
"No, I just thought I shouldn't interrupt you guys' moment" I simply replied.
"I-It's nothing like that, we were just chatting" Mia said her face covered in blush.
"So whose class are you in?" Blaze asked looking to change the topic to help Mia, although he had a smile on his face.
"I think it's Michael's class ?" I replied sounding unsure. Although Kyra mentioned that I would be in Michael's class, I wasn't sure of it.
"You're not sure? Isn't it supposed to be on your class schedule?" Mia asked causing me to slap my forehead. While heading here in a hurry, I had somehow forgotten my class schedule back in the dorms.
"I-i forgot it at the dorm" I replied feeling embarrassed.
"It's fine, we can just go back and take it befo—" Blaze was interrupted by the sound of the bell.
"Before that happens" he said with a sigh.
"It's fine, I'll just go to Michael's class for now, maybe he might know the class I'm supposed to be in. Can you guys point me in the direction of his class" I asked them.
"Lucky you, we're in Michael's class so we'll lead the way" Mia said and then turned around heading to the class.

"Wait doesn't Michael teach the first years?" I asked confused.
"Yes he does" Mia replied.
"Aren't you two seniors?" I asked again still confused.
They looked at each other and laughed, which made me feel a little embarrassed.
"No Alex, we're first years just like you. I started attending a few months back when I turned 17 and flame boy tagged along. He's 19 by the way" Mia cleared my confusion with a smile.
"You're 19? Why didn't you start attending at 18?" I asked Blaze.
"I was waiting for her, I wanted us to be in the same year. Plus it'll be easier to get her to fall for me if we're together all the time" he replied causing Mia to blush again (Is this guy deliberately spewing stuff to annoy me as a single guy?)
"L-let's hurry up and get to class or we'll be late" Mia quickly spoke and increased her speed.
----
When we arrived at Michael's class, I decided to stand outside since it'll be awkward to just go in and sit down without his permission (also considering this might not be the right classroom).
Mia and Blaze walked inside, because apparently Michael appreciated his students being seated before he arrives.
A couple of minutes later, I saw Michael walking towards me with one hand in his pocket and the other playing with his phone. (Seriously, this dude should've just been a model instead of a teacher/ hero).
He looked up from his phone when he arrived close enough to me and placed it in his pocket.
"Alex, why are you just standing out here" he asked with a raised brow.
"Umm, I kinda forgot my class schedule at the dorm, the bell rang before I could retrieve it and I don't know which class I'm supposed to be in. I was hoping you'd help" I replied to him.
"Ah I see, don't worry you're supposed to be in my class. Let's go in and I'll introduce you" he said and walked past me heading into the classroom.
As soon as I walked in, just like with the combat room I was surprised yet again. The classroom looked like what people of the olden days would call a sci-fi classroom. Every desk had a hologram floating in front of it and a tablet laying on it.
"This is Alex, a new student" Pulling me from my thoughts, I heard Michael speaking.
"Go ahead and introduce yourself Alex" he turned to me with an encouraging smile. I stepped forward and faced the class, spotting Mia (who was giving me a thumbs up) and Blaze (who was sitting next to her) in the middle row.
"I'm Alex. I hope we get along" I awkwardly introduced myself.
{That's terrible Alex. We gotta keep the word count up and you giving such an intro is not helping}
(Cut me some slack will you, this is the first time I'm doing something like this)
"Alright Alex there's an empty seat by Hou Jun, you can seat there" he said pointing towards an Asian looking boy.
"Hi, I'm Huo Jun but you can call me Jun, blessed by the great sage equal to heaven, Sun wukong" my seat mate introduced himself as soon as I sat down.
'Oh, he's blessed by monkey King. No wonder he looks like that' I thought.
{That could be taken the wrong way}
(Then shut up and allow me to clarify)
Jun had hair growing at the sides of his face, just like arts I've seen of Sun wukong and his arms also looked a bit hairy. His voice also had a squeaky pitch (does that make sense?) to it.
"Hi, I'm Alex. Blessed by Thanatos" I replied and then turned to the digital board where Michael was standing.
"I've decided, you shall be this great sage's sidekick" he stated in a way that sounded like it would be a total honor for me to be his sidekick.
"No" I quickly denied the offer.
"O-okay then my assistant" he reoffered.
"No" Again, I rejected.
"W-well how about this, let's fight. If you win I'll be your assistant/sidekick and if you win you'll be my f-f—sidekick" he was really persistent.
" We don't have to fight to be friends y'know" I turned back to him since Michael was just sorting out what he's supposed to teach (lazy much??).
"Since you insist, I'll allow you to be friends with this great sage equal of heaven" he quickly said but I could see the happiness on his face which made me think 'Am I this guy's first friend?'..
"But we should still spar to see who's stronger" he said again, making me mentally facepalm.
