As mike floated in the blank black space, he saw the entity again. He was suddenl pulled from where the entity was. That jostled it enough that it awoke. It looked around blearily and when it saw him, tried to grab onto him in a halfhearted way. He moved away from the entity at high speeds and it couldn’t reach him.
He stopped dreaming soon after that and the entity he had begun to stir went back to sleep. And the planet was silent once again.
Mike woke up feeling more well rested than he had the last two nights. He got up and quickly checked how much time was left till he arrived at his destination and saw he had been sleeping for a surprising 9 hours. He was surprised at that but was happy he slept right now when there wasn’t much else he could do. He want to the kitchen and made a cup of coffee for himself. As he sat there he noticed that a circle was in the corner of his vision with a bell on it. He didn’t know what was for so he just used info.
“Info. That bell circle thing in my vision.”

“Is that it?”
Mike was confused about what that was about, or who what that unknown entity was, but was too tired to do anything about it. He went over to where the coffee maker was. He got out his mug and filled it with coffee before going back to the cockpit. He checked the timing and there was still hours left until he arrived at the next planet. He decided to finally use the achievement reward from System Latecomer to get some more skills.

There was loads of skills so he sat down on his bean bag again. He settled in and for a few hours just sat and read through them. After he had finished he sat and thought for a bit. He wanted to be a be able to cook so that was a definite thing. He knew that he also needed the skill that would help him with making camp. And the one that would help him with mapping sounded pretty appetizing as well.
He finished his decisions and finalized him.

Mike felt the weird muscles of his skills appear more. Instead of the off and on of his [Soul-Truck] muscles these felt more like just a passive muscle. They felt kind of weak right now. He felt like in order to make them stronger he would have to work them out by using them. Similar to a real muscle.
As he sat there messing around with his skill muscles a bit more a beeping came on. He had set an alarm for when he was entering the planet solar system so he got up, stretched, and went to the cockpit. He sat down in the navigator chair and waited for a few more minutes until suddenly the white void disappeared and a blue and green planet filled his windshield.
It looked like Earth except as drawn by a child. It had large landmasses that looked a lot different than what he remembered from earth but were around the same size in total. From just his side he could see one of the poles had a white cap and a few other green continents. He got out of the navigation chair and went over to where the screen banks were. He got on the computer and opened a global positioning system. He started it up and sat back as it started scanning and locating landmarks. He spun around a bit. He was waiting so he got up for a quick walk to keep healthy. Mike knew that he would need to do things like this more often to stay fit. He got out of his chair and went to the navigation chair. Once he was strapped in he opened the job info for where he was supposed to do in order to pick up the shipping items. Once he got the coordinates to where it was he plugged it in to the navigation system and the truck rocketed over to it.
According to the GPS there was 5 main continents. There were two poles of course which were large amounts of ice that had built up and frozen. There were also three other continents that he would need to do some more information gathering on in order to make some better routes.
“Job Info.”
|Job|
|Planet: Erus|
|Starting Location: Demon Army storage depot. Location Added To Global Positioning System.|
|End Location: Demon Army main fortress. Location Added To Global Positioning System|
|Rewards: Unlock Weapons Tab For Soul-Truck
50 $¢|
The two locations popped up on his GPS. He punched in the coordinates for the depot where he had to pick up the stuff he had to ship and had his ship rocket down near it. It flashed down at high speeds but stopped suddenly and rapidly decelerated. It stopped suddenly and a notification came into his view that he pulled up.

Mike was a bit sad about that because it was quite beautiful to view space and much quicker to get from one place to another with it. He decided to double check some of his Soul-Truck stuff. As he got out of his Soul-Truck and looked around he had appeared down in a small clearing right besides a dirt road. There was nothing else around besides that so he just shrugged and went back to the Soul-Truck to make sure it was clear and would be able to move. As he looked over it it was in perfect condition and the multitude of legs would be useful in traversing the unstable ground. He could also see that the points of the legs somehow dispersed the weight more than it looked like. He nodded in satisfaction and went to the back. He would need to see how the storage worked beforehand to make sure he knew how much his Soul-Truck could ship and other information needed for planning the best routes. It looked like a normal container he would haul back on earth.
The major difference was of course the legs, but the container inside was weird as well. It looked the same and had the normal locking mechanism on the outside, but when he opened it, the container was also somehow bigger on the inside than the outside, at least slightly. It wasn’t as dramatic as the difference between the outside and inside of the truck cabin but still at least somewhat noticeable.
Mike went back to the cabin and went inside. It was annoying to have to go through two doors to get to the cockpit but what are you going to do I guess.
Mike sat down in the main cockpit chair. He reached over to the navigation area and finalized the map route. It had made a route for the small distance between his area and the location for where he had to pick up the job’s cargo.
Mike pressed gently on the forward pedal and the Soul-Truck rumbled up and started scuttling forward slowly. He applied more pressure and the Soul-Truck scuttled even quicker. Once he got the speed down and used to it he drove the Soul-Truck onto the dirt road and on to the route outlined by the navigation system. Normally he would take more time out of his day in order to make a better route for himself, but it was so short that there was no reason to and he didn’t have any stops he needed to make, or any recommendations to stop at from anyone. Maybe I should ask for some when I get to the loading point I guess. Mike checked the evaluated distance between the two major locations and it was long enough he would definitely have to make some stops. His truck just continued on for another 10 or so minutes until the start of civilization came into view from out of the beaten dirt path in the middle of a forest he was on. Huh, this was relaxing. I really have been enjoying trucking around like this.
