Chapter 35

Before Leah finally left, she left with one question.

‘What is your goal?’

After giving her the coldest of smiles, I clenched my teeth and ran my hand through my newfound hair.

“My goal…” I flicked my wrist and a portal appeared behind Leah. I gave her a little push and she fell through.

“Is that library. Is power. Is to rule this whole fucking kingdom. And unlock this body to its fullest potential. I will wield all of the magic in the world.” I said as the portal closed and I could see her exasperated face through the closing hole.

Now that’s done.

I walked up to the fifth floor of the library, a dozen or so books floating with me as I walked.

If I could make use of this spell, my casting would be cut down significantly. Hmm, but there is another method with rune circles and card inscribing I could utilize. However, this book doesn’t he—

I felt a light tap on my shoulder interrupt my line of thinking. Sensing the magic, it was strong but… not like Leah. More attuned with the Nymph from before.

“Elisa is it?” I asked, spinning around.

Ah there she is. The little tinker bell with her arms crossed and puffed cheek as she gave me a tiny death stare.

“It was you wasn’t it?”

I lifted my eyebrow and tilted my head.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

Me? For what? I’ve done a lot of things to anger my other classmates but I do not remember even bothering with a pea sized pixie.

“It probably is, but tell me what I did again. You only occupy a little of my memory due to your unimportance.”

I looked as she turned red from head to toe like a thermometer.

She flicked out a tiny card and it flashed in my face. I could feel the library rumble as the bookcases were transforming into… fists?

The two fist shaped bookshelves that I stood between, cane charging at me. Usually I would be able to react and counter such a brute spell but I couldn’t move. My fingers or legs were no longer in my control.

I felt the force of the two bookshelves slam into me. The pain as my ribs were cracked by such a spell. It’s strong I’ll give her that.

Then, suddenly the pain went away and the rumblings ceased. The bookshelves retracted back to their spots. Then again! The rumblings started and the bookshelves reshaped.

They charged me once more. Rinsing and repeating, each time healing me of my wounds except the pain felt immeasurable everytime.

“Haha!” I laughed, floating behind Elisa the whole time as I watched a clone version of myself get pummeled over and over.

“So you really are quite adequate in time magic aren’t you? Forcing my clone to revert back to the stage before impact only to make it relive through it once more.”

The pixie turned around with a surprise look. I pointed a finger at her and she flew down to the ground from the gust of wind exerting from my tips.

“How did you escape!” She squeaked.

I grew a smug look. Like I would tell her how I transmuted a book to be my exact replica and switched places with it behind her. These books became more useful than I thought.

“Now speak, you aren’t the only one who knows time magic little pixie.”
