The dark entity slowly came closer and closer into view. He felt that it was sleeping and that he should be thankful that it didn’t know he even existed. It was so powerful he felt that he comparatively didn’t exist. It felt more real than him. Like he was a 2d drawing in front of a 3d model. The entity started to stir slightly. Mike felt shivers go down his spine. He felt that he must get away from here. He knew that if something jostled it too much it would wake.
Mike shot up suddenly.
He was tired and decided to make another cup of coffee. He got up and went over to the kitchen. He plugged in the coffee maker and started it up. He checked his money and decided that he would check out his quests tab and try to see what he could do to make some more money. Maybe also try out his [Job Listings] Skill as well.
He sat around a bit until his coffee finished and then walked over to the entrance to the cockpit. He opened it up and walked inside and looked around, wondering where to start. He decided to try the Start command and see what he could do. Since there was nothing else on his boring planet, he just decided to get to it after checking everything was stored and inside. Then he just got inside and said the command.
“Start.”
|Starting Soul-Truck|
The blank screen banks in the cockpit suddenly lit up. A whirring noise started up. Mike suddenly had a bad feeling.
|Please sit in your chair!|
Mike scrambled into his chair as he heard a whining noise coming from the truck and quickly got in and strapped in his chair. Then the truck shot up to space at a near 90 degree angle.
He was pushed back into the nice chair as his truck rocketed into the atmosphere. The truck suddenly stopped but he was restrained and there was magic going on that saved him from the g-forces. He was in space and the System apparently deemed this significant because he got a level up notification.
“View Notification.”

As his Soul-Truck got into a stable orbit, magical gravity emulators engaged and Mike felt normal gravity. He got out of his chair unsteadily and walked over to the screen banks and looked over them and their data maps. He pulled out the wheeler chair and wheeled around looking at all of them.
He pulled back up the quest tab to see what where he needed to go and used his [Job Listing] Skill.

“What… I guess I’m going to another planet for these jobs. Although if the notification was right and I was then only person on that planet then it would be quite hard to get a job offer on that planet.”
Mike decided to go with Erus. The job to ship weapons to the Holy king gave the most money, although the implication of weapons being needed was concerning, but it is better to be prepared. Which was another big plus in favor of finishing the job and getting access to new weapons.

Mike looked at the screen he was at and asked info about how to plot a route.
“Info. Planning routes with the Soul-Truck.”

Mike sighed but decided to buy it anyway. “Buy.”
As it coalesced Mike brought it with him into his bean bag and started reading up on how his programs worked.
A few hours later Mike had finished reading the guide. As he looked over the screen banks he located some mice and keyboards and got them together. He opened up his star chart for the galaxy he was in and did a search for Erus. Once he had located it he plugged the coordinates into another computer program and waited for it to finish calculating a bunch of mathematics. He didn’t have enough thinking power as a human to correctly create a route through out the galaxy so this was one time he would let a computer do his job of creating routes. I’m still going to make the route for when I get at the planet though. Mike perked up when a sound notification notified him when it was done and then finalized the program. Once that was done he went to the front two chairs and sat down in the navigator chair.
On his computer there he opened up the saved route and clicked the option to start the route. There was a countdown and he strapped into that chair as it finished counting down. Blue particles started coalescing around his truck and with a bright flash his windshield just had a fire of a white void. Since it would be a while and that was the only bumpy part he unbuckled and got out. His calculations approximated that it would take around 20 hours to get to his destination and so he decided to take a bit of a nap due to how late he had been working. He went to his bedroom and turned off the lights before falling back into a nice, deep sleep.
