"hmmm, Good morning Johnny, can you lean your head here for a second?" A voice came from the hole Glenn made, it was Jane
I leaned my head near the hole, Jane held my head, kissed my cheek and let go. Damn, my sister does anything to kiss my cheek whenever she wakes up or everyday. Jayden and I woke up at 4:00 in the morning and continued driving, it was 6:16 when I looked at the time.
We took a stop just outside the cornfield last night, away from the farmhouse. We went to sleep at 10:00 in the night.
"Want to take a stop here to practice on how to use a gun?" Jayden asked
I stopped and parked the truck to a big open area
"Okay" I replied
We went to the container of the truck, we met Jane rubbing her eyes, Glenn still sleeping, Kristy just awakened by the sunlight. We took the bag of guns, the leftover food last night and some empty cans.
We went to the meadow and started placing the cans.
"You first, I'll eat" Jayden said
I picked up the gun Ivano gave me, I raised my gun and aimed. When playing a very detailed game, 1 tip I learned is to shoot with empty lungs. I breathed in then out.

I shot the can a bit to the right and went down. I raised my gun and aimed again.

I... Missed, I wonder what are more tips to shoot with a gun? I continued practicing, 6 shots, 3 misses until the clip emptied.
"That thing is so loud" Jayden said while I hand the gun over to him
He placed the cans again and loaded the clip, he aimed.

Right in the middle, he smiled at his achievement, I just ate while watching him. He practiced, 7 shots, 2 misses. Better than mine
"I... Don't think I want to continue this, shit it consumes like a lot of bullets" Jayden said when he looked inside the box
He store the ammo shells and the pistol back to the bag and places it back in the truck. The others joined us to eat, we admire the view of the big area.

"How many hours do we have left?" Glenn asked
Jayden look at the time
"It's 6:58, we are now near" Jayden replied
We started to see barracks of soldiers, we didn't see a single human one inside, outside or around. This looks to be a checkpoint area but no one to be found.
"We are not there yet, just near. But where is everyone?" Jayden said
I continued driving and we saw a sign on the side of the road.

