Chapter 68-The sinister ladies

Chapter 68-The sinister ladies

The last few days were kind of boring for Aella, there was not much she could do in the settlement so instead she chose to experiment with her curses. So most of the day for her consisted of, eating, going for a walk a little bit, and then she experimented with her curses until she went to sleep.

She did go out of settlement a few times so that she could experiment on live targets, but nothing much else. Fortunately while experimenting she did find out a few new things about her new curse, and today she was ready to do some more experimenting but she got summoned, and she couldn't be happier, because now she might have some fun.

When Aella arrived she was greeted by a smoke screen, that slowly started to clear up. She wanted to make an impression, so before the smoke fully cleared up, Aella looked straight at the silhouette that was right before her and did her thing.

''Hello, how may I help you?'' Aella's voice rang out from the black smoke, and after a moment she put one hand behind her and the other one in front of her heart and then bowed down.

For some reason, Aella had decided to try and imitate a butler, with the hopes that it would leave a greater impression on the summoner than if she just stood there, and by the looks of it she was right. Right before the smoke cleared fully Aella got back to her normal pose and started to take in her surroundings.

The first thing she assisted was the one she summoned. The lady looked refined, with her sleek dress and long hair that was styled into a bun, she had some age to her, but that didn't take away from her beauty, if anything the youth was replaced by elegant maturity. Aella was stunned for a second when she laid her eyes on her summoner because the woman standing right before her was truly charming.

But it looked like Aella wasn't the only one who was stunned, the lady hasn't said a thing and just stood there, with her eyes a little bit wide, probably from surprise. Aella wasn't in a hurry to talk and make things move, so while the lady didn't say anything Aella took her time to look around.

While Aella took her time to look around she didn't find anything interesting, because, by the looks of it, she was summoned to an office, that probably belonged to this woman. The office was more decorated than your average office, but it wasn't anything too grand or over the top, and it had a comfortable feel to it.

All this time while Aella took in the surroundings the lady who summoned her didn't say anything, and even when Aella finished and turned her attention fully to the lady, there still was silence.

''Hello?'' Aella was starting to get a little concerned, thinking that something happened to the woman, so she broke the silence in hopes that the lady would react, and fortunately, she did.

''Oh my, I apologize, something had come over me.'' The lady finally responded. ''I was just a little surprised and happy that I actually succeded in summoning you, you can call me madam.'' The madam introduced herself to Aella, with now neutral tone.

''Pleasure to meet you, I'm Aella.'' Aella gave a quick bow as she introduced herself. ''So what is the occasion for my summoning?'' After getting up from her bow, Aella asked for the task she will have to do this time.

''Someone injured one of my girls quite severely, and I would like you to kill him.'' Aella could see some glint of sadness in the madam's eyes as she mentioned that someone was injured. ''If possible I would like to make his death as miserable and embarrassing as possible, and I hope you can make it so that the family name gets some dirt on it on the way.'' When madam started to mention how she wanted the death to be, Aella saw that her face transformed from sorrow to anger.

''Very well, I can do that but it will take some time.'' Aella will have to plan a little bit, but she is confident she can pull this off. ''Is there anything else?'' She had to make sure that there was nothing that madam wasn't forgetting.

''Yes, don't let them know that you're summoned by me, because I don't want to pull the people I'm responsible for into this mess.'' When madam said this she had a serious look on her.

''I can do that.'' Not reviling her identity might slow down the process but it's not impossible. The only thing Aella needed now, was to know who was her target.

''So can you tell me more about my target?'' Madam was the one who summoned her, so Aella was sure that she had plenty of information on the one Aella had to kill.

''Yes, the one I want you to kill is Eric Goldhand.'' Madam started to move to her office desk as she described the target. ''He is a young male in his twenties, has blond hair and blue eyes, and has an ego bigger than the mountains.'' Madam sat on the desk and continued to give Aella the needed information.

''Eric is an active man, you can constantly find him in bars, casinos, and brothels. If something doesn't go his way he will cause a disturbance and go on a tantrum.'' When madam said the last line she looked at the office door that led to the rest of the building. ''The only reason he hasn't been apprehended or found dead in some ditch is because of his family.''

''You mean Goldhands?'' There was a pause so Aella crept in, and asked her questions. ''I have to say an interesting family name.''

''Yes, the Goldhands.'' Madam looked into Aella's eyes as she answered. ''They are a powerful merchant family, they have enough money to buy their way out of many situations, and as for their family name, it's said that they changed it when they got rich for some reason, and now their previous name has been lost and forgotten.''

''So they basically are a big family with a lot of money, and because they have a lot of money they can get scot-free from most situations.'' And Eric was an arrogant asshole that did whatever he wanted because he knew that his family will protect him no matter what.

''Yes, and if someone goes against them, they can easily make you disappear, so that's the reason I don't want them to know I'm the one who ordered you to kill Eric.'' There was calm anger behind madam's eyes as she explained things to Aella.

''I see, well it's possible but it will take some time, so I hope you are ready for some wait.'' Aella wasn't even too sure where to start, she had some ideas but not a concrete plan, and by the looks of this operation could take days, maybe weeks, or even months if she wanted to clear all the conditions.

''I don't mind, as long as it's completed, you can take as long as you need.'' Madam was ready to wait, all she wanted was for Eric to die in a humiliating way, and as long as he died in her lifetime, madam will be satisfied.

''Now, what about the reward.'' Aella got to the business part of things. ''I presume it will be given to me after I complete my side of things.''

''Yes, and the reward will be measured by your performance, the better you do the better will be your reward.'' When talking about the reward madam format a smirk as she talked.

''Understandable.'' Aella couldn't help but smile, it was a nice trick to make Aella perform better by her own will, because who didn't like a better reward. So if she performed badly her reward would be bad too, but if she performed good the reward will reflect that. Aella had to admit that the madam was a fox in her own right.

''Well then, I will get started.'' Aella got ready to leave and start figuring out how she will do this.

''I hope to hear about your success.'' Madam gave a small smile as she let Aella leave.
