Chapter eight Kirishima

I was laying on my bed, since I didn’t have anything better to do when Denki and Bakugo knocked on the door. “Come in,” I mumble, not really having the energy to speak clearly. The two of them walk in wearing sour faces and I sit up, frowning. “Those faces aren’t manly, what’s wrong?”

“You’re not gonna like what we have to tell you,” Bakugo sighs.

“What happened?” I ask, still frowning.

“Y/N has most likely been taken, but someone went to save her, we aren’t exactly sure who he is through,” Bakugo says.

“His names Hitoshi, Shinsohe’s a good guy, you can trust him,” Denki says, confidently.

“So you know him?” I ask, curiously.

“Yes, before we got cursed when I would go into town I would randomly see him and we became best friends, and eventually I developed a crush on him, although I don’t think he returns the feelings through.”

“Oh really? Wow Denki, that’s so manly!” I exclaim, grinning. “Do you know his relation to Y/N?” I ask, leaning forward.

“Unfortunately I do not,” Denki says.

I nod, “so tell me more about this Shinso character,” I say, grinning, also wanting to keep my mind off Y/N.

“Oh um…” he trails off blushing, “he’s really nice but rarely smiles. He’s really handsome and super strong! He never gives up, he keeps on going till he succeeds.” Denki began to ramble, sounding like Midoriya.

I chuckle and smile, it made me happy, it made me feel good to see Denki so happy, I then look at Bakugo, “what about you?”

“What about me?” Bakugo asks, raising a brow.

I sigh, he might be smart, but he sure can be dense sometimes, “do you have anyone you like?”

Bakugo blushes and covers his face, “n-no.”

I raise a brow, smirking, “did the mighty Katsuki Bakugo blush and stutter?”

“Hell no!” He growls, and I chuckle, shaking my head.

“Come on, tell us who it is. I can tell you’re lying.”

Bakugo sighs in defeat, “fine but if either of you tells anyone, you’re dead!” He clears his throat, “it’s Jiro.”

Denki and I blink, “wait really?” I ask, surprised.

He blushes harder and nods, “yea, just don’t tell anyone.”

I chuckle, “don’t worry we won’t.” After the conversation ended, my mind wandered back to Y/N. I really hoped she was ok.

I wanted to help find her, but I’m afraid the people would attack me if they saw me. They might even think I’m trying to double kidnap her, or whatever it would be called. Denki and Bakugo left to go do something, so I decided to take a walk to the West Wing to check on the rose. As I walked, I looked at the paintings on the wall. I stopped at a painting of me and my parents, smiling softly, I sighed, I missed my parents greatly. Right now they were on a ship going to visit the Midorya’s, trying to help support Deku’s mom during this time of hardship with what Deku did.

Unfortunately, my parents have been gone for the last four months, and it doesn’t take that long to get to the Midorya’s. I then looked at the painting right beside it. The painting was of the Bakusquad which consisted of me, Bakugo, Denki, and Jiro. We used to have another member named Sero but he sadly passed away a few years back due to cancer, I looked down remembering all the fun we had together, I missed him terribly.

I shook my head and continued walking down towards the West Wing. After about five more minutes of walking, I arrived at my destination. I took a deep breath, opened the door, and walked in. I sat down in my favorite armchair looking out the window, watching the scenery. I was a little afraid to look at the rose, I didn’t want to know how little time I had left.

Sighing, I stood up, knowing it wasn’t manly to be scared, I started to sing my fears away, because y’know singing is manly. After I finished singing away my fear, I sat back down, glancing at the rose. Taking a deep breath, I slowly grabbed the rose, placing it in my lap, and pulling off the glass case, setting it down on the inn table. I watched helplessly as a petal fell, I looked down in defeat as there were only two petals left, I’m running out of time.

