Hello, dear readers.

I am me, the Random Cat and your runaway author. I am sure at least some of you are wondering where I ran off too. And I am sure some of you know exactly where I went. Well, to cut to the point, I am dropping Brick.

The reasons are as follows:

* The System does not escalate well, it will fall apart at later stages

* I introduced too many characters, and then forgot a few. A particular preator for instance.

* I also forgot the linearity of time, there are five things happening directly after the end of the previous chapter.

* The arc ends too soon, and leaves Alforien too powerful years before when it is supposed to be.

* The magic system is not consistent.

* Alforien is too OP, and it is unlikely he will face any major threat at all once he gets a bit older.

* I also added too many settings and events that need to be resolved, a multitude of mini arcs that I cannot justify. And conflict with each other to boot.

* The background was foreshadowed too early and too much, and at the same time there is too much going on in the background to not immediately power up Alforien in a cheesy plot armour manner. And which brings us in conflict with point 4

* I did try to solve these things, but failed every time. The only solution I can think of is to time skip multiple times and tell the story in flashback to hide the plot holes and maybe set it right. I know better than to engage in such bad writing…especially when I also know that I will regret it

I apologize for my broken promise, when I left I promised I would come back, but now I am breaking it. I have reasons, but it doesn’t really justify my actions.
