Testing out some Abilities

Testing out some Abilities

I arrived at my room. I figured it would be a little smelling since this is a fantasy world and didn’t have proper ways of cleaning, but I did not imagine it would be this bad. I opened the window to help air out the room and sat down on the bed.

I first verified the contents of my Item Box. Ninety-four silver coins, a mirror, and now my dagger. I made sure to throw it back in the Item Box once I made it to my room. I wanted to test out enchanting, but I also didn’t want to paint a target on my back my first day in this world. I don’t know how many enchanters there are, what they can do, or how much an enchanted item sells for.

So that brought me to first understanding crafting and the materials. I know I said I wanted to be able to create enchanted items with the effect I wanted it to have, but I wasn’t expecting her to flood my memory with the knowledge of crafting. And it wasn’t just stuff like weaving baskets and whatnot, it included blacksmithing, sewing, architecture, and many other forms. The materials used for all of this ranged from regular cow hide and chicken feathers, all the way to dragonhide and griffon feathers. Magic metals like mithril, silver, gold, adamantine, dracotite, and others were also listed there.

But this wasn’t what was so broken about the abilities that Delimira had given me. What was broken about them is that she had given me the capabilities of creating and crafting them whenever and wherever with Creation Magic. Which meant I could even do them in the very room I am currently in. Of course, this came with restrictions. I couldn’t use something that was harvested from living monsters, I had to go out of my way to hunt them down or purchase the materials myself. If I wanted to, I could craft a mithril dagger right this instant, but it would use up roughly seventy percent of my available mana. That was still a massive cheat ability that she gave me.

I needed to further investigate the limits of my skills. I wanted to craft stuff by hand and test out the differences between them and magically crafted items. If there was a significant difference between the two, then I could always mass create some items and sell them for cheap depending on the materials needed for them. I will have to wait until I am in the city to test all of this out.

Next, Universal Magic. I wasn’t quite sure what this meant exactly, but I could tell just by the name that I will be able to cast all sorts of different types of magic. I sat there and closed my eyes and concentrated on myself. I recalled the feeling I had when mana was sucked out of me from the weird looking orb thing from the Guild and focused on that. After a few minutes I could feel the flow of mana inside of me. I smiled. I can’t exactly explain the feeling of mana, but it makes me feel freer than when I was on Earth. It was a feeling that brought me genuine happiness.

I moved my left hand forward, my dominant hand, and focused on the flow of mana and pictured forming a small fireball above my hand. I opened my eyes and saw a small ball of fire above my hand. It was the size of a golf ball and burned brightly. I cut off the mana and the fire was put out immediately. I then tested it out for water, earth, wind, light and even formed a ball of something dark like on my hand. It looked like condensed shadows, reaching out with tendrils towards the light in the room. It was the most fascinating form of magic so far.

I continued for a good thirty minutes, testing out different types of magic and what I could do with it. I found that I could combine different types of magic and create separate elements. Water and wind created Storm magic, earth and water created Wood magic, fire and earth magic created Metal magic, light and dark magic created Null magic, and I found that water and fire magic created Illusion magic. There were different kinds of combination magics, but many of them were useless. Light and fire magic didn’t create anything unique, and even dark and fire magic barely did anything, it suggested a possible spell, but I couldn’t bring myself to testing it out in a tiny room like this.

I was even capable of casting Holy magic, which governs healing, barriers, blessings, and the likes but I had no one to test it on. Space-Time magic was also a type of magic I couldn’t cast freely, besides my Item Box of course.

Body Enhancement is exactly what you would think it is. All my senses are enhanced, my strength, speed, dexterity, and thought process have all been enhanced far past what I remember I was capable of back on Earth.

Linguistics gave me the capabilities to speak with all intelligent life on Attalea. This included animals, but I wonder just how intelligent animals really are? I will have to test this out tomorrow when I have some free time.

Then the last skill, Limitless Growth. Delimira said that I wouldn’t die so easily, so I can only guess this, along with body enhancement, are the two skills that she purposely gave me to make sure I wouldn’t fall so easily. This skill is self-explanatory, with each action I took such as running, weightlifting, sword training, magic training, I grew stronger. I would definitely be putting this to work.

I really wanted to get started with enchanting, but I chose not to try anything for the time being. So, I did the next best thing, test out creation magic. I put my hands together and channeled my mana and focused on creating what came to mind. I crafted a silver ring. With only magic. A pure silver ring. It was gorgeous. It fit on my small ring finger and felt like it was right at home.

It worked! I crafted an item from literally nothing. Delimira really did give me some cheats to get on in this world.

The amount of mana used was close to twenty percent, which wasn’t too bad, but from doing this my first time it caused me to become a little lightheaded. I was still all smiles. I was reincarnated in a fantasy world, given the capability of casting magic, crafting whatever I brought to mind, and was even given a stronger body than what I had on Earth. I couldn’t ask for more. Now I must get my goals in line and achieve them one at a time.

My first goal: Make it to Dalzia.
