Chapter 18: Traning and Meeting Luna

Chapter 18: Traning and Meeting Luna

It was still morning when we left for the training. However, before we reached our destination. The sun had already reached high in the sky. Our training field will be a plain next to a lake inside a forest. This forest didn't have any powerful monsters in it. It was even an unnamed forest. The lake was named Crying Lake, because back in the day when Wars with Dominan Empire were common and official. There were many people who died and legends said this lake was built from the tears of their relatives.

The plains had a lot of signs of magic being used on. Flora probably trained here usually.

"First of all, we need you to get used to your own skill. So tell me which skill of yours can be powerful if used perfectly. However, you've not been able to use it much? Any skill comes to mind?"

"I have a short-range Teleportation skill."

"Ohh, like the Assassin class has. Is your hidden Class a legendary assassin class? But still don't you need a shadow to use Shadow Movement skill?" She seemed pretty excited about this.

"No it's Teleport and it's from my last title. Just like Gate, you remember Gate right?"

"Of course, I remember. You used it to get out of a Dungeon. Yes now that I think about it. Gate does seem like it'd be connected to those gods. So tell me more about this Teleport skill."

"Teleport let's me Teleport at short range. Well, it used to be short range before but last time I checked I was able to move 700m with it. For it to work I need to think of the direction and distance before I use it. I tried without that but I just Teleported where I was looking."

"Good, good. So you can make a false move to Teleport only using your sight against an intelligent enemy. Until they get used to it then you suddenly use the Direction and Distance formula to Teleport. Catching them off guard. But first, let's practice. I'll be firing of Wind Arrow (Void) at you. You'll only be using Teleport to avoid it. And since the direction with distance part should be hard. You'll only be using that method."

Before I could even agree she had fired several arrows. I tried teleporting behind her but ended up right in front of her. Thus taking a lot of damage.

"Oh, you're gonna need a lot of training."

After half an hour she switched to Water Blade (Void) unlike Wind Arrow (Void) which made arrows a little bit slower and a lot more powerful. Water Blade (Void) was instead faster and sharper. Jet black blades of water cutting through air looked marvelous until you were in front of them.

"I'm tired, can't we take a break?"

"In just 2 hours? Is your stamina so low? Do you ever train?"

"I mean Teleport uses a lot of stamina. And no I don't usually train much. Most of my stamina cones from my Dexterity."

"And where did you have the misconception that Dexterity raises your stamina?" She asked. In fact, I've never actually read about it.

"Well, when I got a Dexterity rising skill. I started getting less tired."

"Ishant, Dexterity is the stat that helps us with speed. From the speed of our muscles to our thinking speed. Our reaction speed as well as our response speed. It decreases or outright removes unnecessary movement in our Body. But no, it does not rise our stamina. The reason you felt less tired was that it reduces the Stamina Consumption rate. The only way to raise stamina is by training. You train until you're tired enough to pass out and you do it every day. That's how you raise your stamina."

"Oh dear, that's a cruel way. Isn't there like skills and stuff for it?" I asked.

"Well there are many, it's just that it'd be hard to get those. And items that give stamina boosts are mostly temporary ones. And usually, warriors don't need these boosts as it hurts their ego. After all most people who use the boosts, use them for their nightly duties. As far as permanent ones are concerned. Those are extremely rare. So your best bet is my way. Train until your bones become rubber."

That day, I did pass out from stamina depletion. But she then fed me Stamina Potion. And we continued our training.

"Why can't we use the Potion before fainting?" I had asked.

"How are you supposed to increase stamina in that case? You'll only increase it when even keeping your body running is all you could do. That's when you'll see growth in your stamina."

It continued the whole day. However at the end of the day.

{You've strengthened your Body, Reaction Speed, and Stamina Pool through Training.

Your Body will become more fit. Due to the Influence of [Always Fit], you're already in perfect Body in accordance with your Level.

Your Reaction Speed has increased by 2%.

Your Stamina pool has increased by 3%.}

Wait I will get a notification of how much I improved as well. That's great.

After coming back to Runburg I told Tulip and Iris about my training and that they should try to raise their levels in the dungeon right now. They were of course powerful enough to clear the early floors.

The next day I went with Flora to the Crying Lake again and trained my Teleport today Flora used Stone Bullet (Void) to fire at me. However unlike yesterday. Today I was able to stay unscathed till I fainted.

While we were resting I suddenly saw a bird come towards us. The bird was extremely beautiful. It was the size of a house pigeon however had eagle-like wings. Its body was snow white while its wings had a darker tint of blue. I've never seen such a beautiful creature.

"Wow!" Flora also exclaimed. "Is this a Divine Beast? I've heard of Ice-type Divine Beast but it's said to be a giant blue wolf with ice-blue wings. Let me use Visions of Gods on it.

I also used Appraisal on it.

{Bird (Ice type)

Level: 29}

That's all I got from Appraisal nothing else. So I asked Flora about it.

{Individual Flora has shared information obtained from [Vision of Gods] with you. }

{Ice Divine Beast

(unknown origin)

Title(s): [Divine Ice Queen] [????]

Skills: [????] [????]... [????] }

"So it is a Divine Beast. But what's this unknown origin? Also, what's this title and these skills that can hide from your overpowered skill."

.

"Who knows, it's my first time meeting a Divine Beast too, you know."

