Mike was floating. As he looked around he saw nothing except darkness. He tried to spin around, but no matter what he couldn’t move. Even if he could, he had no frame of reference for direction or speed. As he sat there for what felt like an eternity, he felt a sense of foreboding. Like he was being watched from behind. Slowly, something massive came into his view.
When Mike eventually woke up, it was slowly and drearily. At first he was confused about why his phone didn’t go off with an alarm to wake him up, until he remembered where he was. He shot up in bed and tried to quickly jump out of the bed. However if you have tried to leave a bed you were very comfortably sleeping in before, it is not an easy task. So instead of getting out quickly, he just got tangled up and fell down. This had a positive effect of giving him something to be annoyed at, so he forgot about where he was for a moment to wriggle out of his reasonably, but not extremely surprisingly, comfortable constraints. When he finally got out he was tired and decided that he could ponder philosophy and experience existential dread when his body was hyped up on caffeine. Wait, how do I get coffee? And that was truly the scariest thing he could imagine so that became his priority. Maybe the shop?
“Shop.”
The shop tab opened and after just looking for a few seconds he found a beverages tab.
“Beverages.”

Mike was confused and mildly concerned about the last two, especially what they meant by going to another reality, and so he decided to go with his favorite, a cup of Folgers coffee.
“I’ll have a cup of Folgers, some water, and a Generic Unbranded Coffee Maker.”
We don’t have that. I think you mean Generic Unbranded Coffee.
“Wha… Okay I’ll have some Generic Unbranded Coffee instead.”

More of the weird blue dust started swirling, this time into a, as the name would suggest, a very generic coffee machine, the kind you would see in any southern United States home. Another shape that was coming together as well looked like some Folgers brand coffee, but with a more crimson color scheme than the Folgers’ signature red. The water came in a clear plastic jug.As he picked up both of the things off of the floor where they had manifested, Mike looked around in sudden confusion.
“Wait how the hell am I supposed to plug this in?”
Mike remembered on the command page there was a thing about layout and assumed that it would be there. God this is so much work I just want coffee.
“Layout.”

“Add the power outlets.”
Another screen came up where he could put the outlets so he put one by his bed and the other by the entrance door. He plugged the coffee maker into the one near his bed and started it up. Fortunately the coffee had some filters in the container as well. He put it all together and then set it to start up as he laid back down on the bed. He almost dozed off to the nice white noise but it stopping woke him back up and he got up to drink it.
“Fuck where’s my mug? Damnit. Shop, utensils, Generic Coffee Mug.”

The mug coalesced more quickly than the others had so he quickly poured the coffee into it and started drinking. He opened the entrance door and stepped back outside.
He barely kept back from spitting out he coffee when he saw his Soul-Truck shimmering in the sun, or whatever the star his planet orbited was called. Its legs were a lot more creepy during the day for some reason. I mean it is kind of cool though… He sighed.
“Nothing to due about it.”
He muttered as he continued drinking his steaming mug. It was quite lucky that he liked it black because he was getting worried about funds. This was an impulse buy but definitely worth it. He was worried about getting some more stuff but remembered that he made a promise to himself about checking back into those more important looking screens. He sipped some more as he thought about it and decided to go from the top and opened up the screens.
“Info. Class”
Classes are archetypes you can choose to specialize in. You have multiple options at the moment for what you could choose. The first class you choose is basic no matter what you have done. But as you level up it can get more and more specific and powerful the more and more impressive your actions and accomplishments become. The first class change is at level 10.
“Info. What were all of those numbers called stuff like strength and dexterity and wisdom and stuff?”
Stats are easily digestible representations of your ability. As you level up and gain achievements these can be increased. Dexterity is a measure of how exact you can make your movements. It has a supernatural ability that increases the effects of various skills. Strength is a measure of how much physical force you are able to use. It has a supernatural ability to stabilize surfaces you use to brace yourself. Movement is a wholly supernatural measure that changes how things like air resistance, gravity, and g-forces. Endurance is a measure of your stamina and how fast your body metabolizes. It has a supernatural ability to heal more effectively, even to a non-sensical degree. Toughness is a measure of how resistant you are to damage and sickness. It has a supernatural element to make your body un-naturally tough, resistant to magical effects, and much lowered bodily strain from using magical effects. Wisdom is a measure of memory. It has a supernatural ability of increasing your mana pool and resistance to mental effects and soul damage. Intelligence is a measure of thinking speed. It has a supernatural ability of increasing mana regeneration and healing from soul and mind damage. Perception is a measure of how well you perceive things with your mundane senses, like proprioception, touch, smell, taste, sight, hearing, and other senses you do not have as a human. It has a supernatural ability to allow you to sense mana, see things without photons, and skills that affect sensing or finding things.
“Jesus Christ that’s a long block of text!”
Mike had nothing better to do though so he sat down and read it. He found it quite interesting but didn’t know what mana was.
“Info. Mana.”
Mana is a magical energy source that can be used to power things like skills or magical devices.
“Not much new but that’s fine I guess.”
Mike also saw that the Class said options available and decided that just looking would be fine.
“Choose class.”

“I choose trucker.”
Mike didn’t even have to see past that option. He always loved trucking and that would never change. Even past his death he would stick with trucking through thick and thin.
|A [Trucker] loves nothing more than the open road. Driving along beaten dirt paths, well worn shipping routes, or experimenting with new streets. These are all places you’ll find these Classers in their favorite machines, doing their favorite jobs.

Mike finally finished his coffee as he read through the status screen. There was nothing really new there except for his class. He sat his cup of coffee down by his bed and went outside to do some good morning stretches. Since he didn’t have any washer machines or things like that set up yet he decided to just take off his clothes before doing his morning stretches. All though the clothes were quite breathable, it would still suck to wear sweaty clothes for so long.
He he did his normal stretching and was winded by the end. He drank some of the water he had bought to cool off. He Put back on his clothes and decided that tomorrow he would buy more clothes. He was quite worried about his funds though so he was cautious about buying more things from the shop with his quickly dwindling funds. He was wondering about how he could get more money when he remembered the quest option mentioned in the Soul-Truck command list.
