I didn't wake up till evening. Extremely hungry as I was, I went ahead and ate all the street food I could find. I also bought some MP and HP potions. And food that I kept in my Item Box. Now I was planning on spending the night in the Dungeon.
The next day I woke up again at 4 AM and went to the dungeon. I had already bought maps for Floor 6-10 so I went directly to the 6th floor and started going towards the floor boss. From floor 6, this dungeon had traps. So I was quite careful about where I stepped.
On the 6th floor, the monsters were Lesser Living Armour. It was living armor but was still undead. They resisted magic so I just used my great sword to smash them all. Some of them dropped scrapped iron.
Somewhere around halfway I found 6 of them coming toward me. While fighting them I triggered a trap and fell.
The trap was in the wall so it was quite hard to notice as well. As I fell, I found out I had broken a bone in my ankle and a wrist bone as well. It was quite painful but I had broken a bone before coming to this world so I kinda had enough experience. I tried to calm my mind and used Item Box to get an HP potion. I almost spat it, this thing tasted so bad. The whole of my throat was burning. But soon My bones started to get back to normal.
Of course, fixing bones wasn't this easy for everyone. The main reason for me was that broken bone was considered a Status Condition. Thus my Complete Immunity to Status Effects was able to get me out of this.
I should probably think of a way to counter traps. Joining a party was an idea but I'll have to carefully think about it.
Now that I was fully healthy, I needed to analyze my situation. First question where was I? Since the level of the monster was the same as the number of floors. Killing a monster should tell me the floor I'm at. So I started walking. I didn't know which floor I am so maps wouldn't work. Thus I started only taking lefts. Until there's no left to take then I'll go right. The first monster I found was a Dulhan. It rode a horse and didn't have a head. So I assumed it was Dulhan. Actually in Hindi Dulhan meant bride, so for me, it was quite awkward to call it that. Anyway, I was very careful and did not go closer and simply fired Spacial Flux at it. This was my best chance at it, and it worked.
{Killed a Level 20 Lesser Dulhan: 16,000Exp (1,600Exp × 10) acquired}
{Level Up}
{Level 20 reached: New Class Skills acquired}
So I was on the 20th Floor. I don't think it would be an easy floor. After all, my enemies are all level 20 and they can also be in groups. There's another problem as well, traps. But going back to Level 15 safe room will also be hard, probably harder than clearing the 20th Floor. But first I needed to check my skills.
Class Skills: Mage(Space & Ice) [6 Element Basic Magic(Tier III )] [6 Element AOE Magic (Tier II)] [6 Elements Intermediate Magic] [Ice Needle (Tier III)] [Blizzard (Tier II)] [Frozen Lance] [Spacial Flux (Tier III )] [Spacial Torment (Tier II)] [Shift] [Magic Sense (Tier III)] [Magic Barrier (Tier II)] [Chant Shortening] [Increased Mana Pool (Low)] [Increased Mana Recovery Rate (Low)] [Increased Intelligence (Low)] Demon King [Demon Eye (Inflict Status Effect] [Appraisal(Level 10)] [Dominance] [Ready For War(Tier III)] [Miasma Absorption] [Increased Defence (High)] [Monster Taming(Level 5)] [Summon Familiar] [Last Trick] [Intuition] [Weapon Mastery (Level 3)] [Telepathy]
[Increased Dexterity (High)]
A few skills have gone up a tier while some have leveled up, making them stronger.
After I had gotten Mage (Space & Ice) I had gotten Ice Needle, which shoots a bunch of Ice Needles, and Blizzard which was an AOE attack and made extremely cold winds. The new one in Ice is Frozen Lance, according to the description it'll shoot a 6 feet long lance.
In the 6 Elements Intermediate Magic was Blazing Flame, Water Breathing, Winds of Destruction, Earthen Wall, Reflective Lesser, and Calling of Night.
Blazing Flame shoots extremely hot flames that can melt stone. Water Breathing allows you to breath in water for 5 minutes after casting the spell on yourself. You can also cast it on someone else as well. Winds of Destruction shoots extremely powerful winds at the enemy from every direction at once. Earthen Wall Creates a wall of earth. It's sturdy enough to withstand a barrage of attacks. Reflective Lesser is the first attack type spell of a light element that I had learned. It shoots a lesser and that lesser can reflect as well. Shooting it in between enemies would be quite good... Until it reflects back at you. I'd have to be careful with this one. Calling of Night binds the enemy with darkness and sucks their energy. It only works at night though.
Shift was the new space magic skill I got. It will shift my position with the target. Quite an amazing skill it is, there are lots of ways you can use it. Chant Shortening was good for spells. The description was a bit vague so I'll have to try to see how good it's later. Increased Intelligence (Low) increases my Intelligence by 50%.
The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.
As for Demon King's skills Demon Eye (Inflict Status Effect) can be used to inflict any status and depending on level difference and which status you're trying to inflict you'll have a chance to inflict it. Like trying to inflict Paralysis on someone whose level is 1, is 100% for me right now but trying to inflict Heart Failure on someone at level 20 has less than 1% chance.
