“Explain” Daisy’s voice was loud enough to make me cup my ears in pain as if that would calm the voice in my head.
“What do you mean?” I said wincing. This was the first time I had ever heard Daisy raise her voice or even show a hint of emotion. I thought she was just an AI dungeon system but now I was starting to question it.
“Explain” I looked around and saw 5 of the 12 goblins that we killed on the floor next to us. I guess from Daisy’s point of view things were a bit out of sorts. I sometimes forget that Daisy can't accompany me outside of the dungeon, especially into the second dungeon.
I proceed to explain everything from the massacre of the parmadillos, the goblins, the injured king, and ending with the successful trip into the goblin's dungeon. After that, I had to listen to the ranting about all the ways that my actions could have gone wrong and how dangerous it was to do what I did. The fact that Daisy was showing this much emotion was definitely a shock. Her voice was still mostly monotone but there were clear hints of irritation and anger behind her words.
“Okay, I'm sorry Daisy. I won't do something like this again. Please calm down now.”
“I am always calm.” She said in a dry voice that seemed a little forced. I couldn't help but smile. It was nice to know that there was a personality in the voice inside my head.
“Anyways. What is going to happen with the dungeons? Technically we won, but the parmadillo dungeon was the one that had both attached to it.”
“There should be no issue in absorbing both dungeons.” I looked at the vortex which was getting weaker by the second. The king was either already dead, or would be anytime now. I looked around at the tree room. Ella was hugging Elton who seemed to not care what we happening as long as he got to eat his food.
“Hey, what is going to happen to Elton?” I asked Daisy. I remember at some point she said that there was a danger to being out of the dungeon when it closes.
“He should be fine. As he does not take energy directly from the dungeon to survive there should be no problem with him staying in our dungeon.” Her words put me to ease. I wasn't sure we could keep him well-fed in our current situation, plus we needed to find a way to permanently keep him out of the caves. The dungeon started to shake and rumble in the usual way before connecting or disconnecting from a dungeon. This meant that everything was almost done with these dungeons.
“Absorption of dungeons commencing.” The shaking started to increase, even more than normal.
“What is happening?” Ella asked leaning against Elton.
“We are absorbing the dungeons now. This is normal. This is normal right?” I ended that with a question to Daisy.

“Absorption of dungeons commencing.” I assumed that was her way of saying yes. The shaking continued for a few minutes making leaves fall off the trees to Elton's delight. It was like he couldn't even feel the shaking and just moved around picking up the freefalling food. After a few more minutes the vortex finally disappeared leaving the somber feeling of knowing that the king was dead. “Absorption of dungeons complete.”
“Dungeons? So we got both?”
“Correct.”
“Nice. What did we get this time?” I immediately closed my eyes and looked at the map. Like before it was larger than before. From that, I could tell the tree room grew.
“Correct. The forested room expanded from absorbing the goblin dungeon. There is also an area that was added from the parmadillo dungeon.” The map lit up a section that was near the forested room. It was a square that was light grey similar to sand and was located under our current location in the upper left corner of the map. There was a stone wall and about 2 of our normal room sizes away from the tree room.
“Luckily it is close to this room. If it was on the other side of the map we would need to find a way to make a tunnel for Elton. One we could defend if needed.” I already thought of opening the area up as a miner spiders icon came trotting our way. “What else happened?”
“We have received funds for the dungeon as well as one new spawn for warrior spiders”
“Hey, that's something new. What is it?” In my mind again I saw the two spiders labeled warrior and worker, the warrior lit up first and faded showing 4 spiders this time. The first three were the ones I already had the poison, trap, and tank spiders. The fourth however was a spider that looked nothing like a spider. It did have 8 legs and a face with fangs that most likely held posion, however unlike the other species that I had spawned that looked more or less like a normal spider, this one was more like a scorpion. Its two legs were pincers like that of a crab, it had a slim angular body that was low to the ground with a massive thick scorpion-like tail that came from behind it.
“Oh, I want one of those!” My eyes twinkled, the sadness was immediately overpowered by excitement as I turned and headed into the caves. I stepped over the miner spider that came scurrying past me heading for the wall leading to the new desert area. I send him the order to tunnel to the area making sure to leave the hallways large enough to fit the parmadillo through them. We would still need to find a way to keep it there, maybe collapse the tunnel a little so he can't fit through. But that was an issue for later after I got my scorpion spider.
I ran into the spawning room to the altar and ordered it to spawn the new warrior. After a moment of bright blinding light my new warrior was here. He was as beautiful as I imagined. The spider was red and brown in color and about 2 feet tall at the top of its body, the tail made it an additional 2 or 3 feet in length. Although tail was a bit of an understatement compared to what I was seeing. It was thicker than my arm and came up to a vicious point that was damp with what I assumed was deadly poison. It was more mobile than a traditional scorpion tail as it was able to move in all directions like a monkey. I walked around the spider looking at the rest of its body. The two pincers were incredibly sharp with thick muscles on either side of it making me believe it would have no problem snipping through bone. I clapped with glee and sent the spider out to explore the dungeon and get used to the place.
“Can you show me the spider's information?” The image popped up and I saw a picture of the spider along with the Name, Job, and Rank sections. Luckily the Name section was empty. “Hmm, let me call him Alec.” The name appeared next to the label. I looked at the name for a second and signed. I still really suck at naming.