I growled and stood up throwing the armchair at the wall. My vision went blurry as I went into a frenzy throwing and destroying random shit, I accidently dropped the rose, I forgot I was holding it. My eyes widened and I froze watching the rose fall in slow motion. If it broke, all the petals would fall off and me and my friends would be stuck like this forever! Snapping out of my daze, I jumped for the rose, knowing I couldn’t do that to my friends.

I successfully grabbed the rose but the glass case slipped off, causing it to shatter, “fuck!” I mumble, as I carefully place the rose down on the inn table.Without the case, it can be more easily damaged. As I stood there pondering what to do, an idea came to mind. I could ask Momo to make a new case for me! First, I’ll need someone to watch the rose for me. I couldn’t ask the Bakusquad because they’re way too rowdy…

I finally decided to ask Iida, knowing he would take this seriously, I picked up the rose, not wanting to leave it unattended without the case, and went to go find Iida. A lot of my friends gasped when they saw me carrying the rose without the case, they knew I took the rose situation very seriously. They asked me a bunch of questions about why the rose was out of its case , but I just ignored them, heading over to where Iida normally hangs out, with the Deku-squad.

The Deku-squad consisted of Momo, and Iida. There used to be more members but, Tsu sadly passed away about two years ago, due to her getting hypothermia during a harsh winter. Uruaka left to live in the village, claiming she needed to help her parents with money she saved from working for me. Deku… well he's a different story… he unfortunately switched over to the villian side claiming he is in love with an insane blond chick with space buns.

Me and all the others missed Sero, Tsu, Uruaka, and Deku a lot. I shook my head not wanting to think about that right now, and continued running. Once I found Iida, what I saw surprised me, instead of him hanging with Momo like normal. He was at his usual spot by a window with Mina! A feather duster and a wardrobe seemed like a good couple, although I hoped I could find love and break the curse before the last two petals fell off the rose that I’m holding.

I shook my head, going over to Iida, knowing I didn’t have time for such thoughts...I swear I’ve been hanging out with Mina too much, I’m starting to ship people! I groan, shaking my head again. I get distracted way too easily. “Hey Iida!” I call out, walking over to him.

“Hey Kiri, what’s up?” He asks, and I smile, glad he didn’t call me master, I hated when the others called me master.

“I have a very important job for you,” I tell him, bringing the rose into view. “I need you too guard this with your life, while I get Momo to make a new case for it.”

Iida frowned, “why? What happened to the original case?”

I started laughing, nervously and quickly ran off, not answering his question. I ran until I heard music being played. Knowing it was piano music, I instantly knew it was Momo. I grinned, walking over to her, “Hey Momo!”

Momo stopped playing her music and looked up, “what’s up?”

“Are you still able to use your quirk?”

“Yea, but it takes longer than usual, why?”

“I need you to make me a glass case to go over the rose, please!”

Momo nods, “I will, but what happened to the original?”

I bite my lip, “uh don’t worry about it!”

Momo blinks, “uh ok then, I’ll make a case for you then,” she shrugs.

I sigh in relief, “thanks.” She just nods, playing soft piano music. About ten minutes later she looks up, “it’s on the keys.”

I nod and grab it, “thanks again Momo, you’re a lifesaver.”

“No problem, just please try and find love soon!”

I felt my cheeks reddening, “r-right!” I mutter, quickly walking off, making sure not to drop the case. I made my way back to Iida, trying not to let myself get distracted again. After about five minutes, I got to where Iida was guarding the rose. I’m glad he’s taking it seriously. “Hey, thanks for watching the rose,” I say, reaching for it.

“It was my pleasure. Now pretend I’m hand chopping the air,” he says, and I chuckle, nodding.

I quickly make my way back to the west wing, not wanting to waste any time. Glancing down at the rose, I sighed in relief, seeing it still had it’s last two petals. Five minutes later, I made my way over to the stand, placing the rose down gently, smiling softly. I made my way to my room, laying down on the bed, I drifted off to sleep, thinking about Y./N.