Intuition was a skill I had seen on Flora and thought it'd be quite good to have. And it turned out to be true. Intuition allowed me to enhance my 6th sense and make me aware of the danger. I was hoping it works on traps too but I'll have to find that out myself. Weapon Mastery is the ability to use any weapon. At level 3 I'd be able to use a sword as good as someone with Sword Mastery (level 2) this was pretty decent. I'd love to see how good it is at later levels. Telepathy allowed me to talk to someone within their mind. However, it requires me to be in the 100m range and can only be used if the other person gives consent to it.
Increased Dexterity (High) increases my dexterity by 200% which is a lot. Currently, my stats with all buffs looked like this.
HP 1780/2200 MP 3800/4500 Attack 200 Defense 720 Strength 1560 Endurance 220 Intelligence 450 Dexterity 540 Charm 160 Luck 200
After chacking my Status Page I again started taking left routes. I was also making a rough map on paper. Whenever I found a Lesser Dulhan I'd use Blazing Flame since this one only burnt the enemy and stopped if they died I thought it's okay to use it here. I was getting 16000Exp per kill. After killing 3rd Lesser Dulhan I leveled up again.
Intuition turned out to be able to detect traps. However, I had no idea what to do even after knowing there was a trap in this direction. So I marked these routes on the map. I'll get back at them if I didn't find the Boss room.
After Roaming around till my clock said it was midnight already. I found out I wasn't dead tired like last time. From what I had read it should be because of the increase in my Dexterity. The increase was 200% so this seemed quite good. I was already Level 24. Suddenly my Intuition told me to take a right. It was just one right so I did it. At the end of the route was a Box. I had read that these were called Reward Chests however most of them were just mimics. A monster found throughout all dungeons. But since my Intuition led me here I opened it.
Inside it was a ring so I used Appraisal on it.
{Ring of Charm
Increases Charm: 100
A charming ring that makes you look more handsome}
Well, it wasn't a bad reward I suppose. My charm went from 192 at Level 24 to 292.
While It won't help me in fighting, it's always good to be more charming.
Again I kept doing the same thing. Going left until I reach a trap or dead end then going right. Somewhere around the morning of the next day, I was getting tired. This floor was just too large. Of course, it had its benefits. Having reached Level 26 already. But the cost was high as well. A single attack from Dulhan had eaten 1/3rd of my HP before. This was dangerous. However, something I was hoping to avoid happened. 5 Dulhan in a single corridor. They had also noticed me. The good thing was it had been a while since I fought so my MP was full at 5850 points. I hadn't cast Spacial Torment after it reached Tier II. Because the cost was 2500 MP. But now was the perfect time. I cast it. The running horses staggered. Dulhan's received a lot of damage but it just made them angry. I thought as Undead they won't have emotions but they were clearly angry. My stamina was at rock bottom, after all, even Skills that cost Mana reduced your stamina too. But the Dulhan's weren't dead yet. I mustered up all my strength and used Blizzard as I knew it'd be impossible to use Spacial Torment again. As I sat there I received a notification.
{Killed 5 Level 20 Lesser Dulhan: 80,000Exp(8,000Exp ×10) acquired}
{Level Up}
Now I had reached Level 27. But this was an extremely hard one. For about a couple of hours, I just sat there. Trying to keep myself awake but still trying to restore my stamina.
Just the next left was Boss Room. So I again rested there. I was just thinking about why I haven't found any other party. After all, this wasn't 1st floor where nobody goes but 20th. There should definitely be someone. But then I remembered, usually, people who come to the 20th floor were those who entered from the 15th floor safe room just after the Boss room. Thus if they're on the 20th floor they'll only come to challenge the boss of the 20th floor so they can grind on 21-22 floor. Nobody would go grind on floors that are so far from a safe room. After all, you could go back to a floor where there's no safe room. But going back from 21st to 20th isn't possible because you'll be blocked by the safe room.
It was around afternoon. It had already been 1 and a half days just fighting. Of course, being awake or walking for 2 days straight wasn't much problem for current me. But fighting costs a lot more energy. I entered the boss room.
The boss was a Dulhan however he excluded a dark aura. I started running around him. Dulhan's didn't have a long ranged attack and the horses couldn't take a sudden U-turn. I took advantage of this and started Chanting for Frozen Space the single spell I bothered to learn. After all, this was an extremely powerful one. Before I didn't even have the MP to test it at full capacity. But now I poured a total of 6,000 MP into it. Leaving me with a mere 75.
Suddenly the Space shattered. The Dulhan's Body was thrown into it. As I watched the space turn cold. There wasn't any light in this space either so what I watching was actually just a Dark ball. And I heard the notification then.
{Killed a Level 20 Dulhan: 30,000Exp (3000Exp × 10) acquired}
Finally, I was free. I got out of the dungeon and got back to my inn while half asleep.
