Jewels bit into the monster's legs as she and her master battled against the creature for dominance. The said beast then swung its paw to the side, whacking Jewels and sending her flying towards the pillar.
“Jewels!” Mimosa screamed, worried. The familiar slowly got up, a whine leaving her mouth as the pain in her paw became intense.
“I’m fine.” She replied, wincing. Mimosa nodded before looking back at the monster. Mimosa twirled her scythe around and glared at Tibius.
“I’ll have you pay for what you did to Jewels!” She screamed. The young woman sprinted forward and began striking her bladed weapon at the monster. It cut into parts of its body, cutting and slicing the flesh. Tibius howled and wailed before swinging its tail and hitting Mimosa.
She was sent flying towards the pillar, her back hitting the stone object with a crushing thud. Kyra couldn’t help but almost spring into action.
“Stay back!” Mimosa called out. “I’m completely fine,” she added. Kyra didn’t look convinced, but she paused nonetheless. Mimosa began thinking of ways to kill the beast, and her pink eyes gleamed when she thought of the best way.
Her scythe turned back into a staff, and she jumped in the air, flying towards the beast. Once she was before the monster, she immediately began yelling again.
“Star Bow!” Mimosa yelled as she flew across the air upside down. A medium-sized white bow with a pink heart insignia etched onto it appeared in her hand. A pink, starry arrow appeared next, attaching itself to the bow, ready for it to be launched.
All she needed was to kill heinous creatures, and twenty thousand beautiful XP would be waiting for her to collect. Her eyes then travelled to Kyra and Gabriel, who were standing next to each other by the large door.
"Wouldn't it hurt me to share the prize with them as well?” She thought, letting out a giggle. The monster roared, sending shockwaves towards her. This, however, never caused Mimosa to budge.
Instead, she released the arrow with haste, and the entire room watched as the grizzly being was pierced through the head and bustered into tiny little star dusts.

‘So that’s what it’s called. And it’s weak, just like its master.’
Mimosa vanished, leaving nothing but an aftershadow behind. Kyra couldn’t keep up as Mimosa moved around the room at lightning speed. It was like the woman was never injured. Mimosa was utilising her maximum strength.
Jewels turned back into a phoenix and flew up to Mimosa. The mage landed on her familiar, and they began their assault on the timgons.
Other than stabbing right through the heart to kill a timgon, you can fire at their heads. The soft tissue on the crown of their heads acts as a second heart, and one strike through it is enough to kill them.
Mimosa laughed maniacally as she rained magical arrows down on the timgons, finishing what the jewels started. The timgon that could control their blood and chain ran forward, ready to mess with Mimosa. However, Kyra was quicker.
She sprinted forward and materialised her sword before skillfully driving the blade through the timgons heart. She watched as the creature slowly became skin and bones before turning to dust and leaving nothing but her heart behind.
The blackish-red organ stared at Kyra as she slowly reached for it. Once the cold thing was in her hand, she had her system scan it.

Kyra stared at her screen and let out a laugh of surprise. She then looked up and noticed that Mimosa had taken care of all the timgons. The further she looked around, however, she noticed the retreating silhouette of the mayor.
“The wench is leaving through a back door; let’s go after her!” Kyra exclaimed. Jewels flew down, Mimosa got off her, and she turned into a small bird.
Gabriel finally reached the rest of the team, and the group sprinted into action, chasing after the grey-skinned woman. They entered a candlelit tunnel, ran down the narrow hall, turned into a sharp corner, and entered another hall. This time the place was circular, with blue lighting covering most of the space.
A single waterfall stood before them, as did the mayor. The dishevelled, undead creature slowly turned around, her eyes wide and crazed. Kyra almost took a step back.
“Why did you come and ruin what me and my people had going for us?!” Magnolia screamed as she got more erratic by the minute.
Mimosa and Gabriel looked at each other, and the prince opened his mouth to speak.
“We didn’t do anything. You simply miscalculated your steps and decided to mess with the wrong ones. Plus, what gives you the right to do what you did to the people of this town?” He stated.
Magnolia growled.
“You do not know how the timgons are treated in the world of both the supernatural and the undead. We’re seen as less than. We get the scraps; we are never allowed to make decisions within the world of the supernatural. Do you think we deserve that sort of treatment, all because we feed on souls?” She complained.
Gabriel and Mimosa pitied her, and they did. On the other hand, it entered one ear for Kyra and out the other.
“Still doesn’t give you right now, does it?” Kyra rebutted, placing her hands on her hips. The mayor was this close to exploding with anger.
“Dark Orb.” She spat, placing her hands over each other to create a dark circular current of magic. The atmosphere around them shifted and, for some reason, became dense.
The trio and Jewels readied themselves. The orb in Magnolia grew larger and larger. Comically large.
“Do you think she is?" Gabriel and Mimosa asked.
“Yep.” Kyra replied
The orb became far too big for Magnolia to control, and the group watched as the spell swallowed the mayor, consuming both her life force and body. The group placed their arms up, blocking the dust and wind from their eyes.
Once everything settled down, Kyra looked down at the heart that remained and pushed Gabriel towards it.
“Me and Mimosa had our fair share of hearts; you can have that one.” She stated. The lilac-eyed man looked at the girl and grinned.
“Thanks!” He said. He then walked over to the heart and scanned. It added little to nothing to his already maxed-out system, but at least he had a timgon heart.
At long last, the soul-snatching saga had come to an end.
