183. Traversing Back

"Oh, I nearly forgot about this," Meng said, a hint of amusement in her voice as she looked through the panels floating in front of her.

She already has 5 Soul Wondering pills from the Gacha Wheel so she didn't really care about getting one more to her collection. And as for the daily missions, she would have to see what rewards come with the missions otherwise she might not pay attention to them.

What really got her eyes sparkling with anticipation was the Top Grade System Pack, she was able to get the unique grade fortune ring when she opened her first High-Grade System Pack, so she began to wonder if it was just by chance or if the first time opening any system pack is special.

But then again, when she first opened the beginner system pack she didn't receive anything special, the same could be said for the intermediate system pack, however, the rewards for that one were plenty, and that's how she got the egg of Purple after all.

Top Grade System Pack

Looking at the small package floating before her Meng Lin tried not to dwell on the past as she said "yes", waiting to see the results herself.

As the pack opened, a dazzling array of light spilled out, revealing its contents: [You have received 10,260 system coins, 590 middle-grade spirit stones, Unique Grade item: Soulbound Amulet of Resurrection, Immortal Jade x2, 300 beast forage, Gacha Wheel Ticket].

"Oh, I never even considered the possibility of this" Meng Lin said as she saw the rewards of the top-grade system pack, her system coin and spirit stones had doubled, which didn't surprise her much, it was the unique grade item that surprised her.

The soulbound amulet of resurrection was an item within the system Gacha wheel, she didn't think she would receive it within one of the rewards of the top grade system pack, and she was even more shocked that it was a unique grade item.

Opening the system menu Meng Lin immediately went to the Gacha wheel and found that the item was not there, she wondered if it was because of its unique grade that there was not another one of it or something else.

She also saw the new items that replaced the old ones but she didn't pay them much mind as she intended to leave this place first, she still wasn't feeling safe after witnessing the eyeball in the sky, she could see the Li family members coming towards the courtyard as well and she wasn't in the mood of interacting with them.

'It's a bit of a letdown that I wouldn't be able to get the Primeval Sea Barrier Crystal which costs over 18,000 system coins & 8 Immortal Jades, but that's to be expected'. Meng Lin thought, however she was already happy to receive the unique grade item, it might come in handy within the Primeval Sea.

"Now!", Taking out a talisman which glowed with an intense energy, Meng Lin looked at the surroundings before flying high up into the sky.

injecting qi into the Spatial Storm Talisman, Meng Lin was startled when the space before her distorted and a small black sphere materialized, the sphere didn't take even a fraction of a second before it rotated with so much force that Meng Lin didn't have time to react as she was swallowed instantly.

****

Meng Lin opened her eyes to a familiar sight, the tumultuous, swirling colors of a Spatial Storm were swirling around her, she found herself in the eye of a Spatial Storm.

The Spatial Storm Talisman had worked, and within the eye of this Spatial Storm Meng Lin suddenly felt that she could somewhat control the direction of the spatial storm through the Spatial Storm Talisman within her hand.

Haa!!

Meng Lin sighed in relief as she realized that she was safe for the time being, if it were not for the big eye that appeared after her tribulation she would not have been in such a haste to leave the Qiankun World.

Now that she was within a Spatial Storm Meng Lin could clearly feel large amounts of elemental qi swirling around her, the Qi of space seemed to be the directing force of this Spatial Storm.

She marveled at the thought of learning such a unique elemental qi however she quickly threw the idea at the back of her mind, the Primeval Sea wasn't exactly a safe place so she had to leave here as soon as possible, she thought.

Recalling the layout of the Primeval Sea from the realm traveler's map etched into her memory, Meng Lin began to release her spiritual consciousness, which entered the Spatial Storm Talisman, quickly allowing her to see the outside of the spatial storm.

As Meng Lin released her spiritual consciousness, she observed the chaotic and mesmerizing scene outside the spatial storm. The swirling colors of the sea created a captivating dance of elemental strands of energies.

The vibrant hues of blue, purple, and silver intertwined and clashed, forming intricate patterns that seemed to stretch into infinity.

