39. Reunion

The people around Bjorn and Scria were definitely from Brogan's world. Their clothes were simple, dull colors, and they had MUDs. Oh and things that looked like weapons. At least they were pointing them at Bjorn and Scria, like they could shoot them or something. The weapons looked a bit like rifles, but without all the extra stuff. So I guess it was kind of like a rod with a handle and grip.

"Hey, everyone calm down." I figured I should try to keep everyone from fighting.

Bjorn looked a bit confused, "What? Bwyd! What is this place?"

It was then that I remembered languages were a thing, and Bjorn was speaking a different language then I did. I was speaking the other world's language so the guys with the rod guns understood me, but Bjorn and Scria didn't.

"Ma'am, are you the dragon?" One of the rod gun guys turned to face me, and lowered his weapon.

"Yes, and these are my friends, so please stop pointing your, uh, things at them."

"Stand down." He then did something that was proabably their version of a salute. He stood straight with his heels together and then held his right fist across his chest. "We have been ordered to follow any guidance you or your companions give in regards to this world. Quit frankly, we are far beyond our comfort zone, so we had no idea what to do with these friends of yours."

The rod gun guys had lowered their weapons when they were told to, but they still seemed a bit intimidated by the two large people, who were obviously not human.

"So Bwyd? You know we can't understand a word of what you're saying, right?" Bjorn still held his shield up, but still looked slightly concerned.

I focused a bit to switch languages, "Yeah, I completely forgot that they don't speak the same language. Anyway, I told them you were friends, so you should be safe now. Oh, and they are actually here. Like, actually physically here."

He still looked concerned, but he lowered his shield, and Scria sheathed her weapons. "What is this place, we just got a message that said our party member had established an instance and asked if we wanted to teleport here. This is just..."

Scria cut in, "Freaken weird. It, I, feel things."

Bjorn gave her a funny look, but I steathily touched my tail. I could still feel with it. Like I wasn't in the game. I quickly pulled up my menu, to see if that was working normally.

Everything looked like I expected, well except for the stat points. Apparently I had 15 to spend, and no idea where they all came from. I could always go through my notification log, but I didn't care enough to take the time. Plus I got some strange notifications, so who knows what those said. So somehow the game system was running, but I could feel things like this was reality.

Stolen story; please report.

"Guys, there is so much we need to talk about, but I think we should get Marcus. He might understand more about what's going on. It's been a bit crazy."

They both agreed, and we started going towards where I left Marcus, Lily, and Brogan. Before we had gone very far, the rod gun guys all seemed to jump a little, at the same exact time. They also started to make various motions, like there was something in front of their face. A moment after they jumped I got a notification.

Alert

The system has discovered 72,337 unregistered enties

Due to the system's moral code these entities cannot be eliminated and must either be removed from the integrated area, or given a special instance

As the controller of this instance you may convert it to a special instance immediately, or a normal instance after all unregistered entities are removed

Until you choose one of these options, your instance will remain in flux

I reread that notification a couple times just to make sure I understood what it said. It looked like I was somehow given an entire instance of my own, and it had a massive fortress surrounded by a massive forest. Which was pretty cool. But then there were the unregistered entities. I was pretty sure that the unregistered enties were all the people who came through the portal, and I wasn't about to tell them they all had to leave, so I figured I would have to make a special instance. Not that I had any idea what that meant, or how to do it, but I was sure I'd figure it out. I mean, I'd been doing ok with the game so far. Before I was able to start looking at what I could do with my instance I got distracted by Bjorn and Scria.

"Do you think she's really Marcus? Just disguised?"

"Poke her, Marcus don't notice nothing."

"I'm not going to poke her I'm a man, it's inappropriate. You poke her."

"Ya, but you got that dragon thing goin' on."

"Hey, nobody gets to poke me." I put my hands on my hips and tried to give them a stern look.

Bjorn started smiling and then he lunged at me. Apparently he forgot that I could teleport, so he landed on his face, and I was standing in Scria's big shadow. However I missjudged one thing. They were working together. He knew perfectly well that I would teleport into Scria's shadow, and she was waiting. All four of her arms reached out in a perfectly timed attack. She might have hit me a little hard, but thankfully I was a little bit tougher than the average human. The force of her pokes lifted me off my feet and sent me tumbling a few feet away. Both of them were laughing. Bjorn still on the ground, and Scria holding her stomach.

"So do I have to escape from pokes now?" I tried to mimic Lily's pouting face.

"Yo, Bwyd. Ya face..." Scria just started laughing again, unable to say any more.

"Bywd, it's just, we thought you needed a poke. You looked so serious. You didn't even hear us talking about poking you."

"I heard you, that's why I said nobody gets to poke me." I gave up on the pouting face and just glared at Scria, but that just made her laugh more.

"Only the last bit, we talked about our whole plan. You looked like you were reading something. Was it important?"

"Oh, right. Wait a moment." I turned towards the rod gun guys, and saw they were still seeing something in front of their faces. I switched lanuages, "Are you seeing a blue box in front of you?"

The man who spoke before answered me, "Yes, we have figured out how to dissmiss the messages. It seems like a more advanced interface than our own devices, but the idea is similar."

"Wait, you have more than one message?"

"Yes, the first one was unreadable, but the second said something about being unregistered, and recieving a temporary ID until we were removed from this space, or allowed to stay. Do you know anything about that?"

"I think I may be able to help, but I don't really understand everything that's going on here. We are going to get another friend of mine who is really good with this type of magic. We should be able to figure out what's going on."

"Good, then we will meet up with the rest of the refugees. We'll gather near that wall, maybe we can find what's inside."

"Ok, sounds good, though the fortress was empty. I already took a look inside."

We separated after that, and it wasn't too long after that we found Marcus, Lily, and Brogan. They were walking though the field towards the fortress. I was about to yell something, but Scria spoke first.

"Yo, guys. Wanna mess with them?"