"Koo," it said looking at me. Its voice was as if a small but clear song in snowstorms. It tilted its head and then landed on my shoulder.

Was it trying to tell me something? Wait can't my Language Comprehension skill work it out? Does it work on Divine Beast's language? I didn't have the slightest Idea.

{Unknown entity was Tamed by you.}

{The unknown entity wishes for you to name it}

Oh, it suddenly Tamed itself? After all, I didn't even do anything.

"Wow, it looks so attached to you. I so want to touch it" Flora was still looking at it as if she had fallen in love. If anyone else were to know that she made such a reaction, her usual Ice Cold Beauty image would surely be shattered.

"Well, it tamed itself somehow to me," I told Flora.

"Then I'll name you Luna, you're exactly like the moon. Cold and beautiful."

{Taming of Luna was completed. You've gained a new Ally.}

{Skill Monster Taming has Leveled Up to Level 10}

{You've Tamed a Divine Beast??? Of unknown origin. Titles [One Who Has Tamed Divine Beast] and [Mythical Tamer] were acquired}

{Due to the Influence of the Title [Mythical Tamer] your skill [Monster Taming] has evolved to [Great Taming]}

{You've Tamed a Level 29 Divine Beast(Luna): 2.9 Million Exp (290,000Exp × 10) acquired}

{Level Up}

{You've reached Level 49}

{Class Skills for Level 30 and Level 40 are now available}

Well, that was unexpected. 20 Levels at once.

"What happened? Suddenly you've changed. Did you level up?" I felt that she Appraised me then. "Whoa, you're getting close to my level now. But of course, Taming a Beast gives 2 times more Exp than killing it and as expected of a Divine Beast. It already gave you so much experience."

Now for the skills, I got

Class Skills: Mage(Ice & Space): [6 Element Basic Magic(Tier V )] [6 Element AOE Magic (Tier IV)] [6 Elements Intermediate Magic (Tier III)] [6 Elements Intermediate AOE Magic (Tier II)] [6 Elements Advanced Magic] [Ice Needle (Tier V)] [Blizzard (Tier IV)] [Frozen Lance (Tier III)] [Hell's Freezer (Tier II)] [Absolute Zero] [Spacial Flux (Tier V)] [Spacial Torment (Tier IV)] [Shift (Tier III)] [Sub-space Creation (Tier II)] [Space Destruction] [Magic Sense (Tier V)] [Magic Barrier (Tier IV)] [Chant Shortening (Tier III)] [Magic Nullification (Tier II)] [Mana Purification] [Increased Mana Pool (Low)] [Increased Mana Recovery Rate (Low)] [Increased Intelligence (Low)] [Decreased Mana Consumption (Low)] [Decreased Magic Casting Time ((Low)] Demon King: [True Demon Eye] [Dominance] [Ready For War(Tier V)] [Miasma Absorption] [Increased Defence (High)] [Great Taming (Level 2)] [Summon Familiar] [Last Trick] [Intuition] [Weapon Mastery (Level 9)] [Telepathy]

[Increased Dexterity (High)] [Demonic Body (Tier II)] [Faith] [Hell Summoning] [Demon King Transformation] [King's Ambition] [Summon Demonic Sword Tyrfing]

The upgrade was a bit too much. So many Skills and everything all in one place. I would have liked it if things combined a bit. Like Demon Eye and Appraisal combined.

Currently, we still needed to Train so I skipped reading the description.

"Hey, Flora, have you ever heard of a sword called Tyrfing?" I asked her since she knew a lot of things.

"It's a cursed sword. Whenever you draw this sword it'll kill 3 beings. Only after killing 3 different beings can you sheath it back. It also puts a Bloodlust status effect on its user. Why are you asking?"

"You know, just general knowledge. Nothing serious."

Good thing I didn't just use this sword.

"Oh okay, I'll 'believe' you for now. Oh you know some texts say that a Demon King can actually use it without the courses. But no one actually knows where is it or any clues about its previous user so it's just a legend now."

So I can use it. Good thing it's not a useless skill.

"Now enough chit-chat. Let's fight. You're already at level 49. I can probably go all out."

She instantly fired of a Thunder God's Hand (Void) at me. Wait how can I tell its name? Of course, it must be my Tier 5 Magic Sense. I used Teleport to get out of it and fired off Burning World the Advance Fire Magic. She Nuffield the magic and started firing arrows. But it wasn't ordinary, no. My Weapon Mastery has reached level 9. I could tell each arrow had Void Element in it. And with her precision. It would be impossible to dodge it. Thus I used Tornado the Intermediate AOE Magic Skill. It slowed down the arrows just enough for me to calculate my next Teleport destination. As I came face to face with Flora I used Summon Demonic Sword Tyrfing to get myself a Sword and instantly used it on her. She took a defensive stance with her short sword but my Sword Mastery was higher than her. I was able to get through to her. However, before I could become the winter she fired Fallen Star (Void) at close range. I used the sword to take the blow but still got badly damaged and lost.

"First mistake, using newly gotten skills, second mistake, trying to use distance and direction to Teleport when I'm in front you. The third mistake, summoning a weapon mid-battle thus giving me time to prepare a bit of attack. Fourth mistake, not keeping your mind active towards Magic Sense and getting surprised and attacked. I could go on but you should first try to solve these ones. Let's start practicing with your new skills. My dear Demon King" she said with a smirk.

I suppose the Sword gave it away.
