When the newly evolved Ruin Giant came back to himself after a few seconds of thinking, flexing, flexing a little more, then… a tad bit more, he realized he was back in nature.
Oh! I’m back!
He looked around the clearing, as if nothing changed at all. A few birds were still close to him, a white-spotted deer could be seen sniffing the ground nearby as well. Fish were leaping out of the stream only to land straight back in.
Wait… a time distortion?
The Ruin Giant looked around and realized that time had not changed at all from when he entered the illusionary space. The only thing different would be himself. What made it even weirder though for him was that he could tell there was a time distortion with his level of strength.
He looked a little closer around.
Woah.
The world was more vibrant, the dark shade was clear yet still dark, everything was crystal clear. There was even a faint hue given off from anything filled with life, from the butterflies to the birds, even the plants had an almost imperceptible translucent hue.
The giant refused to move, this spot was way too peaceful.
The best part about not having those human parts is that I don’t have to eat in order to starve, don’t have to drink in order to quench my thirst, I don’t even have to sme-...
Wait.
The giant then noticed that he could smell…
How is that possible…
The giant used his domain to perceive the area around him, it was a skill that had been with him since he was still a rock, within the domain he was able to look at himself crystal-clear, maybe even a bit more so.
His face was just a big trapezoid-shaped rock with two glowing eyes that were more like wisps. He had no nose.
He looked around his entire body, but the only thing that he could see that even had the ability to smell was…

The moss…
He looked at his purple-mossy cloak, it waved with the breeze slightly, it even had a crystal-like reflection, it was extremely mysterious looking.
He focused closely on the moss, after looking closer to the extreme, he could faintly see tiny fractals that moved like feelers on the moss.
Amazing…
If it was his previous self, there was no way he could perceive so closely, even to look at himself, but now, his vision was spectacular. Just looking around, he spent a little more than most of the day just sitting in the same spot looking around.
He noticed something weird though…
Why are the insects, birds, even some of the critters are staying away from me, the closest I saw was a fly come six feet close then it almost… ran away.
All of a sudden, his instincts rang out, it was a deep call from his soul.
Something is going on…
The Ruin Giant closed his vision off, no domain, no great eye-sight, he was only looking thoughtlessly inwardly. He blanked out, losing all useless thoughts, he could feel something, something wavy.
Hmmm? A wavelength… and it’s coming from me? Inward? No… It’s radiating off of me. It almost feels magnetic but… it’s not the same.
His thoughts were sporadic due to the state he was in, but he could sense everything around him clearly, it wasn’t a type of vision or perception he was used to, it was more like aura. He could sense life, death, and various wavelengths from the surroundings, and he could sense one coming from himself.
He had some sort of power gushing out of him and it created a type of field around him, it was exactly six-feet in radius. He focused on the feeling and then tried to bottle it up.
It worked.
The strange field radiating off of him cut off like someone putting a damn on a river, there was no longer any strange field, but then he noticed that he couldn’t feel his aura or anyone elses. It felt empty around him.
Strange…
He tested it a few times by releasing and bottling his aura up. It was another type of sense that allowed him to detect more than just life, it was another mystery for him to explore.
He opened up his vision after a few minutes of trying to sense if anything strange happened while bottling up aura, only to find that a handsome Blue Jay landed on his hand, it was just sitting there looking up at him with his head cocked.
Why… hello there.
“Hello! Helloooo!”
Ummmm… what.
The Ruin giant almost flung the bird off, but he exerted self-control remarkably fast, but then noticed that the noise wasn’t from the Blue Jay, which just then also flew away.
He looked up to see a hunter.
Ohh, he’s not nearly as good looking as the Blue Jay…
A man was on the opposite side of the river looking down and up the stream, he had an arrow in his right shoulder and held a broken iron blade.
The man had messy black hair, and his armor was mostly dark leather and some of the more loose parts were covered with some chain mail, it was a pretty well-made armor set.
Well… HOW EXCITING!
Wait! He doesn’t see me?
The man didn’t seem to see anyone and looked somewhat distraught, alongside to go with his flushed face, bleeding shoulder... and possibly a limp leg.
I wish I had a voice! Hmph.
The man washed his hands which were covered in some blood, it was a bit lighter in color than most and almost pinkish.
That looks like it's probably goblin blood. WAIT A GOBLIN! THAT’S HOW EVERY STORY STARTS!