"Welcome To Ascendancy City"
I took a turn to the left, we are suddenly met by a big city, the building and houses are endless. The tall buildings are on fire, smokes around from the small buildings, helicopters flying around. Fighters jets came out of nowhere and dropped a bomb.
"No... Do not fucking tell me"
I continued following the road to the entrance of Ascendancy City.
"Where... Where to go?" I asked Jayden
The road is full of bodies of soldiers and Undeads eating bodies, they saw us and started coming towards us.
"Just drive and find the military or find a safe place!" Jayden shouted
I stepped on the pedal and ran over the incoming Undead. I just drive cautiously, slowly. The undead are aggressive, destroying whatever they saw, mostly the loud noises. We suddenly saw a well-barricaded guns shop.
"There might be survivors there" Jayden said
I parked the truck in a parking lot just in front of the gun shop. We called the others to come out and ran towards the gun shop. I started banging on the door.
"Open up! Survivors here!" Glenn shouted
They opened the door, there was a soldier with an armalite, he let us in and closed the door. We looked around, the gun shop is full of civilians covering the windows and soldiers guarding around.
"Any one of you bitten?" One of them asked
"No, just normal state" I replied
"How did the virus end up here?" Jayden asked
"There are 17 vehicles that came and evacuated people from Great Adam City, we are the 16th batch. The 17th vehicle, didn't arrive."
"We found them, but didn't make it out alive, they accidentally let an infected person in their car causing their crash" Glenn said
Glenn said the whole story of what happened to the last batch vehicle and even added Ivano to the story.
"The.... 2? May their soul rest in peace. They even gave you their gun and their dog tags huh? Do the 5 of you know how to handle or shoot with a gun?"
"We just took a small practice this morning, we didn't practice that long, we don't want to waste ammo" I replied
"Okay, we will tell all of you how to shoot and hold a gun. But you might be curious on how it spread here. The 15th batch vehicle who is with me, we evacuated them here. But while getting out, 2 were injured and had serious injuries. We thought that we might just get it because of clumsiness while going to the evacuation site. We led the 2 to get handled by the nurses but a few hours later. Suddenly, there's chaos happening around us, there's somehow, undead walking around. We escaped with some civilians here, we've been wondering how it spread but our only suspect is the 2 injured civilians. We... We were in a hurry when we saw the Undeads going near the evacuation site, we rushed, having no time to check on the one we rescued. If only we had time, we didn't know 2 could cause this chaos in this kind of big city, it just started yesterday and already destroyed 1/4 of the city."
"When this thing will even end" Jayden said
"Just stay here and keep quiet, we still don't know this Undeads behaviors. They are live cannibals and looking like idiots, they are immortal but if they lost their brain, they die because nothing can control no it's body" the soldier replied
He went back guarding the door. I looked at Glenn's hand, he is not holding anything.
"Did you get our guns from the truck?" I asked
"No" replied
"Why?"
"What? There's also guns in here, we can own ourselves with our own guns and carve or mark our names on it. And it's a gunshot, there should be ammo around here" he replied
I looked back at the shelf of guns, the shelf of a big gun caught my eyes. LMG would be great at killing a swarm. Snipers was once my favorite when I was young but it might help while killing Undeads frona far place and aid people who are in danger.
Just make sure to not point it to the survivors or shoot an undead and the sniper bullet went past the zombie hitting the survivor.
I picked up an unknown LMG from the shelf, it is very heavy, I started inspecting it. A hand came out of nowhere and did something from the receiver part. I looked up, it was the soldier who was talking to us a few minutes ago.
"Just checking if it is in safety mode, we don't want accidental firing. You picked a Farens C102, goot at killing swarms, contains 150 bullets inside a drum box, strong exploding-like bullets, great pick but hard to control it mostly for a begginer. Use it's stand on the tables instead. It's ammo should be 6.23 and IB8.9" the soldier said to me
He went to the others to check their picked guns. Jayden has a really long sniper, it has a long scope and even has a stand.
"A Yinvet-23 Sniper Rifle, long range, great precision, it's bullet can go pass through up to 4 to 5 people, nice pick,and I hope it's weight doesn't bother you much, it's ammo should be 14.6 mm ammo and .099" the soldier said to him
The soldier picked up a pistol from the display and handed it over to Jayden.
"But I reccomend you to carry a pistol if they went near you" the soldier added, he looked at me and pointed at me
"Also you, pick a pistol, pistol is a good secondary gun if your primary gun ran out of ammo" he said
I nodded, I just picked a pistol randomly, it is a GK gun, it's like a shotgun, strong bullets but has only 7 ammo in 1 clip. The soldier approached Kristy and Jane, both of them are carrying the same kind of gun.
"A CDR-6, the best armalite introduced, it has high-quality parts and craftsmanship, has a lot of uses like hunting or self-defence, great precision and accuracy. The ammo should be B6.1 and DT12.90, a great pick."
He approached Glenn, he is holding a shotgun.
"You picked annnnn..... Lendin-019. A semi-autoshotgun where you don't need to reload every shot, it can continuously shoot, you can reload 8 shotgun shells, you can give it 10 shells if with extended magazines, good at killing a swarm and made from a popular and trusted company, great pick." the soldier said to him
He introduced us to the kind of ammo we should put in our guns.
"We don't have a place to practice on shooting a gun but I will teach you some basics. First is the stance" he showed us the stance, we followed his stance
"This stance will give you a stable base, next is kneeling, giving you balance in stability and mobility, and last is prone, gives the most stable position but hard to move"
We followed all his teachings until we were used to it.
"Next is gripping, do not hold your grip on your gun tightly, it makes your hand shake, only hold it firmly. Third is trigger pull, when pulling the trigger, don't pull it too quickly, slowly or jerky motion. Just pull the trigger smoothly. 4th is breathing, control your breathing to minimize movement. Exhale completely, then hold your breath as you take the shot. 5th is Align your sight on the enemy. Focus on the front sight, and use the rear sight as a reference. 6th is Don't release the grip or stop focusing on the target after the shot. Maintain your stance and follow-through until the recoil settles. And now lastly is Practice, practice your grip, stance, trigger control, and sight alignment without live ammunition. Now that I have told you all the basic tips-"

There's an infected growling from the windows then followed by another group of them. All of us in the store went quiet, neither of us made a sound. We waited for them to pass.
*Bang*
We heard an explosion nearby, we stayed still. The undead outside heard the explosion, they growled and started to go towards it.

Something just flew to our shop breaking the window, maybe a debris, a part, or something.
*Loud siren sounds*
The gun shop started alarming loudly, the undead outside looked at us from the window.
