A new day in a new inn, of course since I had already planned to get to level 10. I reached Adventures Guild bright in the morning. And it turned out that the trope of all Adventures Guild receptionists being beautiful was true. But since I was in hurry I just chose the counter which no one was on.
"Hi I'm Flora, how may I help you?"
Flora was extremely beautiful, but once she speaks you know she only means business. Probably why not many people were here. She had a cold attitude but unlike Nore who was only cold to me, Flora seemed she was cold to the whole world.
"Hi, I'm Ishant and I'd like to accept a quest."
"What are you looking for?"
"Something that pays well"
"I would suggest going for gathering quests as they pay better. And since you're a Mage you should be able to know which herbs are ripe to be picked"
At first, I didn't understand what she said but after a few seconds I still didn't understand what she meant I asked her
"How do you know I'm a Mage, also how does that help with gathering."
Her expression didn't change and she flatly said: "I have Appraisal and as Mage, you should have Magic Sense, which can help you find any magical herbs conditions."
Well, that was good, but wait so anyone with Appraisal can see my Class? Can they see it's Mage(Space) as well? Can they see the Demon King class? I had many questions but I couldn't simply ask her any of them. So of course I used my Appraisal on her.
{Appraisal of the individual was blocked due to the influence of a higher level skill}
{Due to the influence of Demon King (Hidden Class) some of the information was forcefully acquired}
{Name: Flora de Vangulis
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Level: ??
Class : [???] [???]
Job : [Noble(Rank - ???] [???] [???]
Skills : [Appraisal] [Sword Talent (Level 4)] [Archery (Level 7)] [Increased Status Effects Resistance (intermediate)] [???]...[???] }
I was shocked, who was she? A noble and she had two classes and three jobs. She was good in Sword and Amazing with Bow and Arrow as well. And how do you block Appraisal I also want that skill.
Also all this time her expression didn't change even a slight bit.
After getting a quest to gather Dale fruits. They grew on very small trees and are easy to get. Just that it's hard to know when they're ripe so even if you bring back 50 only 10 or so turn out to be valid. That's why in this quest the Skill Quest Progression was used a lot. But even so, it was only a bar and not numbers. So you had to pay careful attention to it and see if it moved when you gathered the fruit. If it did then good but if it did not then that was a waste.
The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.
But wasn't it just picking the fruits and even that from a very short tree. Why don't you just keep picking until you complete the meter on Quest Progression? The problem was that on all the fruit trees you'd find a poisonous spider monster called Blatta Spider. It sucks the juices from the trunk of the tree. And anyone who comes close to the tree it'll attack without reservation.
But for me, it was just too easy of a Quest. I not only will be able to pick perfectly ripped fruits but even the Blatta Spider was nothing to me since I had Complete Immunity to Status Effects and the poison was nothing to me.
The quest was to collect 10 Dale fruits in usable condition.
I took it 10 times after all it did not have a time limit and was a G-Ranked always ON quest.
After going to the Giant's Foot forest it wasn't hard to find the fruits. But it still took some time to find ripped one's and once I found some I'd first use Dominance which I have not been using because I usually needed to kill the monsters or because people were around me. It was pretty handy as most spiders were in Level 5-6 and ran away rest I killed to get some Exp. Which they gave quite a few.
{Killed a Level 10 Blatta Spider: 4000Exp (400Exp × 10) acquired}
Thus a pretty good day. Because I killed quite a few spiders in levels 8-10.
At the end of the day, I was already Level 9 and would have been at level 10 if just a few more were killed. But of course, I didn't get greedy and left the forest as soon as the sun started to set.
The total fruits I got were 120, since who knows maybe some I picked turned out not ripped.
The old lady who managed gathering for the guild was quite surprised.
"Oh, you must have Magic Sense to get all of them perfectly ripped. But still so many and all fresh. Go get two more quests for them so I can get all of them"
She said happily. I went and did that, Flora was still there, and the only counter that did not have any queue. When I asked her to give me two more of the quest her eyes showed a little bit of surprise but it was gone like it didn't exist the next moment.
After coming back to the old grandma I also learned that Dale fruits are used for their juices which when poring over a wound would not be infected. So these are always used before using any healing magic or potion as if the wound closed with infection it would be worse. Of course, high-level healing magic and potions can cure infections too but that'd be too expensive.
For one quest I was getting one silver and extra money for selling the fruits as well.
One fruit was 2 Bronze so that was 24 silver and 12 silver from the quest. I earned quite a sum today. And obviously changed the inn with PG-level food.
The next inn I found was almost at the corner of the city where there wasn't any guild or Market but it was filled with residential houses. Thus the inn was only for 2 silver but a room of 12×12 feet and a big bed. It didn't include the meal but I had already been eating out half the time so I didn't mind. Now that I was getting very frustrated with wearing the same thing again and again I thought I should buy some clothes. Of course, it had only 9 days since I came here and I had washed them during the night two times and then wore it again but I'd like something else now.
Oh of course my clothes weren't modern ones when Vinatee had sent me here I was wearing clothes of this world. It was, to be honest pretty much the same for men. Pants and t-shirts, jacket. Just worse fabric. I had heard someone talking in Adventures Guild that you can buy extremely smooth and soothing clothes at a high price but of course, I didn't have that much money. So I went to a normal clothing store.
"Hi, welcome to Jabaz's Clothing store, how may I help you?"
It was a pretty skinny man who welcomed me, I just left him to decide whatever clothes were good right now.
It cost me only 13 silver to buy two sets of clothes. Quite a good deal.
After getting clothes I also went to a wand story to see if I can afford one. I had heard they were quite expensive.
But it turned out it was closed right now. Since it was getting quite late anyway I went back to the inn and slept.