Within the storm, Meng Lin could see glimpses of an otherworldly landscape, she caught sight of towering mountains made of crystal. It appears that she had stumbled upon a hidden realm, Meng Lin quickly used a feature of the Realm Traveler's Map, marking the mountain so that she could find it anytime later on.

The reason she did that was mainly because of the primordial sea itself, everything is constantly moving within this sea, so if she were to return here in 10 or 100 years, she might not see this mountain here.

As for why she didn't try to enter this mountain, it was because it was way out of her league, from some of the notes within the realm travelers map, Meng Lin knew that you have to be at least within the Ascension Realm to enter the sea to explore, and that was just the minimum requirement.

Thinking about such a realm, Meng Lin couldn't help but think of Luang Chen, slight pain and hatred emerged within her eyes before she shook her head, she had to focus.

With the realm traveler's map guiding her, she used her spiritual consciousness to navigate through the sea, she could feel the Spatial Storm moving at a fast pace, ripping through any obstacles along the way and heading towards a certain place.

As the storm carried her towards her destination, Meng Lin began to make preparations, taking out the Soulbound Amulet of Resurrection, Meng Lin couldn't see its description but she guessed that it only needed a drop of blood at the center of the amulet to activate.

Meng Lin focused her thoughts and injected a drop of her blood into the amulet. The moment her blood touched the amulet, a surge of energy rippled through her body, connecting her essence with the amulet.

The amulet suddenly burned and turned into dirt within her hand, however she felt its presence on her soul and it added another layer of security for her.

Hmm!!

Meng Lin suddenly sensed something within her spiritual consciousness as she saw a giant weird looking beast in front of her, the only word she had to describe it would be that it was very large, she felt like a speck floating right next to it, even within the large Spatial Storm.

The beast appeared to be sleeping, it was curled up together and every breath that it takes seems to reverberate the whole area around it, space distorted and the Primeval Sea chunked.

Meng Lin quickly took control of the spatial storm talisman, directing it around the beast. The swirling storm might not have touched the massive creature, but it still stirred in its slumber and its eyes slowly opened to reveal a piercing gaze that sent a shiver down Meng Lin's spine.

She realized the beast was looking at her, and the spatial storm covering her seemed to not exist within the beast's gaze, Meng Lin's heart raced as she waited for what the beast would do, however after looking at her for a moment it went back to sleep, as if not bothered by her presence.

Relieved but still wary, Meng Lin did not waste any more time lingering around the colossal beast. She directed the Spatial Storm Talisman to increase its speed, propelling her further into the Primeval Sea.

The encounter with the beast had been a stark reminder of how insignificant she was in the vastness of this primordial world. It also made her wonder about the countless mysteries and dangers hidden within its depths.

As she moved, the chaotic beauty of the Primeval Sea continued to unfold around her. Strands of different qi clashed and merged, creating spectacular displays of natural power. The sea seemed alive, and she began to wonder how it came about.

After traveling for a few days or so, the Spatial Storm Talisman began to slow, as Meng Lin began to recognize the area, although every area of the sea seemed to resemble the same, Meng Lin saw that the golden trail left by the Realm Breaking Crystal was still present, it's beginning only a few minutes away.

As her destination was near. Meng Lin began to feel emotional, she had not realized it before but she felt incredibly lonely, especially after the betrayal of Luang Chen.

She couldn't help but think about her future, was leading a life like this what she truly wanted, a life of loneliness? What would she do when she reaches the top, why does she desire to reach the top so much, would the sight above really be that pleasing?

These thoughts plagued Meng Lin as she navigated the swirling currents of the Primeval Sea. It seems like the betrayal by Luang Chen had left a deep wound, one that wasn't easily healed by time or distance.

He was truly the only person she had a sense of companionship with, and it caused a bitter smile to form on her lips, when she first began her journey she realized that the more companions one has the more tragedy one would go through but now she realizes that the more one isolates themselves then the more lonely they feel.

Meng Lin suddenly realized that her quest for power was not just about reaching the top or seeking revenge, she should not desire the top for the view it offered but for the journey it represented.

The golden trail led Meng Lin to a secluded area of the Primeval Sea, where a small crack floated within the sea and the energy of the Realm Breaking Crystal filled the area, this was the place where she originally entered.
