Trevor
If there was one thing Trevor wished he could have taken from Earth, it was the warm weather. Launeior was a cold land. Even here in the south, the temperature seemed to rarely exceed 25 degrees celsius. Then again without a proper heat measuring device, Trevor could not tell what the real temperature was.
Nevertheless, it was cold here.Very cold. Cold enough that even with three layers on Trevor found himself cold. At least constantly moving forward helped. It didn’t help that Trevor knew that they would have to make a return journey back to the bunker from the village after retrieving their supplies.
To make things worse, they would have to carry the supplies and wouldn’t be able to cuddle themselves as they were doing now .
“ You okay there kiddo?” A man said from behind him.
“Yes uncle, it's just a bit cold” Trevor replied.
“Hahaha”-the man thumped Trevor in the back- “Don’t worry about that! You’ll get used to it soon enough! There be no Southers that can’t bear a little wind and snow! That is for those weak northerners!” the man said
“But those weak northerners also have much colder winters” Trevor muttered under his breath, sadly for him, the wind carried his voice over to the man who responded, “Ha! That is true! But those idiots are then afraid of ours too!”
Trevor sighed, this time making sure that he did it quietly enough that the man would not hear him.
‘I wish mother would have let someone else, anyone else come with me.’Trevor thought Traveling with Uncle Lenaor with his near constant derision against the northern residents of Launeior, even in the presence of the few that were staying in the Bunker, was not something he wanted to do
. It appeared though, that keeping Lenoar there was not something his mother wanted to do. And his mother knew best after all.
Thankfully, they soon reached their destination. The wonderfully sparse and bleak looking village of Rulen. It had been chosen because it was one of the few places around that it wouldn’t loook suspicious to buy a large amount of supplies.
The village may have been poor but it was frequented by a large number of hunters, farmers and tradesmen that sourced their supplies there. It had been a growing hub of trade until one of the Factions had set up a branch there and started exploiting locals.
A branch that, if Uncle Lenaor was to be believed, had been disbanded post the destruction of the main branch. Sadly for the villagers, the war between the factions and the rest of the mess had stopped many would be customers from coming. It had thus left the villagers in dire need of money, though less dire since they did have an abundance of supplies. Trevor had been curious about what exactly the villagers needed if they already had food, water and other things.
Apparently a village also required mortar, a supply of herbs, weapons, metals and other things that they could not find in their immediate vicinity. Quite a few of those were things Trevor could summon.
“This is it lad, work your magic and do it quietly. You never know who and what is watching.” Uncle Lenaor said
Trevor summoned his mana and began casting. Where before he had simply been forcing mana to do his will, Mage Raina had taught him a casting technique that had allowed him a much larger range of casting.
Where he could only cast objects weighing no more than 3 kg, now he could go as high as 10. Some of that was likely due to his mana pool growing, he had reached what Mage raina referred to as Grade 1 a few days ago. It was still hilarious that she had thought him to be so much more powerful before.
‘3 Bags of herbs, 7 ingots of metal, 2 short swords, 3 Kg mortar and 9 boxes of First Aid’ Trevor counted mentally in his head. The boxes of First Aid were his mothers idea. According to her, they could be easily explained as something that had been created after experiencing the war and would likely be a popular product.
Trevor still disliked making these. There were too many objects and the liquids inside were hard to conjure. Nevertheless, if they got them the supplies they needed then it was worth it.
“You done lad? It's about time we head in. Don’t want a random villager to pop his head out and see the two of us just standing. It’ll blow our story” Uncle Lenaor
“Yes Uncle” Trevor said, moving to pick up the goods.
“Better conjure up some bags too. It won’t be very believable that we trekked all those kilometers holding stuff like this. Something woud have broken by now.” Uncle Lenaor said
Cursing himself for his own foolishness, Trevor conjured some bags around the goods. Now equipped with all they needed to make the trade, Trevor and Uncle Lenaor headed towards the town

Alforien Arlford.
I had been half expecting to wake up in some sort of dungeon, or perhaps even in a new world all dead. Instead I woke up in my bed, safe and sound. Well okay, the bed was not mine. Mine had been burned to ashes by Arlun and his fires, this was one of the spare beds the prince had. And yes, he had spare beds. Seven of them. Why it was so was not something I could say.
Testingly at first and then with a bit more force, I moved my leg downwards. Thankfully, this new bed was low enough that I could jump down from it. Today I had decided that I was not going to leave the room before doing my conjuring. Less chance of it being missed if it was already done.

Shaking my head to clear the sleepiness I stepped out of the tent, it was time to start the day and find out how exactly the army was going to react to my limits.
Outside the tent, the camp was in a state of constant activity. How did I know it was constant? I knew that because every person I asked seemed tired. Hunched shoulders, tightened face and teeth clenched they went about.
While I was walking to the healer’s tent, I saw at least three soldiers lose their grip on their weapons. Thankfully, they were able to catch it in time to stop injuring themselves, but at this rate it was just a matter of time. I ordered all three of them to bed. I didn’t want to lose anymore people after all.
Everytime I passed someone that looked to be too tired I sent them to sleep, making sure they listened. Though none of them seemed like they really wanted to protest. Now to see why exactly this was happening.
I stepped into the healers tent expecting it to be operating in much the same manner as the rest of the camp. Instead it was being run quite differently. There was only a single line of patients that led to a haggard looking Arlun.
“Hmm Hm Hmmm”Arlun sang, his voice forced and gruff sounding. The mana around him reacted to his call, causing an influx of mana towards the injured substituting most of the healed mana. It seemed to be a very helpful method but I recognised it for what it was. A Fallen Cast.
Deciding to stop it there and then I said, “STOP” reverberating my mana across the room.
