Chapter twelve Shinso

“Thanks for allowing us to go, even if y’all are coming with us, it made Y/N really happy, she’s been struggling since yesterday, I’m not sure if y’all have noticed.” I tell them, as I continue eating my soup.

"We've noticed, " dad says, as he also continues to eat.

"Y/N's ok though, right?" Eri asks, softly.

"Of course she is, " I say, reassuring Eri. She nods and smiles as she goes back to eating.

"I wonder why Y/N ran up to her room so fast after y'all said yes, you think we should check on her?" I ask, dad and papa.

"I'm sure she's fine, " papa says, smiling. "

"I hope so… I worry for her… " I sigh.

"Yea… So do we." My dad says, sighing.

“Do we know exactly what happened to her when she was with Dabi?” I ask, wanting to connect all the pieces.

“No...we don’t, she won’t tell us, she just claims that she’s fine,” papa sighs/

“Oh…” I mutter, as I finish eating. I get up and put my bowl in the sink since it’s dad’s turn to do dishes and went to my room. I’m pretty sure the other three went to bed after they finished eating so I just fell asleep, not having anything else to do.

The next morning, I woke up early and got dressed since it was my turn to cook breakfast. I only plan on making enough for four since Y/N doesn’t eat in the mornings, plus she hates most breakfast food.

I went down and started making bacon and eggs. “I wonder how happy she’ll be once she sees Kirishima again…” I mutter to myself as I crack the eggs into the pan. “I bet Denki will love Eri as well,” I chuckle to myself as I grab the bacon out of the freezer and put it in a sink of hot water to defrost it.

While I waited on the eggs to cook and for the bacon to defrost, I sat down at the table, thinking about the good ole times with Denki. We always had so much fun together, I didn’t realize how I felt about him until he was gone...I can’t wait to see him again tomorrow, even if he is a candle at the moment. I smiled as I got up to put the bacon in a separate pan to cook, and flip the eggs. I was really excited. After the bacon and eggs finished I put out plates for everyone and decided to wait on them to wake up. I grabbed my scarf and made my way outside to train.

I began to practice with my scarf by grabbing tree branches to help myself get from point A to point B faster. As I did that, I practiced talking. I know that sounds crazy, but I need to get better at speaking while running, and not getting out of breath. I did this for about an hour straight when I heard everyone walk downstairs.

I made my way inside and told them breakfast was on the table, and that I was gonna go take a shower. As I walked to the bathroom, I saw Y/N coming out of her room. “Hey Y/N!” I exclaim, smiling.

“Hey!” Y/N says, seeming like she’s in a better mood this morning.

“You seem happy, are you excited to see your ‘friend’? I ask, emphasizing the word friend. Y/N blushed and didn’t answer, as she ran downstairs. I chuckled and continued making my way to the bathroom to shower.

When I got to the bathroom, I undressed and got in the shower, turning on the hot water, I smiled to myself. The hot water felt really nice on my body as I let myself rejoice in the water. I lathered up my hair in shampoo and closed my eyes as I rinsed it out. I then repeated these same steps with the conditioner and washed my body. After I finished with my body, I got out of the shower and dried off.

I got dressed in new clothes and went downstairs to see everyone had already finished eating and was watching TV. I made my way to the kitchen to eat before we headed out. As I sat down and ate, I realized I was nervous to see Denki again. I know I saw him a few days ago, but that was just a quick few minutes. I just needed to know if Y/N was there, but this...this would be all day.

I finished eating and made my way to the living room, “y’all ready?”

“Yea, let’s go!” Y/N says, jumping up. We all smiled and nodded, making our way out the front door, dad carrying Eri while holding papa’s hand, Y/N walked in front of everyone since she knew they way to the castle, and I walked behind them, with my hands in my pockets, staring off into the distance.

“You ok bud?” I hear papa ask. I look at him and nod, looking back off into the distance as we walk.

It was almost an hour later when Y/N stopped, “we’re here!” She exclaims, as she runs up to the door, knocking. The person who opened the door surprised everyone.
